My middle school math teacher almost ran me over in her car this morning while I was crossing the street to the train station. She had to make a turn, and ended up almost hitting me. Then she pokes her head out and says "Hi!"

I'm just like ".__. Hi," and a wave.

And finals next week. Aka double-period exams. ;__; Only benefit in these is a shorter school day, and that one extra long period of lunch.

Glucagon is just an awesome-sounding word. Don't you agree? It sounds like something someone would name their mech or robot (at least, I would xP). But, sadly, it is something that regulates blood sugar levels when they get low. How disappointing.

And Blade got the 800th comment in the blog. Not very exciting comment, but I just happened to notice it. =P

finally this category is being used again

I listened to some of Cryoshell's latest releases today - their new remixes, and the two new songs "Murky" and "Falling". I found them pretty awesome.
    @Blade: Take me home~

And apparently my brother has four songs by different artists entitled "Into the Light". How fun.

First off it wasn't even released in 2000. It was released in 1999 (in Japan, at least).

So why am I blogging this? Today, one of the few channels I actually have on TV was showing this movie (to my mom's surprise). So I watched it, and criticized it now that I had grown. Just what exactly had I watched in my childhood?

One thing I noticed was how the backgrounds in the show were generally beautiful; like an oil painting. But then comes in this simple animated character. Very thin eyes, and casting no shadow onto the ground at all.

I also got to hear the voices of the characters again, and they were indeed very childish. Even for the adults. The talking pokemon (other than Meowth) had very strange voices, in my opinion. Lugia didn't even have to move his mouth to talk. He either kept it closed or opened, but the voice came out with all syllables and stuff.

And the fourth wall was broken a few times. The one I remember clearest is at the end, when Slowking tells Team Rocket that the world (aka the audience) knows they helped save the world.

When it was over, I was like, "Whoa."

The part of my binder with the three hole rings just ripped itself out of my binder. I've walked around with it like that all week because I've had no time to go to Staples and get a new one. Stuff kept falling out and ugh. But it was fun to just pull out all of my notes and get weird looks. xP
*will get a new one this weekend*

Speaking of breaking, the wooden clothespin that's lying on my desk from an experiment I did for Science class just broke. Like, five minutes ago.

And my pen ran out ink.

Today is not very amazing, apparently.

And of the Master Plan: I found a six dollar top hat online. >=D

A friend and I were discussing something about avatars, and then it led to the discussion of fancy men. Said friend then mentioned that one of her resolutions this year was to buy at least a top hat.

So from this conversation, we devised a plan:

Myself, friend, and a few other people need to obtain top hats, monocles, bowties, and such, and then come in with these on the last day of school (~June 25th?) and spend the day saying all sorts of fanciful phrases, and adding "I say!" in front of several sentences, and other such things (unless there is one word for all of this that I'm not aware of). And we don't care that hats aren't allowed inside school - we'll be the exception!

Likelihood of plan actually happening? Not too high. xP

It was back to school today. Not a single person had a good sleep last night. At all. Including me. D:

But yeah, so I had made a CD of Fullmetal Alchemist opening songs for my friend who very much loves FMA. As a late Christmas gift, she gave me a patch of Ed Elric. It's so cute (but I dunno where to put it). <3

After this week and next week, it's going to be Finals week. And the week after Finals week is the week of State testing - but that makes me happy because freshmen generally don't take these tests in January. That means... no school! =D

And blog theme. Kanda is pretty awesome, I think. B) (Yes I will improve the text in the pics when I have more time)

also my mom is cooking mushrooms right now. I find this fact necessary to mention. =O

    Happy New Years, everyone.

This decade was sure a crazy one. Let 2010 continue the craziness.

Although I will miss saying '09 or '08 or '07 and stuff like that. I can't imagine saying '10 or twenty-ten after all these years. :'<

How do people in Naruto so easily bite their thumbs (or other fingers) to draw blood for all those summons and whatever? Was there some special finger biting lessons in the Academy? Either way, this disturbs me.

    *woo New Years*

Two movie entries in a row! Woohoo!

