  1. IC: TBK [17/20]

As Luroka propels SV away, TBK fires a bolt of plasma straight at the hand holding the card to trigger an explosion before he can fling it back to the duo.

Then a sword pokes his back. [16/20] He quickly retrieves it, locks it back in place, and superheats both his blades -- mostly to get ready to deliver a devastating attack, but also just to look awesome. Glowing blades and all.

  2. IC: TBK [17/20]

TBK watched from afar as a fireball blasted through the water. This made him very happy -- giddy, actually, because he now knew that he could still fire bolts of plasma. He continued his advance toward what appeared to be Ehks and Trijhak until he noticed another fight moving his way -- ShadowVezon and Luroka. Then a plan hatched in his mind.

As much as TBK wanted to fight plasma with plasma and see what happened, he decided instead to divert his course toward the second ensuing battle. With a focused burst of heat on his feet, he propelled himself toward SV, superheated his blade, and slashed at Luroka's attacker, hoping that the action in itself would hint at an alliance between himself and Luroka.

  3. Alrightee, I've utilized all of Damaracx's masks plus a few more tweaks and reorganized the kit, which now looks something like this.

Which, unfortunately, looks extremely unorganized. I'll work on that again after a while. Oh, and it includes the 2015 mask as well. :D

  4. IC: Kovant, aboard Duality

As Trun began to guide Ofeo toward the kitchen area, Kovant reappeared with three large dry towels in hand and distributed them accordingly, one for each. Kovant wasn't much of a cook, however, so with a pat on Ofeo's shoulder, he allowed Trun to work his magic on the stove and strode back toward the deck to see if anything else needed taken care of. He came back up to see a Zesk poking his head out of what had been the "breathing" crate; the sight was fairly peculiar, but otherwise, everything on deck seemed to be in order, and he decided to take up Lekar's invitation and make a visit to his dwelling. Kovant didn't particularly like asking for things, but his curiosity to see what was available had gotten the best of him. He cautiously stepped past the Le-Toa's open door and looked around while he waited for the Glatorian to finish his conversation with Lekar.

His eyes were scanning a higher shelf when he nearly tripped over some hefty object. He looked down to find an ornate scarabax shield, smaller in size than usual but all the more ornate and detailed. Kovant had been a marketer before and had seen his share of thrifty trinkets, but he marveled at the craftsmanship that had been put into the shield.

He stooped down to get a closer look, completely forgetting that the Le-Toa could have been watching him basically drool over the thing.

  5. IC: TBK [17/20]

After letting himself "recharge" for what seemed an adequate amount of time, TBK pushed himself back out of the rubble and floated lazily back out into the darkness. He readied his last blade, the first of which was last seen flying toward Zakaro, and warily eyed the shadows around him, looking for silhouettes or movement of any sort that indicated a nearby opponent. He saw several streams of light flashing back and forth at a distance, which he presumed to be hardlight weapons, so he cautiously paddled in the battle's direction.

OOC: It IS still dark, right?

  6. IC: TBK [17/20]

Well, that was almost worth it. TBK held the kicking and flailing Zakaro for only moments before his opponent wrenched free with a singed back. As he released, TBK noticed a streetlight swooshing toward himself, and he decided that he would be smart enough this time as to block the oncoming attack with both his shields. However, it still carried enough momentum to send TBK quickly floating away into the shadows from before he could... well, hug his opponent again. Just as Zakaro began to disappear into the thick darkness, TBK drew from the nearly drained reserves of his elemental energy and superheated a blade once more, firing toward the disappearing silhouette of Zakaro.

As the blade flew, TBK directed himself back toward the floor of the dome and hid within the rubble at the floor of the dome in order to buy himself some time to recharge his elemental energy.

OOC: I'll be gone for just a few hours, don't let Pupwa make the map spontaneously combust or anything

  7. OOC: Let me apologize for this ahead of time

    IC: TBK [19/20]

A foot was approaching his face. Ah, we're underwater, it won't--

    *Smack* [17/20]

Ok, so maybe he nearly bit his tongue off, but that was okay. Sort of. As Zakaro started to pull under him, he swung the top of his torso downward and arched his arms outward toward Zakaro. If one didn't know any better, it almost looked like he was gonna --

Oh. He was. He was gonna hug Zakaro.

