Okay, here's the apparent lineup: Green-Comic-Makuta of Comedy Red-Comic-tent163phantoka Blue-Comedy-Kpik Yellow-Comedy-iBrow Black-Epic-Shadrahk Purple-Comedy/Comic fusion-Gorgnak Silver-Epic-Brenmac I also have a plot idea already in my head: A powerful being under the name of Cravis is also seeking out the Artifact. To accompany him, he has an army of drones. Some are Toa-like to deceive the unaware, and others are completely robotic and serve as bodyguards. To try and prevent this and help the tribes that oppose the Intra, the Order of Mata Nui sends five of their number. Meanwhile, the three tribes fight it out on their planet and Brenmac and Sanctum embark on a similar quest. I'm still in the early stages, but I'll keep AT on hiatus for now and continue TBS along with this. Also, this is just an idea, but maybe we could have themes for the tribes? -Zehvor Brenmac

Well actually, I asked MoC about making my own version yesterday via PM, but she still has yet to respond to me. I also think an epic would be a cooler idea. To complete the color thing, I want to make a White version. If that's "racist", I'll change it to Silver or Diamond. If you approve, I'll start thinking of a plot and characters, though the general plot will be the same for all seven versions. -Zehvor Brenmac

The architect is now starting to become even more interesting. Since we can't do any more comedies, and since there is a high comedy-to-comic ratio, maybe we could like a Silver or Diamond Version as a comic? Or maybe even as an epic? (Although TBS is still in the works as of right now.) If you're okay with it being an epic, maybe a few of us could co-author it? Woah, this thread died quicker than a moth! (Moths only live for two days) Well maybe not that quick, but... (Revives topic) Anyways, went to Wal-Mart with the intention of getting an HF set or two or may be a couple of Transformers. Ending up leaving with the new Storm Pegasus, Earth Virgo, Rock Lion, and Lightning LDrago. As it turns out, I was wrong about the Metal Fusion 'blades being totally made out of metal. At least the Hasbro ones aren't. These new ones are only made partially out of metal. Storm Pegasus doesn't spin for as long as I had hoped, while Earth Virgo and Rock Lion spin for much longer (being Stamina and Balance types) but stay in one place, making battles with them kinda boring. LDrago is my favorite of the four, me being a huge fan of dragons, but it has so many decals to put on! (With nearly every Beyblade I've ever gotten requiring the application of decals, along with some of the HF villians from wave one, you think I would've gotten used to this by now.) Another issue I have with these new tops is that 'Faces' come encased in plastic that is difficult to remove. This wasn't the case with Rock Lion and LDrago, as they came already put together. Other than that, I'm really liking these new additions to my collection and the new line. While I don't think I'll be starting any new Beyblade discussion here anytime soon, I did want to tell you all of this. -Zehvor Brenmac

Unless I manage to fix that issue or get a new camera for christmas. That, and I don't have a final general design idea in my head yet. Thanks for reviving this MT. There are a lot more things I'd like to discuss with you guys. For now let's break away from the Mogwai/Gremlins for I want to review something. A DVD, to be specific. In this case it is the Shout! Factory release of Gamera vs. Barugon (1966). I'm just going to assume I'm the only Zehvor member that's ever been a fan of Godzilla (or any giant monster, for that matter). While he is a monster loved by many, others, when they think of Godzilla, see fat men in rubber suits either beating each other up or desroying cardborad structures. While the name is known the world over, his serious side and what he originally started out as (a metaphor for the atomic bomb) is not. While I will not deny that can be rather ridiculous at times (Godzilla flying in Godzilla vs. Hedorah (1971), for example.), Gamera, to me, is even more so. From outlandish-looking monsters to monsters with even more outlandish powers (Barugon's ability to shoot a rather destructive rainbow out of his back). Add in the fact that children are the main characters most of the time and you've got yourself a rather cringe-worthy film series. So why do I like Gamera so much? I don't know. I guess I just think of him as another Godzilla. Which, if you haven't guessed already, he sort of is. Released in 1965 by Daiei (A Japanese film company that went into bankruptcy in the early 1980's) to compete with Toho's Godzilla series (by which time already had six films) the original Gamera, The Giant Monster was a hit and so a big-budgeted sequel went straight into production. And so here we are. When I first saw this film years ago in a DVD boxset titled "Japanese Monster Movies Vol. 1" (With it was the original Gamera, The Giant Monster, Gamera vs Viras (1968), and Gamera vs. Guiron (1969).) I remember the audio and video quality being pretty bad. (For example, until now I didn't know that Gamera was attacking a dam at the beginning of Gamera vs. Barugon!) I watched all four films in one night and never watched them again (so my memories of them are fragmentary at best.). The original Gamera was only one I really liked. However, after seeing it on a new HD transfer on this new release, I can say that Gamera vs. Barugon is my favorite Gamera sequel (before you ask, no, I do not base movies on video/audio quality. I just like it a lot more than I did before.). I plan on reviewing the film at a later time, as this is solely for the recent DVD. Like most DVD reviewers that I've seen, I'll break it down into a few parts: Video, Audio, Extras, and Overall. Before I begin, here is the synopsis from the DVD back cover(Note: The Z Plan was a plan that involved trapping Gamera in a rocket and sending him off to Mars. It failed, however, when a meteorite crashed into the rocket and released Gamera.): Anyways... Video-Like I said before, this is an HD transfer of a 44-year-old film, and so the video quality is superb. I actually have a better idea of what's going on than when I first saw the earlier release. The colors are very vibrant this time around (such as the blue flames jutting out of Gamera when he flies and Barugon's purple blood.) Add to that the fact that I watch it on my HD flatscreen TV (even if you don't have one like me, the quality will still be very good.) and the video here is far ahead of the first DVD release. Score:9.5/10 Audio-Like the video, the sound here is much better than the first release, sounding more like a cleaned up audio track and less like a low quality one. I can hear what the people are saying, even if I can't undrstand them. Thankfully, the dialogue is accompanied by permanent English subtitles. Score:9/10 Extras-Other than a few galleries and an audio commentary track by August Ragone and Jason Varney, there's not much in this area. As I don't really care for the galleries, I'll just talk about the commentary here. It's very informative if you want to more about what went on behind the scenes and some of the actors' careers (and I certainly did).The two go off track at time but it doesn't really bother me. My only peeve (abeit a very minor one) about the commentary being that they list the years of same films more than once. I personally believe once is enough. Here a few of my favorite parts from the track: Score:8/10 Overall-This is an exellent DVD of Gamera vs. Barugon. I only wish that there were a little more extras on the disc, but the audio commentrary is enough to satisfy me. Overall Score:8/10. I would highly recommend this film to any fan of Gamera or monster movies in general. On the other hand, avoid ones like Super Monster Gamera (1980) and All Monsters Attack (1969) like the plague. Anyways, I'm not sure just how we would work this into the story, as the plot of the film takes place 30 years in the past, at which point in time MT was the only living Bionicle on Earth (BIONICLE itself had not even come into concept yet.) But yeah, maybe we could find government files on it or something, but I really don't know. Kinda necessary if you want to have a career as a film director someday. -Zehvor Brenmac