So since I didn't get to see it on Monday, I went and saw Avatar today, in 3D. I have to say, it was pretty amazing and not what I expected. Lots of pretty things too. <3

EDIT: Typos fixed. Grazie, Sisen. =P

Back from the cinema. I was supposed to see Avatar, but the earliest show time was two hours from the time I got to the theater, so I chose to watch Sherlock Holmes.

    It was brilliant.

S the main thing I got for Christmas was a graphics tablet. Just before I started this entry, I had installed it and set it up and tested it out. After the short setup, there was the tutorial. Since my computer's set to Russian language, the entire thing is in Russian.

It was funny every time the guy in the audio was saying for me to try out something - when I did it right, there would be a little window that opened up with a smiley face, and he would say in Russian, "Good job! You're getting there!" or something like that. My translation probly sucks, but it was still funny.

Then I drew a sloppy picture of Kakashi, and then one of Timcanpy, in Photoshop.

Fun Fact: Disky got a bottle of white-out for Christmas too. =D
    (amongst other things)

    Merry Christmas, everyone! ^^

    I'm freeeeeeeee~

School was actually fun. Because my school is crazy, the instrumental and vocal people of the school went around the halls and sang or played Christmas songs and carols. Many walked into the room, which was a delight to the students just waiting for the day to be over with so they could go home for the break. And I had cramps at the same time, so the music cheered me up.

After school, myself and a few people went to B&N. After buying some gifts, we chilled in the manga section. One of these guys is an FMA freak, so a lot of time was spent on that. xP
We also looked for a CD from the Chorus Line musical, but neither B&N nor Best Buy had it. S we gave up and went home.

Now I'm home.... munching on some salty peas (the bag they came in has Chinese on it =O) that my science partner gave me. Cuz she knows I love them. <3

Snowsnowsnowsnow! Not blizzardy yet, but it's sticking to the ground.

So today, after a delicious luncheon, I headed downtown to shop a little with my papa. I went to a holiday bazaar, and bought a couple of gifts. For myself, I got a t-shirt with a Kraken attacking the Brooklyn Bridge. B)

After that I went to a clothing store and got some... clothes. =P

Then i went back to the bazaar to get something for my granny, and also bought a hot chocolate. But, this was no ordinary hot chocolate. It was real chocolate, and not mounted in water or milk or anything like that. And with a sprinkle of ginger. Delicious.

Then I went to Whole Foods and got food for home.

The fresh snow made the trip even more fun. ^^

So finally I got a working locker. Here's what happened:

So throughout the year so far, the combination I was given didn't work on the locker I was assigned. So today, I went to the Main Office to sort this out. I first had to run up * and check the serial number on the lock. They said the actual lock on that locker had a different combination, and belonged to another student. She gave me the combination and told me to check if there was stuff. I ran up to the sixth floor from the second and checked it out. * Sure enough, there was stuff there.

Back to the office! She gave me a list of possibly available lockers and told me to find one in the area without a lock. I went back upstairs * and picked one out. Went down, and she gave me a new lock and changed the database so I had that locker. I went * and installed the lock, happily put my stuff in, etc.

Then I realized I left my art project in the main office so I went back down. Got the project, then back to the sixth floor * to chill near the door to my next class until the bell.

    * - indicates where I had to run up from the second to the sixth floor. That's a lot. =P

I rode the carousel today! Yay!
It was unbelievably fun (spin spin spin), yet myself and my friends were pretty much the youngest people there out of the few. We got out of school early today, so I guess that's why.

I also felt like Phoebe in The Catcher in the Rye... except without the golden ring. (My English teacher is going be sooo jealous when I tell her I rode it =O)

So sometimes, I ponder too hard about a certain word. I think about it, repeat it in my head over and over and over, try and spell it out several times, fit it into sentences, etc.

And the longer I think, the less the word makes sense to me. I start to not understand the meaning, correct spelling, usage, existence, and other aspects. "Disturb" and "yet" are some of the latest words I've pondered about. And, for no reason I know of, large words don't really get pondered about in such a way.

What a strange habit I have.

Someone in my fencing club told me I had an accent. A different response from when most people notice I don't have one even though I was born in Europe.
    So shock?

