The slidepanel-thing sounds perfect. Are you certain you can make such awesome things, if I may ask? =D
And I love the idea of the Friend Control Sillyness. I can just imagine Matau doing some kind of juggling-dance.
Again, too complicated - the avarage player wouldn´t realize why a Mask of Translation can slow down raging beasts, and if we stuffed a cutscene in to explain it, the game would quickly be filled with boring dialouge that nobody´d care about.
What I suggest is another On/Off-option. It doesn´t help the game, but with all those other mask- and elemental powers, we´ve already overpowered our characters enough.
Now, how about: When it´s turned On, the Matoran Runes in the level looks like English Letters. When it´s turned Off, they´re back to runes.
I´d probably keep it turned off all the time. XD
That sounds great. And if not, we could make it the same power as the Mysterious Toa has in the NDS version of Bionicle Heroes; A kind of telekinesis. It enables him to move, assemble or destroy certain objects in the landscape.