Man. Would have been a great twist if was revealed that 4-Mask had actually survived the explosion, absorbed an immense amount of Xenon, and became that entity. But I guess it is not to be. Also, are you saying the Dark Lord is powerful enough to take out 16 Toa (or in this case, 14 1/2 Toa, a Makuta, and a Matoran.) at once? I'm scared now. Oh well. Anyways if we can get back on track here, I would like to see more of Maxilos and Spinax and Hydraxon. Less of the Guest Stars, as I think they've been featured a little too much, and of the Dark Lord himself, as we have yet to see him and he appears to be the only threat at this point (all his minions were killed). I want to see all 16 Zehvor take him on, though I have the feeling he only wants to fight you, MT. (Speaking of the Dark Lord, can I show my MOC of him now?) And is 4-Mask really the Dark Lord? -Zehvor Brenmac

Taking another look at it, the MOC's body, arms, and legs all feel like a modified Toa Inika, the main problem with the head being the large hole through it. You're really telling me you didn't have any beams lying around that could have helped? I know I'm not being forced to look at it, but when you actually post the pics, it's kind of inevitable. I think my eyes would be drawn to a large black and silver being with big orange "eyes". In terms of being mutated, the head is perfect except for the hole. There is however, a difference between being mutated and being deformed. If he was mutated he would be totally unrecognizable as a Skakdi. A good example would be the Dark Hunter Subterranean, who was once an Onu-Matoran until the contents of a Ga-Metru experiment spilled on him, causing him to mutate into something that wouldn't be recognized as a Matoran at all. But Ihr is not a mutant. He's deformed, meaning while there would be some things out of place about him, he could still be recognized as a Skakdi. Your Ihr, to be honest, looks more like a Barraki. And he isn't. He's a Skakdi. Bringing up the saw again, would'nt have MT (who is ultimately deciding who wins this) wanted it to look, well, dangerous? The saws used on mine and Sonu's versions both look formidable and deadly. The saw used on yours looks more like a shuriken. Lastly, in terms of customness, I'll rank them form best to worst. Sonu Mesonak Mine (I feel like it's sort of a Toa modification, but at least the legs, torso (somewhat) and staff are custom.) Yours I cannot see this turning out well. At all. -Zehvor Brenmac

Once again lev hits the nail right on the head. I'm not sure where you saw purple inmy MOC of Ihr though, because his entire color scheme consisted of black, green, and gray. (Except for the Skrall Saw Blade Shield I used for the buzzsaw, which had red on it.) I'm also not certain if it was as tall as Hydraxon, as I would have had to do a size comparison (which I can't do now because I took Ihr apart to rebuild the sets and MOCs I took apart to make him, such as Reidak, Zaktan, Skrall, the Skrall Star, Tuma, Ehlek and Huntress.) TA, as much as you tried to make the head custom, it ultimately failed, in my opinion. The buzzsaw is also too small. It's nothing compared to mine, Mesonak's or Sonu (Both of which made the best ones.) Also, I made my MOC of the Dark Lord/4-Mask (if it really is him) this morning. I'll show it tomorrow, as I start the 10th Grade tomorrow. Sad face. -Zehvor Brenmac