    *talks about random stuff now*

I still need to come up with present ideas for people...

It seems everyone's been singing Lilium recently. I guess I'm not alone.

Happy Hanukkah to those to celebrate. =D

For art class, we're going to draw the flower that we think represents us best. Help me pick a flower, guys!

So in art class, my teacher has this huuuuge bag of kettlecorn, and instructed us to take one of the popcorns in it and blow it up (in terms of size, not actually making it explode D:) so that it fills up as much area of the paper as possible. And then shade it. And we have to resist the temptation to eat it.

Yeah, well it looks nothing like popcorn. It's a giant lump of clay or a rock in the picture. Other people have their popcorn looking like alien babies or seals or something.

But if it was real giant popcorn that would be awesome to eat. =D

EDIT: This is also entry 200. woooo

My hair's been hard to brush lately. D:
And when I wash it, it's even worse.

And in other hair news, I've come up with a character for this brand new crazy idea I got, but I can't figure out her hair. I have the bangs down and all, but should her hair be long and straight? nicely cut and short? two pigtails sticking out from the side? a bun? *in before crazy hair suggestions*

    And I feel stressed out lately for no reason. Maybe because I feel I can't get my work done in time for its deadline, but I eventually end up doing it. Or I'm missing a necessary resource. I don't know... I just feel like that. ;_;

And I haven't written anything fiction in a while... I feel I need to get back to that. Maybe over Christmas break since like above, I feel I have so little time.

    so yeah.

    Today!

So I woke up at six, and took a train ride to my school for the audition help. When I got there I chilled in the art office with this other chick, and then we went down and started bringing art applicants upstairs to the seventh floor cafeteria. Thing is, the chick took them by the escalator and I used the normal stairs. When we came back together, she asks me why I had to do that. I told her it's my boot camp for them. That I can be cruel. >=D

After that, I went to the room I was assigned to and helped out a lot there. I had to model for the figure drawing, which meant sitting on a stool for 30 minutes. ;_; (worse than your job at Bfair, Spink =P) And then, I brought the kiddies downstairs. They weren't as amazing as some of the freshmen in my art class this year... but I guess one or two of them were good.

After all that fiasco, I was out at 12:30. I went over to B&N a few blocks away. Got a Black Cat volume, went up to the cafe, and bought a green tea latte, and drank that down with a pistachio muffin (it's green! Literally!). Thing is, the Starbucks people misspell my name all the time... They put in an "i" instead of an "e". But I talked about that with Spink so it kinda makes sense. xP
Also in B&N was some Lego thing at the event stage where this guy was signing some kids book about Lego Cars. And little kids were building cars. It was such a cute scene, and I looked so out of place.

After that, I went somewhere else in the store and read a bit, then I got out and walked some streets down to Borders. I went inside, and read in there. What I'm always sad about it how the manga section is right next a huge shelf dedicated to Twilight, but oh well. x(
And I was so excited t see Borders excited about the upcoming Kuroshitsuji manga that'll be released in January, since those little things sticking out of the shelves about "Borders Ink" has Sebastian drawn on them. =D

On the ride home, there were these guys on the train with a stereo (that was off, thank goodness), and huge wads of one dollar bills in their hands. Seriously, there must have been hundreds of dollars worth of one dollar bills in that wad. And there were a lot of coins in one guy's bag, too.
Then one guy thought he let his MP3 Player with the other guy that just got off, and realizes it as the train doors close. He runs to the doors and uses super strength to pry them apart the slightest and yell out, "YO! MY MP3!" But then he sat back down as the train started off and realized the MP3 player was in his bag the whole time.

    Today was certainly fun.

    First Squad is pretty awesome.

It's an anime movie about World War II. The language it's in is Russian, so I could totally understand it, with a little help from subtitles (xP). It's wasn't too long of a watch, and I enjoyed it. The ending music was short but sweet.

In life news, tomorrow I'll be helping at the visual art auditions in my high school. After that (from 7:30 to 12:30), I'll go to B&N and Borders, read some stuff, maybe buy a few things. Should be fun. =D
