Great. I got about, say, two hours of sleep last night and feel like garbage. I'm shaking randomly, and the computer is really bright. Now I'm contemplating whether to have Cheerios or Cap'n Crunch.

    Woah.

    Woooah.

There's a picture in our school's health textbooks, with some guy. Now, this is no ordinary guy. Why? Because he's being chased. BY A BEAR. A HUMONGOUS BROWN BEAR. And this is in the chapter about stress.

    It's amazing.

My friend's letting me borrow it, so I thought I'd share my thoughts on it. First off, why does it feel like I'm playing a WWII Moderator for Call of Duty 4? Is Treyarch so lazy that they couldn't even change the HUD? It looks way too modern for a game set in the 1940's. Online play is almost exactly the same too. Which is good, because it's still great fun. Co-op is a nice addition as well, and Nazi Zombies rounds off the package. If you've got Call of Duty 4 and have played the maps to death, pick it up. If not, just rent it. If you've got it and want to play it with me, send me a message on Xbox Live. My Gamertag is to the right of this post.

Next thing I'd like to mention is a new PSP game I've picked up. It's called LocoRoco 2, and it's great fun. Plus it's only $20, so I highly suggest a purchase. Not gonna go into anymore detail, though.

Also, Quiznos makes awesome subs. Way better than Subway.

And I've got to say that the last level was so amazing. The improved Gravity Gun makes it so worthwhile. Watching a Combine soldier's body fly through the air and disintegrate is priceless.

If you haven't played it, you need to. If you have access to a PC, Xbox, or PS3, you NEED to get Half-Life 2. It is that good.

(P.S: IMO, it's better than Halo. *Is shot*)

Do you like Guitar Hero? Do you even remotely like Metallica?

If so, get this game. It's the 2nd best Guitar Hero/Rock Band game yet, behind Rock Band 2. Every single song is great (Even Frantic, you St. Anger haters), and, while the list is pretty small compared to World Tour, it still surpasses it. The animations are great (The band's models are spectacular). Everything is great.

Also, what's wrong with Neversoft? They plan to release 19 freaking Guitar Hero games by the end of '09. Milking the franchise much?

Okay, so today was my first foray into the online features of Guitar Hero: Metallica (GH:M for short). Now, I start off with some Pro Face-Off, since I'd like to play against some other expert players. So I get things set up, and get looking for a match. I get paired with another expert player, which is good. Same thing happens next round. The third time, however, was not the charm. I got paired up with a friggin' medium player, which SUCKS. You see, back when GH: Aerosmith was released, Neversoft added in a new feature that allowed players of different difficulties to play the mode together, unlike the original version, where you had to be on the same difficulty. Though, they made sure the online play had filters that allowed players to only search for same-difficulty matches. Then, World Tour was released, and we got a brand new online system, that did away with filters. No, now, if you wanted to play PFO with other players at the same difficulty, you had to keep searching, and hoping that you'd get into a match of your liking. On top of that, you couldn't pick a match from a list anymore. Now you are forced into a quick-match style matchmaking service, and you're automatically put into a match.

But that's not the worst part. To accommodate for the lower scores on lower difficulties, Neversoft added a system that modified the points earned by the lower difficulty player, making them worth more so both players would be even. I hate this. This system gives players on easier difficulties an advantage. They have less notes, and it's easier, so they could get, say, 97% on a song on easy and beat a player on expert who got 96%. It's unfair to people with harder charts.

Here's how they should fix it:

Suggestion #1: Make two different modes.

What they should do is have two different version of PFO. One would be called something like "Party Pro Face-Off", which allows difficulty freedom. The other could be called something like "Hardcore Pro Face-Off", which forces player to be on the same difficulty.

Suggestion #2: Give the upper hand to players on tougher difficulty settings.

Basically, have it so that players on the higher difficulty will win if they have an exact same performance percent-wise.

Is good, despite not being as awesome as Rock Band 2. The character creator is definitely more in-depth than Rock Band's, and the exclusive bands are great and have fun charts. I've only played a couple songs, but they were fun, and the charts are better than Guitar Hero 3's. Plus, the music creator, while making sounds that sound like ringtones, is fun to mess around in. It's very deep, and expands the replay value by a mile. The characters are entertaining to watch, the tracklist is great, and it's just fun all-around.

In short, BUY IT. But buy Rock Band 2 first.
