    So grandma's house.

Nice computer (horrid keyboard, though), milk & cookies, my concept, Bleach OST, and a new book I bought today (Bell Canto by Ann Patchett).

    Once again, this is cozy.

    also good food

So I read all four volumes of Tite Kubo's debut manga, Zombie Powder, today.

It was interesting, although he ended the series (so far) less veered on the plot and a lot more on the characters... in my opinion. Leaves you kinda hanging, although the fights are fun. Even if it's unfinished, the feel of the fourth volume's ending is a bit like that's all there is ever gonna be for this story, such as with the doctor's proposal to Wolfine and Gamma's decision about Elwood and all that... Just feels a bit funny.

Gamma Akutabi = Grimmjow Jeagerjaques? =P

When you're writing, especially complicated stories such as Science Fiction and Fantasy, you want to lay out a good concept that your story will be based on.
This includes (but may not be limited to): Setting (location [if a made-up location, name, description, characteristics, major figures, history, government, and other], time period [may or may not be based on our world timeline], age of technology, laws of physics), Species [made-up/mythical species need naming, description, abilities [if any], and where the species is commonly located/affiliated), Characters (names, descriptions, bios, abilities [if any], relations to other characters, affiliation), Factions, History up until current plot, and summary of plotline of story (unless you prefer to let it come out as you write, although even without a basic idea of this you could mess up). If your story takes place in space or on another planet, you probably have more to do in terms of physics, technology, etc.
Then you can write with a clear vision of what's going on.

Aaaaand I'm doing my book's concept right now, hence writing this entry to help clear my mind a bit. >__>''

So here are some pics I took at Brickfair. Not a lot, though, cuz some photos sucked or didn't have good MOCs in them. So enjoy. =) It's just one gallery, but fun pictures. =P

So basic summary of the weekend:

I got there on Wednesday, and was touring DC that day and Thursday. Thursday night I checked in to Brickfair registration, and was set to gooo.

So Friday. Friday was walking around the expo checking out the sets before the public came, watching a couple of presentations, and meeting Spink. It was interesting and awesome. =P

Saturday was more fun. I volunteered for some time (better than Spink's five hours in a chair), and got a free t-shirt. Then after the public visitors scattered like crows, there were the evening ceremonies. Just before that, I snagged some seats with Spink, and he told me to go grab a prototype piece since I signed the guestbook. So I ran over to there and beat up the BZP staff for a prototype. After some introductions and other miscellaneous things, I got a brown and gold meld Skrall mask.

After the ceremonies I watched the Speed Build and Combo build, then me and Spink got out of the expo, moped, and chilled with the staff for a few minutes before bed.

Sunday I was absent for all the public visitors (including Dudebot D=), since I was touring in DC. I got back, but they were already packing up stuff.

So yeah then today I got back and it's all cool. =D

Oh my dear Washington DC bus terminal,
Your service was impressive, and I left your hospitality quite pleased. But I have one complaint.
As delicious as they may have been (I didn't try them, sadly), I wish to inquire about this:

Cold potted plants certainly seem like a treat, but it's a bit questionable, so I'd like an answer as soon as possible.
Thank you for your attention, and I hope to come back soon. =)

Here's a quick list of what I've done, since I'm low on time and getting ready to leave tomorrow morning for DC/Virginia for Brickfair:
    - Watched a ton of anime (I'll compile a list later)
    - Been to Philadelphia
    - Got exercise
    - Bleach Speak (coughs at Sisen)
    - Got done some long-due drawings
    - Saw several surgeries, and hospital places, etc.

    Yeah not much. ._.

Anyone going to Bfair, I'll see you there. ^^

    C-sections are craaazy

In other news, I'm leaving for Philly this Sunday. It'll be fun and difficult, and I'll come back Friday. Tomorrow will certainly be a busy packing day.

And cuz I leave on Sunday, I can't change my name back to "Disky". xP Oh well, that can wait.

Aaand I have a ton of music to download in between watching Bleach episodes (152 and counting as of this entry's posting).

so yeah speedy update for you guys right there

Today I got this brilliant story/character idea while walking down the street and flapping my arms randomly while listening to "Arigato" by Home Made Kazuko.

now to find time to write this out...

This Monday starts my summer program, related to hospitals and medicine and stuff. It runs through the entire month of July. I'll also forewarn about when I have a week-long academic trip to Philly, although the exact date is not confirmed. I'll tell you guys when, though.

So, overall, this means I'll be less active than usual. You can leave me PMs or IMs on AIM/Google, and I'll see when I can get to them. As for Bloodstorm... we'll have to figure that out. :/

So I was at the post office picking up a package for myself. There was a line, with a woman in the front two places ahead of me. The post office worker couldn't find her parcel right away, so she left the line to get something from elsewhere in the office. Minutes passed, and her name was yelled.

She came running, and they still didn't have her parcel. She demanded for it, but the staff person who asked for her wondered why she wasn't in her place at the front of the line. They broke into an argument, with the woman saying her place in line should have been kept, and the staff saying she should have been present to keep it.

Then, the woman broke down and yelled at the staff about how she pays all these taxes and bills for the government (makes no sense in relation to situation, right o__O), and wouldn't let the staff lady finish her sentences. She then demanded the staff person's name, got it after a minute, and then asked what the complaint number for the post office was. She got it, then stormed out of the building, pulled out her phone and calling that very number.

    I wanted to smack her.

But I got my package, and then I saw Ice Age 3, and then I chilled at Barnes & Noble and read one Black Cat volume and three/four Bleach volumes.

    What a day.

    omg shoes

So I got a sleek pair of white sneakers, and really hot black boots that go halfway up my lower leg. The boots are a pain to get into and get off, though, with all the laces they have. But I'm satisfied.

I was also looking for a backpack that I could use this September for school, to no luck yet. I saw an interesting bag online, with Train Heartnet on it. I wonder if my parents will let me get that. =P

I went back to Borders bookstore, and read four volumes of Black Cat and six volumes of Bleach. Ten volumes of manga total today, and fifteen total for the weeks so far.

I was also looking for a book required for reading over the summer for school, but the bookstores didn't have it in stock... :/

I have a couple of favorite vocalists, so just thought I might as well say who they are.
    Jorn Lande (Masterplan*, Jorn, Allen/Lande)
    Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish)
    Ray Khan (Kamelot)
Ronnie James Dio (Dio, ex-Black Sabbath**)
Hansi Kursch (Blind Guardian, Demons & Wizards)

    <3 these guys

*it was recently announced in a magazine interview that he is returning to Masterplan as vocalist, so rejoice!
**technically, he's back with the Black Sabbath gang in a separate project, touring around and singing BS songs.

So we were waiting for the bus at the stop on the street. An elderly lady comes and nearly bumps into one of the guys in my group, and scolds him three times about how he was in the way.

Except the street was nearly empty except for us so she had plenty of space to pass through.

People these days. *shakes head disapprovingly*

So I was in a Barnes&Noble, before I realized that Borders had a way better manga and anime selection.

Moving on, while I was in Borders I read three volumes of Black Cat, two volumes of Bleach, and skimmed through the Haruhi manga and light novels.

I was so happy reading those five volumes of manga... :3

So I was at the beach today, in a certain State Park where one can also spot deer and rabbits. Sadly, I didn't see any, so I blamed it on the fact that I was wearing my wolf shirt. Hungry, hungry wolf... >__>

ALSO ASVERTISING check out Leader's new RPG Bloodstorm.
