Well, I'm trying to write chapter 4 of my epic, but I'm stuck. So far, an Ar-Matoran named Teltus (Ar- is for moonlight, BTW, which makes characters of said element kinda' spacy) wandering through a bartering center, and he just got knocked over by a careless hurrier. Any ideas and/or advice?

A head for a golem-type mech. Any tips on what I should do before I merge the layers? EDIT: Progress

So, how many of you remember this entry? I suppose that it has seemed like I've given up on it and forgotten all about it. But that's not the case, oh no! So, here's Nidhiki for Xaeraz: thoughts kthxbai or i'll unleash my two-dimensional zombie army upon you

I was messing around in Photoshop, and this came out as a result. Elemental Lord of Fire Nothing spectacular, I know, but I kind of like how it turned out anyway. Thoughts?

I had to record all these horrible sounds by myself. God help me. -
Today I got my framed entry for being a finalist in the FrameMyFuture Scholarship Contest. It’s a very spiffy and nice frame: (Sorry about the flash, it was the only picture that came out.) I just have to figure out where to put it… I completely rearranged my room last week so everything that was on my walls got moved around too. I’m really happy to have received this and been apart of the finalist but I have one minor gripe, which I am going to offer as a suggestion for next years contest. When you submit your entry you have to post a file compatible for the web, so a small file size and small dimensions. They use the same file to print the picture in your frame… so my shrunken crossword that I made fit for the web got blown up and as a result it looks blurry. The contest finalist should be asked to resubmit a higher resolution version of their entry after they are chosen. If the scholarship place is providing such a fancy frame for the entries the framed entries should look the best they possibly can. Using a relatively small file size and 300x300 image specifically for the web is not the best way to print an image to be framed. All in all, it’s super cool though.

Last night I drew a zombie: Can anyone guess what it is for?

Note: This is not supposed to be religious, so don't think it is. Made in Illustrator and Photoshop. Took 30 minutes.

TTN just taught me how to change pictures every time you click. I decided to make this: [flash=100,100]http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Chunky4/Movies/tiptoeclick.swf

(The first rant from me in a very long time, I think...) I just spent the day doing my homework, which consisted of five drawings. We had to draw ourselves standing, sitting, and reclining spending twenty minutes on each drawing. As we developed the drawing stick figure, geo figure, big darks/big lights, we had to photograph our steps. Then we had to do two thirty minute or longer drawings in whatever poses we like. The same deal with the photographing the steps and documenting our progress, except we had to include the final fourth step where we shade the entire drawing so it looks finished. I completed all of this a moment ago and started transferring images from the camera to my computer. After transferring I went to delete the camera files but made shortcuts instead, so I hit ctrl+z to undo and delete. When I read the file location of things being deleted I hit cancel, because it was erasing my folder and not the shortcuts on the camera. I proceeded to erase the camera card thinking nothing of it… Finally I started sorting through all my shots because I took multiples of each drawing so I would be able to pick the best. When I got to my final two four step drawings though all the pictures were gone, all of the steps I took were gone, no where to be found… So I freaked out and now I don’t have part of my work to turn in and have no idea what to do to fix it. I could go back and trace my work and work backwards to illustrate the steps again or I dunno… I’m just posting what I have to see what the Professor says. I don’t have time to go fix it and there’s no way my sister is going to let me use the computer at 3am to turn in work… I’m pushing the limits now actually. Today hasn’t been that great… and still waiting on the doctor to call with my results. I’m going to go find something to do, because thinking about this makes me want to smash something…

The artwork forum is pretty much retarded. =/

Dunno, a sketch I made of the Neptune Carrier. Yeah, image quality isn't the best.

Here are my muscular and skeletal drawings of the hand and foot and my drawing of a skull. This is the best work I've done so far in the course and the Professor expressed that a great deal to me. You probably won't get to see anymore of my work after this as I'll be drawing live models.

1920x1200 I just felt like making it.

Just a few quick updates for everyone: First, Life Drawing is a really demanding class; I am counting the days until it is over (30 days). We have to draw a skeletal drawing of the leg, ribcage, and pelvis and a muscular drawing of the leg, trunk, and pelvis. Legs, torso, pelvis drawings are all in pairs, you turn the skeletal and muscular drawing in at the same time. The first day of the week is Thursday and the first two drawings are due Friday, the next drawings are due Sunday, and the final set are due on Tuesday. It’s quite hectic and explains why everyone was telling me it was a hard class. I think it might be the first class where I don’t get an A overall. Second, I went on a 45 minute bike ride today before finishing up my schoolwork. It was great since it was the first day without rain we have had in a while. Third, having a parent that works at Wal-Mart is awesome. Sure there is the discount they get, but what’s awesome is the stuff they get sometimes. Today, my mom brought me home a drawstring sports bag for the release of Super Mario Galaxy 2. It’s pretty sweet because I’ve been wanting a bag like that for a while. Fourth, balancing BZP with all of this drawing isn’t easy so I probably won’t be too active for the next month. That's all, oh and Doctor on Wednesday.

The results are in and… I didn’t make the top five. Even though I didn’t win a $1000 scholarship I did an amazing job, considering I was a finalist and made it to the top 0.3% of the 9000+ entries. My creativity of how I portrayed my future was inspiring and should be proud… I get a free custom picture frame with my entry in it… Hip hip nuuuuuuuuyay. Thanks for all the support, even though I didn’t win it was nice knowing so many of you were there for me. (On the upside of things, I still have the Crohn’s scholarship I’m hoping for. Anywhere in the next 10 days I’ll find out if I’m one of the winners. I really worked hard on that entry and put a lot of effort into it so I’m hoping for the best. *crosses fingers*)
