  1. SoF is pretty OP. Two spins for every quest? It's like they want to give out money.
  2. I'm getting the last 40k Constitution exp to 99 through lamps. Lamps give so much xp now...
  3. How important is defence now? I always opted for a defender because I liked having the extra attack bonus instead of more defence. And you say you get extra health points? How does that work out? And for dual-wielding, is there a double damage splat, or a combined one?
  4. Are defenders useless now because of dual wielding?
  5. Someone seems to have accessed my account, and stole only my money. Interesting. Don't really see myself coming back now. :/
  6. The high end rewards are so rare that immediate effects on the economy would be negligible. If you check the 180 day graph of some of the rarer items that can be won, prices have either been plummeting since November, or have a nice little sine wave. The only way the update could have had a large effect is if people panicked and influenced more people to panic and then everyone panics. I agree that it is against the spirit of the game, earning things and achievement, and it does open the window to allow Jagex to do more things that can have an adverse effect on the economy, such as directly buying coins and items. However, one must always remember, Jagex is a business that wants to make money. If people want to throw money at them, why stop? Valve does the same exact thing, selling keys to open random crates for a rare chance to get a special hat, and they're pretty successful.
  7. Has no major, direct influence on the economy, so I don't think it'll matter much.
  8. Get 68 summoning, or whatever it is for a bunyip, and get torag's or something. That way, you can heal and still use whatever your normal weapon is.
  9. That agility jumping part was just terrible.
  10. Oh, you're going to have great fun.
  11. My point being, it's not your hand, it's his. If he screws up in a horrible fashion, sucks for him. You can tell him you were right, or whatever. Your hand is safe from harm.
  12. It's his hand. Chill out guys.Anyway, what would your procedure be for putting magnets and stuff in your hand? And how do you manage the pain?
  13. What other types of things have you done?
  14. So, what exactly are you implanting?
  15. No. It's small, well-hidden, but it's there. Right below the community dropdown. I screenshotted it:Oh wow, that's strange. I couldn't find it when I posted, and I couldn't log on either.
  16. Did Jamflax remove the amount of people playing from the front page?
  17. I kinda just skimmed over this conversation so sorry if I'm saying something irrelevant or whatnot, but the argument I saw about the Earth's rotation affecting the experiment results was something to do with sattelites used in measuring something or other in the experiment? So the difference in measurement could have come from the different relativistic speeds of the sattellite, Earth and the nuetrinos? I didn't read much of the article either though so whatever. Satellites are what were used to time everything. I'm almost positive that's the first thing that would get checked.
  18. I remember when it was $5 a month.Good times...
  19. Ohh, I see, that makes much more sense.
  20. Cash shop would work, but people will complain about the "achievement" of the game being gone. What's the point of earning items when you can just buy them. And especially with this game, achievement is one of the most important things to keep it interesting. And most gameplay isn't the that fun, sometimes it feels like a chore. With the games you listed, Ice, gameplay is decently fast paced, and/or pvp oriented, which helps the fastpacedness. Those games are less about the eventual long term goal, like RuneScape (camping a boss for money, skilling, getting quest requirements) and more about the instant gratification of winning or successfully. The cash shop eliminates any point in achieving things, so RuneScape would have to drastically change how it's played to make it fit in. And RuneScape is generally pretty casual; there won't be a lot of customers.
