My dog was almost at that state when when we decided to put him down. I grew up with that dog, so our parting was rather... sad. Probably the saddest I've felt in years.
Yeah.... same here. That dog had been around for as long as I can remember. And she did end up unable to walk for the last few hours.... I had my hand under her, ready to pick her up, when I realized that I couldn't feel her heartbeat anymore. Quite sad indeed.
