    (These are only some of the things that happened.)
     
    During the past few weeks, I've felt rather apathetic about everything. BZPower, life to a certain degree, work, going back to college.. Even my love for BoA. All because of one person. My old 'boss' at the work rehab centre.
     
    For the past three years, I've been working my butt off to get where I am today. The first coulpe of years were just dragging on, until bossman had to guide a trainee. In this last year, the trainee helped me. He really did. He did in one year what bossman was trying to accomplish in two.
     
    I am grateful to the trainee, Cees, for that.
     
    I think the bossman got rather... jealous of the trainee's achievement. When the trainee wasn't around, the bossman said some bad things about the trainee.
     
    That's not the only thing.
     
    In the last weeks before I finally left, the bossman became a prick. To put it bluntly.
     
    He started to get on my neck if I came a few minutes late. He also got disrespectful when I went to the toilet during a break and I got off it a few minutes into the work times.
     
    Also, there was this time where I was having trouble focusing on my work because it was very hot and I went to get some water. When I came back from the cantina, I was only gone for a minute, he was all mad about it.
     
    He's also a hypocrite. Like, we can't say bad things or crack sexist and vulgar jokes. (Not that I'd want to.) But during the breaks, he tells the worst vulgar, sexist and sometimes even racist jokes.
     
    And when I was feeling bad, as in pretty angry, he was the one who always pushed me over the edge by saying the things I didn't want to hear and by placing doubt in my mind. And at those moments, I really felt like smashing his brains in with a hammer.
     
    Heck, in the last weeks, I even started doubting if my love for BoA was real.
     
    That's how bad his influence was.
     
    He toughened me up alright, to the point where I am barely feeling anything slightly emotional.

    I'm tired. Didn't get a lot of sleep this week. Probably going to spend half of my weekend asleep again. =_,=
     
    Egh, oh well.. The theme of the Short Stories Contest is nice.. I'll see if my mind will be creative enough in the following weeks for an entry. I might go with something mysterious...
     
    Me entering also depends on if I can break away from some awesome games. I've been pretty fascinated by Second Sight and Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption.
    Agh, such cool games they are... =_,= Look 'em up. You might like them.
     
     
    I saw a preview of Lose Your Mind, the title song of BoA's new single. OMG so friggin' hot! >_<;; I strongly disagree with the very short wig though... I hope Doping Panda's Yutaka Furukawa will do a good job in the song.
    Speaking of Doping Panda, it's a very fun band to listen to. Their music is so silly and yet, so awesome.
     
     
    I hope that I.V., X Japan's latest single, will be released soon. I've listened to a preview of the song a while ago, which is also the ending theme of Saw 4. I must say, it's great to hear them again. It's also a great song. Welcome back guys!
     
     
    Every year around Christmas on one of the Dutch radio stations, there's a Top 2000 of songs, with number 1 usually being Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. I placed my votes for this year.

    From now on, I will post in royalblue, since that color completely owns the normal blue. But that's not why I created this entry.
     
    The reason why I'm writing this is unknown to me, actually, so it might become another Misc category entry.
     
    Maybe it's because some of the songs in the block to the right are expired, wich is a shame, because all the songs are quite good. Those might need some reuploading. Uploading another song right now.
     
    Or maybe it's because my beloved BoA hurt her ankle again a week or two ago and she still isn't fully recovered from it. And she's still having her 2006 live tour in Japan. I hope she gets well soon. =[ As a result of her injury, she'll perform less dancey songs and more ballads.
     
    Ah, now I remember why I'm posting this.... The (possibly short) movie rant.
     
    This week's movie is Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Gods, I love that movie. The CGI is awesome, the storyline is great and the music is sweet as well.
     
    My eyes were fixed on the tv from the beginning to the end of TSW. The ending theme almost brought a tear into my eye. It's The Dream Within by Lara Fabian and it suits the feeling of the end of the movie perfectly. It's only unfortunate that the song was a bit faster or played higher in the movie, because it should be a bit lower...
     
    The movie itself had a lot of action which involved creatures which are referred to as phantoms. The action scenes looked awesome and the (voice) acting in the rest of the scenes was very good. The only time I found the voice acting a bit.. weird.. was when Aki Ross was telling Dr. Sid she had seen Gaia. He reacted a bit too.. uninterested.
     
    Maybe it was just me.
     
    Anywho, if you want to see a movie which looks awesome and has a good storyline, then Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within might be a movie for you.

    (This is my first time reviewing something, so go easy, will ya? )
     
    [Vehicle Mode]
     
    It's a dark gray starfighter, which looks incredibly awesome. It's what made me by the figure. There aren't a lot of paint applications in vehicle mode, but in Grievous' case, it's alright, really. There's a lot of detailed molded into the hull of the ship. Stuff like guns on the front and hull panels. Very nicely done.
     
    Features opening cockpit roof and a working missile launcher. The lightsabers are stored in the backs of the catamaran-styled hull parts. Oh, and the ship has working landing gear! Very nifty. No tiny Grievous pilot, though.
     

     

     

     

     
     
     
    [Transformation]
     
    Okay, so it's time to unleash the cyborg... By following the instructions, you'll find that the transformation is fairly easy. Some parts might cause some confusion if you're transforming Grievous for the first time. (Such as I had with the talon feet.)
     
    Also, you might have a hard time removing the gun/missile launcher the first few times. Just use a screwdriver. When transforming, you can keep one of the side panels mistransformed, so you have a place to holster the gun.
     

