I'm walking down the street, and it's raining (yes I have an umbrella). I think, "Hey, I bet no one wears bags over their heads against rain anymore!"

One minute later a guy with a bag tied over his head (with his face left open) ran by me.

I love these moments in life.

I took my science test this morning, as stated in a previous entry... And it was hard! D: The only thing I know I did well on was the stuff on biology and genetics. <3 genetics

I had this really horrid dream/nightmare about one year ago. I still remember the contents of it clearly as if I just woke up, I remember how I awoke from it, and I remember discussing it with friends. I hated it and feared it so much...

    After one year, why won't the dream just go away from my mind? ;_;

I think that instead of jumping straight into publishing my works in the main market, since I want to be a writer, I'll try entering the Writers of the Future contest. I'm working on a concept for it right now, and it's looking to be good.

If I can get it all down by the end of the year I could possibly be their youngest contestant, I bet.

And if I actually win that'll be a totally different thing.

    [obligatory new years entry]
    Happy New Year, kiddies!

Yes, that includes those of you who are still in 2011 as of this post. It's pretty cool talking to people from the past, you know.

sleepover was fun and had yummy food

But on Friday, one of my art classmates had pretty severe boy problems, and was barely able to paint. Her friend (also in my class) went up to her, and he said that she shouldn't hate herself for this because the world has six billion people in it, in which she's only met a few, and that among those six billion, one person would be just for her.

We had a half-day at school today for parent-teacher conferences, which my parents never attend. Per my birthday (which is actually tomorrow), I was out celebrating with friends, and I got a new mouse pad: One that has Shinku (from Rozen Maiden) on it. Wheeee
(as I was looking up that picture and writing this, one of the Rozen Maiden openings started playing in WMP ._.)

Other goodies: A crocheted Pokeball, two of those small voodoo doll things, a turtle cell phone strap, and a cube necklace. A pretty sweet day.

And my friend bought a Mincinno plushie for herself when we went to the Nintendo store. So cuuute~

I watched this Broadway musical today for an English class trip, and it was just amazing. It may not be for all ages, but what the show had to say about the truth and the consequences of lying is simple yet sticks with you long after the show is over. The ending was spectacular and sudden as well.

Overall, it lived up to the few reviews I've read of it. I'd go into what detail I can about the show, but sadly I have some other writing to do.

The theater was pretty, though. :3

Ah man, I dislike this week so far. I've had fake stomach aches for half of it, haven't gotten enough sleep, and can hardly focus on my artwork. Thankfully I'm not drawing or cutting in Printmaking, we're only making the actual prints with the giant, old machines.

Except today I'm legit sick, and I could hardly walk this morning from the pain, so I stayed home. There's breakfast on the table, and I'm hungry, but it doesn't look appetizing (nor does anything else in the house) and I'm afraid to eat it. ):

However, tomorrow and Friday will be awesome. My friend from Texas is visiting, and we get to dress up in school on Friday for the half-day. :3

And that leads to my current task of making my sick day productive! Preparation for NaNoWriMo!
    - Concept: oh man I need to fix quite a few things here. Really old, messy, and has lots of blanks were crucial information should be. Plus editing characters.
    - Music: I'm building a playlist for the event of awesome soundtrack and trailer music, some nice Japanese songs, some metal songs, etc. I'm going to need that inspiration.
But this is going to be fun and I'm so excited :3

I've noticed that in some anime/manga illustrations, artists choose to represent water or wetness with something that looks like a stretched out bit of thin wax that got holes in it as it was stretched to cover the character or item.

I can only find one example image for now, from CLAMP's manga X, seen here (notice on his skin).

I mean it looks pretty and all, but I wonder why artists might draw it as so. I, for one, fail at drawing and coloring water and/or wet things.

Earlier today, the metal legend Ronnie James Dio passed away.

He was one of the guys that got me into metal not too long ago, and I loved what few songs of his I had back then. To this day he is still awesome, and always will be. <3 I dressed up as him once, old readers of this blog might recall.

    Rest in peace, Ronnie.

I now present the lyrics (as close as I can get them) to one of my favorite songs of his, and one of the first ones I heard from him. : Holy Diver.

    Holy Diver
You've been down too long in the midnight sea
    Oh, what's becoming of me?

    Ride the tiger
You can see his stripes but you know he's clean
Oh, don't you see what I mean?

    Gotta get away
    Holy Diver

    Shiny diamonds
Like the eyes of a cat in the black and blue
    Something is coming for you!

    Look out!

    Race for the morning
You can hide in the sun 'till you see the light
Oh, we will pray it's all right.

    Gotta get away, get away

    Between the velvet lies,
    There's a truth that's hard as steel.
    The vision never dies,
    Life's a never ending wheel.

    Holy Diver
You're the star of the masquerade
No need to look so afraid!

    Jump on the tiger
You can feel his heart but you know he's mean
Some light can never be seen!

    Holy Diver
You've been down too long in the midnight sea
    Oh, what's becoming of me?

    Ride the tiger
You can see his stripes but you know he's clean
Oh, don't you see what I mean?

    Gotta get away, get away,
    Gotta get away, get away,
    Holy Diver!
    Sole survivor!
    You're the one who's clean!
    Holy Diver!
    Holy Diver!
There's a cat in the blue coming after you,
    Holy Diver!
Get away, get away, get away,
    Holy Diver~

99.5 on my global history midterm, 99 on English midterm, 95 on science midterm. =D

My art midterm will take a while. In fact, I haven't worked on it since Tuesday. The school is having all the art classrooms make a mural thing that they'll hang up in the wall this Friday, so I've working since last week with a few people to get that done. We have all the artwork for it, which the whole class worked on, but now us "committee" people (as my teacher calls us) have to put it together. It's looking awesome. However, that means my midterm is going to be held off for a little while. And if I end up bringing it home, that means I'll be dragging a huge piece of wood with a 15" by 22" piece of paper attached to it. Dx

But I'm feeling pretty good right now, so I can go crazy about my art midterm later.

So I realized how many people I really know well.

During school it's all your natural day-to-day people, same guys in the same class and hallways. And lunch.

But after school, once I got out with some pals, I instantly noticed a dude from my art class across the street. He joins us, along with some other people I see on occasion. We walk to the end of the block, and we're at the concert hall. Outside, this small concert group is holding a classical music concert, and everyone's gathered around. I see people from my middle school who go to my high school now (but I don't see them D:), and I join them. In the crowds I notice lots of people, and I find myself waving and shouting names and "wassup"s. And I see more people at the train station. And I see a dude from my middle school (who went to a different high school) on the ride home. And then I see a dude from my math class on the walk home from the station.

And I realized today that just going into high school I know a lot more people. Elementary and middle school were so closed in, possibly because I was in the same school for nine years, but this is a big difference. ._.
