I'm now Premier Member. I've almost been on BZPower for a year now. In that time I've only posted about 220 time and made three Topics. In this blog I hope to post interesting stuff. None of those 1 or two line entries that I've seen on some peoples blogs.

But this and this ($12 off!) look really good right now. Unfortunately, the Medieval Market Village is too expensive and the Battle Wheel, at 500-something pieces for $40 is an even better deal for $28. I'd like to save up my money for my movie, but a deal like this only comes after Christmas... Torhuki

Edit: I can't believe I forgot to say what I gave to people! Argh, I feel so self-centered now... Mom: Me and my brother pooled our resources (By our, I mean mine ) and got her this really nice glass leaf... thing. It's about a foot long, and we got some scented candles (Oh, how she loves those) and some marble bead leaf-shaped things to put in the big leaf. I know it's hard to picture. She liked it though, so we were happy. Dad: My dad has always been hard to buy for, and every year I know what I got him wasn't what he really wanted. This year though, I was happy with what I got him: "Gentlemen, This is a Football," is a hilarious book with quotes from football players and coaches. He was laughing before he opened the book. XDBrother: The Indiana Jones Jungle Duel set. He LOVED it. I'm so glad I got it for him. Niece & Nephew: A rubber truck that makes noise for my nephew, and an ABC Turtle for my neice. Apparently she carries it around everywhere now. Unfortunately, since I hardly had enough money for my immediate family (Besides niece & nephew), I couldn't get much else. I was hoping I could get my best friend something, but I'd already given him $10 for his birthday last month... -------- So I got some really great stuff this year: Dwarves' Mine (A bit smaller than I thought, but still awesome. Lots of good pieces. =D )Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase (Finally got Indy!)Rebel Trooper Battle Pack (Which is nice, 'cause I already have one. Building my army. =P )Republic Attack Shuttle (Awesomeness in a box, right there)Rogue Shadow (This one's a lot better than it looks. Nice functions.)Barnes & Noble Girftcard ($25)Lego Star Wars Tee $20 from my Aunt$30 (Thanks Sis!)Candy / Gum in my stockingPictures to come later. =D Hope you guys are having a great Christmas! Well, my dad is going out-of-state for a while, so I opened his present to me today, and he opened mine. I got him a book titled, "THIS IS FOOTBALL, GENTLEMEN". It's basically just a bunch of hilarious quotes from football, and I know he likes football. He was laughing before he even opened it. XD So he got me the Indiana Jones Temple Escape. It's a pretty sweet set overall, but since he didn't know which Lego I'd want he got me this one. I would've preferred the new Republic Attack Shuttle, but I didn't want to sound ungrateful. He did say, though, that we could go to TRU and exchange it if I wanted something else. So we're goin' there right now to see if they have the RAS. I doubt it, but it's worth a shot. Merry Christmas Eve everyone! Torhuki

I bought my last Bionicle nearly two years ago, set-line wise. These latest sets... I don't even think I want to MoC with Bionicle anymore. I should sell my Technic. I could make a hefty profit... They remind me of Megabloks. Torhuki

Saturday, December 20, 2008 Christmas break has begun. And now that I have some time off, I'm taking a bit of it to save as many pages off bionicle.com as I can onto compact disks, in anticipation of its change in 2009. There are some parts of each page, like background images or flash objects, that Firefox won't save automatically (I have to use Cache Viewer) or load from an already saved file that I want to open without internet access, as a test. The browser relies on an internet connection to fill in missing bits and pieces, which is quite contrary to the point of all this. Might have something to do with my security settings, ActiveX control, blah blah blah. I wonder what Bink's plan to make the old web content available elsewhere involves... Maybe the plan is us.

So I'm downloading Autodesk Inventor right now. No, it's not illegally. I'm part of the robotics team at my school, and my teacher gave me downloading rights. Yeah, so it's been downloading for over an hour, and it's still at 88%. Crazy. Now this means I get to bug you people with the stuff that I make all the time. It also means I can CAD something up before making it with bricks to give you guys a general idea. Unfortunately, this isn't permanent; I have it for exactly one year. Then it doesn't work or something like that. But I guess by then it'd be obsolete... -Tor

Arr matey, they be here! Although there's one more set on TRU's site that's $40... Don't know if this is old news or not, but it's still cool. -Tor

Review is soooooo boring... GAH Poiseuille's Law states that the speed S at which blood flows through arteries and veins directly varies with the blood pressure P and the fourth power of the radius r of the blood vessel. Suppose that blood flows at a rate of .09604 cm^3/sec through an artery of radius .065 cm when blood pressure is 100 mmHg. What would be the blood pressure if plaque reduced the artery to .05 cm radius, and the speed stayed the same? ... ... I need Bunda's emote... -Torhuki

...With my new laptop. The Dell Inspiron 1525... A work of art. I love it so much. The way the keys feel, the texture of the whole thing, the color, the resolution of the screen, the fact that it's light weight, the 4 USB ports, and the built-in webcam with effects... I could go on forever. And I'm transferring my files from my mom's computer, so that's why I've not been on much. Then I need WiFi, which I'm hoping to set up tonight... And I'll have pics up soon, but I'm currently sick, so I'm kinda... Groggy. >_> -Starkiller

Yep. I ordered the Dell Inspiron 1525 (Ruby Red) from Best Buy (With a wireless mouse, too). It's supposed to come in 6-10 days... Can't wait. I'm gonna need WiFi. I'm getting help (Thanks AT) from some friends, so I hope that doesn't go too horribly wrong. And I'm going to have to transfer all of my files from the desktop... Ugh. After that, I won't have to worry about competition with my family. -Starkiller

So I finally have enough to get a laptop. And I, knowing nothing about Pentium Duo processors, DDR2 667MHz, etc... need help. I've got my eyes on a Dell Inspiron (Ruby Red) from Best Buy. I have limited knowledge, so I compared the one from the Dell website (With my specifications) and the one from Best Buy, and the one from BB came out almost $200 cheaper with more extra stuff than I had origianlly wanted. Let's see... It's got these specs: So my question for you laptop experts out there is... Is this any good? -Starkiller

Still working on the images, but how do you like it? -Starkiller

So today I've finally got enough saved up to get the game (From chores like lawn mowing, priming the porch railing), when my dad says basically I don't have to pay for it. * So all the extra money is going towards Republic Commando: Infiltration Point. I guess I'll write a review when I get the game and have played it for a while... [/DudeNuvacarboncopy] ----- Also, I got two new songs: Crazy For This Girl by Evan and Jaron, and Flood by Jars of Clay. Probably my two favorites right now. ----- So who likes my current avatar/banner combination? I'm not sure I do... (tor) *I don't want you to think me spoiled, and the reason is quite long, so let's just say he's repaying me... Sorta.

So this was my first hand-colored photogram for Photography class. I show it to my teacher, she gives me an A, then says "3 extra credit points!" Oh, whoever can guess all the parts I used gets something special.* -Tor *Not really

The day I don't get home till 5:00 is the day I forgot my lunch. So I went About 10 hours without food. >_> In other news, my creative slump has ended, no thanks to you guys. I'm about halfway done; maybe I'll post a WIP pic. All I'll say right now is that it's another sculpture, much like my Bongo and Super Vahki. -Tor