     
     
     
    [Cyborg Mode]
     
    Very cool. Most of the paint applications are present on places where you expect them to be. He's mostly dark gray, though. His legs are in a bit of a digitigrade style, like the real Grievous. He also has six fingers on each hand, which gives the lightsabers a lot of stability while being wielded.
     
    Unfortunately, the gun lies rather weak in his hand, thanks to the ridiculously short peg. Also, be careful while handling his arms. They appear to be rather weak and they could snap easily. The shoulder pads don't really restrict his arm movement.
     
    The ship parts can be arranged in such a way that they form a kind of really bulky 'cape' on Grievous' back, where you can store the lightsabers. This cape can be removed easily, giving Grievous extra articulation in his waist, for more dynamic poses.
     
    Articulation points:
    - Head
    - Shoulders
    - Rotating upper arms
    - Elbows
    - Rotating lower arms
    - Torso
    - Hips
    - Knees
    - Feet (multiple times)
     

     

     

     
     
    Conclusion: Get him, he's awesome.

    [Vehicle Mode]
     
    Prowl is a modified Nissan 350Z/Fairlady police car (which reminds me a bit of the Honda S2000 for some reason). Vehicle mode looks very awesome with very slick lines and paint job.
     
    Which is also The problem. The paint on the transparent parts (roof, front fenders and doors) just scream to be touched. Please don't, as the paint gets sticky real quick. Also, the paint is going to smudge. And doesn't like nail polish. Apparently, this problem is a global one, as many a toy of this mold is suffering from it. (Maybe varnish could prevent (additional) smudging?)
     
    The vehicle mode holds together really well, aside from the gun, which is hidden on the underside of the car.
     

     

     

     

     

     

     
     
     
    [Transformation]
     
    Not too difficult. Some interesting twists and turns. BEWARE THE PAINT! Really easy to memorize as well.
     
     
     
    [Robot Mode]
     
    Well, hello Prowl! Really awesome, with those doors as wings and the hood as chest. The shoulder-mounted guns look cool, despite being an unpainted white. There's a very nice color distribution all around. Primarily black and white, with a touch of red. So awesome.
     
    Prowl boasts a nice amount of articulation. Thanks to this, he's great for posing, as he can do some nicely dynamic stuff. But still, be careful with the paint! Dx

    - Hips
    - Knees
    - 'Shins'
    - Ankles

    Conclusion: Buy him if you like, but handle with care, as the paint can be a big pain.

    And here I am. Bored to death, not knowing what to type and listening to Miss Kwon's latest album, OUTGROW, which rocks in my opinion. Too bad there are only 5 new songs on it.
     
    Anywho, it's always a strange feeling when you're pretty well-known and no one replies on your latest artwork. Forgot how it felt, because it was a long time ago since that last happened. Until yesterday.
     
    I've been lurking in BA1 after the comic split-up and dang, my skills are out of date. Already seen some members with much better editing skills. Congrats guys. Haven't really noticed them before the split-up because of the edits...
     
    Hng, Everlasting just started. one of my favorite songs on OUTGROW and it's definately one of my favorite BoA songs ever. The lyrics, BoA's voice, the music... Everything's just so close to perfection. Just too bad that it's so darn distracting when playing Burnout 3. <.<;;
     
    I should get my money next week and then I'll be able to pay for the first order off the list in my last blog entry. I'm thinking of replacing the Valenti single with the Rock With You (Japan Version) single though. Not sure yet.
     
    That should be it for now...

    You Americans better brace yourself, because BoA's English debut album is almost complete. She has been keeping it a secret and dang, she knows how to keep one.
     
    I can't state my source, because of BZP's advertising rules. But yaay! *dances*
     
    And in May and June, BoA will have her Japanese concert tour.
     
    Hopefully the DVD of the tour will be out as soon as possible. xD

    My appointment with the optometrist was...educational, I suppose. It appears the biggest flaw in one of my eyes (it's crossed) can't be fixed without actual surgery. I was hoping it wouldn't come to that. I still hope it won't.

    After that, possibly some laser (LASIK/LASEK) surgery on the eye.
     
    The news pretty much messed up my day. Oh, left eye, why can't we just get along?
     
    Some stuff did reduce the blow of the news though... A bit.
     
    BoA's latest album arrived today. I listened. I want to listen again and again. Holy wark, "The Face" is such a fantastic album! My favourite of the new songs is probably the dancey Aggressive or the sweet (semi?)ballad Best Friend.
     
    I have yet to watch the included DVDs.
     
    But first, Dead or Alive 4. x)

    Did it happen again? I guess it did. I've been sleeping the weekend away again.
    Terribly sorry about that. Guess it has to do with a tiny breakdown I suffered last Thursday-ish. I was very tired from that.
     
    Eh, one good thing is that a certain game I ordered has finally arrived. So many problems with the payment and getting the game shipped.
     
    Two of my content blocks have been updated.
     
    ...And I don't know what else to say without going back to my usual subjects.

    Won't be in the Christmas spirit this year, for a variety of reasons.

    1.) My dear grandfather passed away last year around this time. It still feels so unreal...

    2.) It's been a pretty ohsnapcruddy year, what with failing college and all.

    3.) Feeling kinda lonely without my love. But patience is what I require and is what I will show.

    Fortunately, not everything was bad. Old friendships were rekindled, I'm going to receive the help and support I need and there is no Winter depression this year.
