So I saw The Dark Knight Rises. Fantastic. Not as good as Dark Knight in my mind, but man oh man was Bane intense.
In other news, yay skin! It was a lot of fun to see this come together backstage. I even had my own little part to play! Granted it was just cataloguing images that I'm not entirely sure were used... but hey, it still looks nice.
I had a pretty sweet load this time 'round, maybe one of the best ever for me.
First up iTunes money, so I had just enough to buy both Clockwork Angels by Rush, as well as Alive 2007 by Daft Punk. So good. Second up was a Zombie survival poster, which didn't really make sense since my whole family knows I'm not a poster person. Thirdly, was a $50 () Steam gift card. Snagged about 75 bucks overall.
Greatest of all however, was the T-shirts. Feast your eyes upon these beauties:
The Zelda shirt is by far the coolest, complete with the coolest tag in the world:
Apparently my dad had to order that shirt from Japan, since it's not made in the U.S.
Finally, to wrap it all up, yours truly!
I'm haunting your dreams...
Anyways, thanks for all the birthday wishes an' stuff. It feels weird to have a birthday topic in GD.
So my sister's birthday is coming up soon, and her being a Whovian (she's the one who got me into the show), I wanted to get her a Doctor Who related gift. So my question to you all is: Are there any good Weeping Angel figurines out there? All the ones I've seen so far ar kinda so-so.
Did a car wash today for a church fundraiser. Forgot sunscreen. AAAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!
In other news, I finally finished Final Fantasy VII. Such a great game. Seriously, if you haven't played it, go buy a PS1 and play it. Definitely one of the best RPGs I've ever played.
So I'm almost done with loan applications, and man are they a hassle. I leave on Monday for my church's youth camp, get back on Saturday. Also, OMG I LEAVE FOR COLLEGE IN TWO MONTHS. WHAT.
So there's that.
I've semi-recently taken up transcribing sheet music in my spare time. Got about six Skyward Sword tracks done. Also been listening to Chrono Trigger music all day because it's just so good.
Speaking of music, Rush's new album came out and I don't have enough money! *cries*
I finally watched Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Might be my new favorite in the series. I think it made the transition from book to movie the best out of any.
Oh, man. Even without the LOTR aspect, this is hands down the best LEGO gameplay I've seen. Individual character inventories, cinematics from the movies, weapon upgrading... I can't wait.
Microsoft: Oh man, I had quite a few laughs during this one. Not good laughs, definitely laughing at them. Internet explorer. Classic. Too much Kinect in my opinion. Halo 4 looked to be the only decent thing to come out of that show.
EA: Splinter Cell looks totally awesome. I know nothing about the series, but still, pretty cool. I just can't seem to get excited for the Lara Croft title though. It seems like such a great idea, but all the gameplay they've shown so far just looks terrible. So much quicktime. Just Dance 4 makes me want to puke. Just no.
Ubisoft: First off, that lady annoyed the snot out of me. I feel like Tobuscus could've actually been funny were it not for her. Not sure how I feel about ZombiU, other than the terrible name. I love that there's a mature FPS for a Nintendo console, but zombies? Watch Dogs. Oh my gosh Watch Dogs. That game better be available on Steam. It looks amazing. Cool idea, interesting setup, and it's pretty much an urban Assassin's Creed. Speaking of...
Sony: OH MY GOD THERE'RE SHIP BATTLES IN AC 3. SO AMAZING. Sony's was hands down the best show today. Even just as far as presentation goes. Beyond looks fantastic, a game starring Ellen Page is a great idea. I'm hesitant about All Stars. It seems like way too much of a Smash Bros. clone to be taken seriously. The Book of Spells looks interesting. I think it'll be a great game for kids, I know I would've loved it. Now if they release a LOTR Wonder Book...
Looking forward to Nintendo's conference tomorrow, I hope they reveal something great!
