Hey guys, so...i finally finished this Pohatu drawing i've been working on in the week. Anyways, i took all of your advices and I INKED IT! And i gotta say, i really thank you for the advice of inking it with black pen, it was REALLY fun to ink the drawing, like i mean it really was fun, plus it turns out much much neater than others. I started to change the parts a little, not really making my own style of drawing it yet, but starting to form ideas of drawing bionicles my own style, so i kinda got rid of the holes in their legs and stuff and made them just solid really. I also used gimp to make the lines and overall image darker, since the scanner turned it out a bit bright, but still it showed up much better in the scanner than it does with pencil drawings, i think im gonna ink all of my drawing now. :)Anyways, here it is, much neater than my previous two.I'm also thinking of using GIMP to color the picture later on, when i get in the mood to do it, i'll post that here whenever i get to it.So, i hope you like it, still i think im having trouble with perspective and shading, those are like my two main weak points in art. But i'll soon hopefully master those. So leave your comments below, and tell me what you like and what you think i need to improve on.Edit:Thanks, the arms are a bit too small if i look at it now. :/ But yeah, i think i should've done better on the terrain a bit, like the sand texture doesn't seem very detailic compated to the road, and I don't really know how to draw detailic clouds either, but still, I impressed myself with how clean this came up because i inked it. @Akuna of Stones, yes, the Rocky name "Pohatu" was intentional.

About 45% done with the drawing. No personality features yet. It's still undecided who I am drawing.

I'd better get to work on my MLP art challenge soon. But sooo busy. T_T

Hi guys, i've been doing some inking practice lately, and i thought i might share one of the scribbles i've been creating. And so here yuh have it: LINKAll this was painstakingly created with ArtLine pens, (0.1 mm, 0.2 mm, 0.5 mm) green colour pencils and a ruler. It started out as a test to see what i could do with pens, but it ended up as a test to see how long i could keep doing he same thing for ever without giving up. It was really hard. REALLY hard. But anyway, i'm rather pleased with the result. The not very visible pencil lines add a rather nice effect, if i dont say so myself. http://www.bzpower.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/sarcastic.gif I just drew the outlines of a matoran, chose a spot inside of his body, (wich is still visible, btw.) and then drew lines all coming out of that point with a ruler. This is a technique i do NOT intend use in the future. If you try it yourself yo'ull understand why.anyway, i hope you guys like it!C&C appreciated,-DwannyOops, sorry, i posted this topic twice. for some reason i cant delete it...

Hello, I have been drawing bionicles for quite some months, but the drawing of it always seem to come out pretty sloppyish, mostly cuz i have to keep erasing unwanted lines and stuff like that. I did try and trace over with pen, but it doesn't help much. Anyways, if you see some of my topics, like toa mata lewa/tahu drawings, you could see that their okay i guess, but lack like cleanness. I recently tried drawing the mata like my own way, like adding my own different parts, but its didnt turn out too well. So I thought about asking other artists who draw bionicles really well and how they actually draw theirs, and how they add their own mechanicle parts to it and stuff like that. So, basically, i just need your advice/tips and how you draw bionicles, specifcally toa mata/nuva. But another problem i think is that im not exactly that skilled in drawing, and is struggling alot on trying to copy the parts of the sets. Like i have Tahu mata right next to me and i try to draw him, though it turns out pretty awkward at times so then i have to erase lines. Another problem i seem to have is patience, i seem very patient at the start of the drawing, then towards the end i start speeding up like really wanting to finish the drawing, so its starts to look not as good as planned. And i also seem to have a problem with drawing mechanicle stuff. I recently am just sketching thngs like anime/manga picture from the interent, to just see how i can actually draw each of them, but i tried drawing EVA 01(from evangelion) and it turned out not as good, and so i think i do have trouble drawing mechs. So again, advice/tips from you is what i really need, encouragment maybe too. Thanks, I hope i'll get some fantastic tips from you all. Also, if this isn't in the right fourms, please move it?

Hello all, I have begun an endeavor to create Tren Krom, full scale, poseable, with all the detail of which we know. However, I cannot seem to find a material out of which I could make his enormous gelatinous body. Any suggestions?Zubber is no longer being made, but hopefully someone, somewhere knows of some other sculptable material that comes in red and cures to a gelatinous consistency (very soft rubber). Essentially, I will make a wire frame. i will sculpt the main body mass out of clay, make one tentacle, and mold them both. Using wires to support it, this material will be placed in position and molded.Naturally before I begin anything more than the concept drawing I already have, I need to know I can get the material I need. So, please give me your ideas as to what products could serve this purpose. Thank you!

Starting in March, I'll make a pony every month. Starting in June or July, I'll make at least two every month. Eeyup.

My new banner. Muuuuch better than the last one, IMHO.

This topic is exactly what it says on the tin. I taught myself to compose music over the past two years, and now I'd like to go ahead and have a chat with other people here on BZP with an interest in making original music. To get the ball rolling, what's your compositional style, if you could really be said to have one? I tend not to stick with any specific pattern for too long, but instead I try different combinations of ideas to see what works. In the grand scheme of things, I'm a fairly inexperienced composer with no formal training (though I get by with a little help from my more experienced friends), so experimentalism is really the only thing I could possibly get away with doing. On another note, what's your most ambitious compositional endeavor to date? Mine's a fairly timpani-heavy piece (unfinished, alas) that features several brass instruments, three string instruments, and a fairly healthy supply of non-timp percussion. It's my most ambitious project yet for two reasons - one, it's got the longest instrument list, and two, it's the longest piece I've written that isn't largely fluff and pointless repetition of the same phrases. I've kind of lost interest in writing that piece as of late, but it will come back to me when I figure out what I want to do with the flute-and-violin-based interlude.Well, I've held up my end of the bargain. Don't let this one go belly-up like the last time I tried to get you lot to talk about music!

Eeyup, won't be doing any on the computer until the Naga arrives.

Got myself a laminator to protect my drawings and sketches when I'm finished with them. :3

Bored. Sketching. Spliced together the image and background and a bit of contrast tweaking. Link.

Hmm, expected more response to my art, both here and elsewhere. Guess it was silly of me to post it on New Year's Eve.

well, i finally made this, took me a while to make this, and plus to scan this. >.< Well overall, it's also a good picture, just as good as my Lewa drawing. I think tahu turned out to look like he has short legs, and the backround isn't as good, well cuz i didn't know how to make a rocky wall that good, or a lava fall. But foreground seems okay to me. :)Here's how my drawing turned out with some help from photo.net:http://s459.photobuc...t=tahujpg-1.jpgAll opinions are accepted. :)Edit1: Well, i meant to shade the rocks like that, because the pool behind Tahu is made of lava, and is usually gives off some bright light . But it is kinda hard to distinguish so i should probably work on lighting too.Edit2:Dead topic here... I barely got any feedback on this drawing....(2/20/12)
