  1. I'm a troll for even suggesting that the Android phone might possibly outdo the Apple iPhone? Butthurt.

I do NOT want to see Apple vs Microsoft elitism in this topic. Good grief, there's enough of that everywhere else, so don't bring it here. And none of that "butthurt" stuff. We're not one of those boards.
That's pretty blatant. Thanks Makaru :P Has anyone here tried out Siri yet?
  2. Yup, it still applies. Are you positive that you saw a change in post count? When I posted in CoT, I did not see a change. And Black Six seemed to confirm that posts in New Member Q&A, Bionicle Artwork II: Shops & Kits, Bionicle Games & Trivia, BZP Voting Booth, and Completely Off Topic still do not count. :) EDIT: As for your second question, it's probably best to do what you said.

    Kk, thank you

To add on; the post count on your profile page isn't the same as the one in posts... It's confusing like that. =P

Yes, I figured this out; the post count on one's page is posts with the new Forums, and the PC under your avatar is accumulated (both old and recent). Right? Meh :notsure:
  3. I remember back in the day when I played Crystal Caves and The Lost Vikings on The Apple IIE, good times. Now look at all the technology and gadgets there coming out with. Look at the Iphone, unlike normal cellphones like mine where it's clunky and difficult, the iphone's keyboard is digital and you can tilt the phone to change the view.

The iPhone is very nice, but screen orientation and on-screen keyboard are nothing new (although Apple's iOS devices use a gyroscope for precise movement detection).
  4. So on the old Forums, you didn't get post count from a few sub forums - like CoT, Q&A I think, and a couple others. Does this still apply? Because my post count is ~100 since the new Forums, and I've only posted in CoT. Only curious. EDIT: Oh, I also have another question. I'll just post it here: Should we still use the Report button to have our topics closed (for example when this these questions get answered)?

  5. I loved the original as a kid, but seeing as I was just a li'l bugger at the time, I didn't really get the storyline. However I became very well acquainted with the game engine (Unreal Ed) that I made many more Deus Ex maps than I played. Great stuff. Anyways, I have the original and hope to play through it seriously sometime (perhaps with the New Vision moderator), and my brother has Human Revolution for the Xbox, so I'll get to play that sometime too. I think I'll skip over Invisible War, since I've heard such bad things about it.

  6. I'm not a particular fan of dubstep, but I do have to admit some of the dances/videos people make to dubstep are pretty dang cool.

Have you seen "Dubstep Guns" by Klaypex? Or how about "First of the Year (Equinox)" by Skrillex? That one had me on edge xP
  7. The iron in your heart was created in a star. You were once (at least on the very basic chemical level) part of a nuclear reactor a million miles around.

Hah, I read that as 'irony'. There's a punctuation mark for irony. It's a backwards question mark. There is also a punctuation mark for exclaimed questions (we use '!?' but there is a proper mark) - it's called the interrobang, a combination of 'bang', typography jargon for '!', and interro-, from 'interrogative mark', or '?'. It looks like this: ‽ and was invented in 1962
Whoa, that is awesome. I am going to start using that :blushlaugh: @taku nova of planet earth: Boneheads of Voodoo island‽‽‽
  8. The iron in your heart was created in a star. You were once (at least on the very basic chemical level) part of a nuclear reactor a million miles around.

    Pffft. Yeah right. Proof please?
Let me see if I can remember this correctly. A star is a massive ball of combustion, atoms constantly being fused together in its core and releasing energy. The core has intense pressure, crushing atoms together to make this reaction. When a star burns out, the pressure in the core becomes so intense that it creates a supernova, within which atoms are combined again and again into molecules, such as iron, lithium, etc., which over time combine into even more complex molecules. Through this process, over billions of years, these atom formed everything around us, including the atoms we're made of.
  9. The actual annoying thing is that nobody ports games from Mac to Linux, because it's actually really easy. I'm not a gamer, but I'd be perfectly happy games-wise with a Mac. It can play Portal and Minecraft, that's fine by me. I would happily dual-boot it with Ubuntu, which I currently do with Windows 8, so I could play games.

Wait...you hypothetically have a Mac, with a Windows 8 partition...where exactly does Linux come in? And why use Linux?
No, you misunderstand me. I currently have a tower that dual-boots Ubuntu and Windows 8. My hypothetical was a Mac that dual-booted Linux - using Mac OS for games. Why shouldn't I use Linux? It runs well on nearly every computer in the world, even $25 ones. Furthermore, it's open-source, which means it's more robust than other OS's and the way it's designed makes it far, far more difficult to make viruses for than Windows (the same applies to Mac, because it's Unix-based). And I have far more options open to me. Also, my computer is quite bad, Windows is sluggish. It boots Ubuntu in about 8 seconds. That's why I use it. It's faster and safer and I prefer it.
H'm. Linux seems like it would serve as a very nice virtual machine.