The arms that wrapped around Zakaro, however, were glowing red and bubbling. TBK was superheating himself and the immediate area around him, locking Zakaro in a very warm embrace.

  8. IC:TBK (19/20)

Well, he wasn't doing a lot of damage. He retrieved his blade again before it floated down past him, all the while charging up his second blade to a red-hot glow for yet another "opportune" moment. He watched Chro until he was vulnerable again, and it came moments after as Chro lunged with his shadow hand. He took aim --

-- then something latched around his ankle.

And he wasn't expecting it: he jerked and let out a small yelp as he instinctively swiped his burning blade toward Zakaro's arm as he hung onto TBK's leg.

OOC: Sorry for all the edits. This dang phone keypad.

  9. IC: TBK [20/20]

The blade was a millisecond too slow and bounced off Chro's shield, much to TBK's dismay. He frowned as Chro retialiated with light bolts, most of which he deflected with both his shields. Unfortunately, they didn't quite provide full body protection. [19/20]

Chro managed to slip away as TBK swam to the ocean floor and retrieved his blade. After locking it back in place, he began a pursuit of Chro, staying far enough behind as not to be attacked again.

TBK was an opportunist, to say the least.

  10. IC: TBK [20/20]

As TBK waited for a response, TBK noticed Fisher's eyes shift to something else outside the doorway behind him. As he turned, he heard a faint cry through the water that sounded something like "Nubthlinnbersundel."

TBK raised an eyebrow and lowered his head in an attempt to see the source of the noise. Suddenly, the doorway in front of him -- and pretty much that whole end of the building -- was obliterated, replaced by a set of humongous shadow hands with Chro floating in between.

Standing on the edge of the remaining building, TBK simply shot back a smirk and shouted, "Nice of you to drop in!" Hospitality was no longer an option at this point, he supposed, so he followed up by firing one of his blades like a harpoon toward Chro, who was suspended between the two giant fists.

As the blade let loose, he called back to Fishers over his shoulder, "Would you care to join me on this one?"

  11. OOC: Ah, it's good to be back at a keyboard.

    IC: TBK [20/20]

TBK was about to lunge from the debris when the bubble-popper had already been killed. Twice. Pupwa died twice before TBK even moved.

    The thought was humorous.

He finally continued his path into the building, hoping to take cover and let the worst of the battle happen so he could take out the stragglers. An obstacle popped up in the path of his plan, however: Fishers was facing him, sitting on a chair, half dead, with warhammer in hand. An idea hatched into his mind for a near-fatal blow, but he instead decided to wait as long as he could before making any enemies.

"I suppose there isn't another chair in here?" he gurgled, hopefully audibly.

  12. It was truly amazing to watch. I almost cheered Pupwa on, aside from the fact that I could've died just as easily. :3

    IC: TBK (20/20)

As he inched closer, TBK caught a glimpse of movement behind him. There seemed to be a second presence behind him, and he stopped his advance toward Pupwa's hideout, swimming down toward the debris to take cover and observe the area.

    And he waited.

  13. OOC: I hate typing on my phone, so I'll make this short. I'll have a PC again soon

    IC: TBK (20/20)

TBK watched this scene before him unfold, and suddenly, half of the fighters were washed away. He noticed a dying Pupwa swimming toward one of the sunken buildings, and he followed far behind, waiting for an opportunity.

  14. I actually really like this already, especially considering that it's one of the only comics here with a darker, more serious tone. (And I just have a soft spot for hand-drawn comics.)

I'm looking forward to watching this Grim tale unfold.

  15. IC: Kovant, aboard Duality

He nodded in response. The matoran was obviously very grateful, and Kovant was thankful himself in knowing that no one was lost in the attack.  "You're very welcome," he replied. He then noticed the matoran's shivering, and continued, "I'll go grab a dry towel from my sleeping quarters."

He began to spin around to do so, then stopped. "I'm Kovant, by the way." He shot back another grin as he strode to the stairs leading below the deck.
