Not a Doctor Who question, I hope lol, 'cause I've no idea. But Plague Doctors treated people during the plague, and had a beak in their masks containing herbs and so on to purify the air they breathe, as to avoid catching the plague themselves.

Agreed - the crack in Amy's wall was on the TARDIS monitor at the end, so yeah I reckon it's something to do with the crack. And maybe the duck pond, and its lack of ducks. There were quite a few potential series arcs in that episode. And apparently there's the same enemy in every episode, so I'm going for the crack as a sort-of enemy.

I watched the first part of that, then the other parts wouldn't load so I didn't bother. I doubt I missed much, though.

Yeah, the opening story of S1 tells you the basics, really, and I seem to remember the second story being a bit stupid and pointlessly vulgar. :/ But series 3 is lovely. OH AND I JUST REMEMBERED, Martha turns up in a couple of series 2 episodes I think, if you're interested. Can't remember if those episodes were good or not, just that she was in them.

It's worth having a look at, the series 1 and 2 episodes are all stand-alone episodes as far as I can remember. But DEFINITELY check out series 3, the Children of Earth story. It's only 5-episodes, but it's all one continuing story, and it just as good as the best DW episodes. So check out series 3 if nothing else.

I considered changing my blog name, but it's been the same for so long and it's just sort of stuck. So I shan't change it for now.

Yeah, I loved it, personally. Jackson Lake was a great character, I'd have liked to have kept him as the companion through the specials to be honest.
