I don't think we have a Gundam or Gunpla thread here so I'll make it myself. Anything related to the Mobile Suit Gundam brand and franchise is fair game here as long as it's safe for BZP. Talk about your favorite Gundam anime/manga/comic/novel/video game/magazine/cave painting! Show off your Gundam cosplays! Even cardboard boxes that say "GUNDAM" on them are welcome! (I've done it myself!) Show us your Gunpla, straight builds and custom builds of all scales and grades are welcome! Talk about Gunpla customization techniques! Got a cool backstory for your custom Gunpla? Share it here! Post Gundam memes. Funny Gundam pictures/videos. Gundam fanart. Gundam headcanon theories. Whatever. Any and all Gundam and Gunpla content is welcome here as long as it's within BZP rules. Anyway, about me: Grew up with Gundam Wing, G Gundam, and Gundam SEED during the Toonami days. I used to build G and some Wing models back in the day, but since I was a kid I just played with them like I would any other action figure. Got back into Gunpla when I was 12/13 after a trip to the Philippines and the massive popularity of Gundam SEED kits over there. Prompted me to start watching Universal Century stuff. Didn't watch too much Gundam anime (there's a lot I still need to see) but I was pretty consistently into Gunpla from then until I was 18 or so. Just got back into it recently and started watching Iron Blooded Orphans (I've heard the fandom whine about this one, but I'm still pretty early into it and I'm liking it so far). Also getting into the Build Fighters series, which is pretty fun.

Getting into Gundam for the past year or so, so I found one particular weapon I decided to recreate in LEGO. Brickshelf Gallery (when public)

Figured I haven't posted here in forever so.... Gundam KW7 Dragoon (Original Suit)- Dual Pulse Pistols by Mohamed Marei, on Flickr A Gundam unit from my imagination. Inspired by some of matt_One's works and a re-do of a unit of the same name I made a while back. Renders and other poses coming soon (once I've figured out rendering, that is)! Gundam KW7 Dragoon (Original Suit)- Long-range Laser Rifle by Mohamed Marei, on Flickr More pictures here. Even more coming in December! Don't forget C&C! I always like a bit of feedback (owing to the fact that I've studied control theory for the past three years.. Feedback is very important)! Bubbye now!

[Flickr Gallery] Pilot : Joanne Vasquez Based on the OZ-16MS frame, the Heartbreaker unit is designed for long-range combat and scouting missions in deep space. While lacking the active camouflage of most stealth units, the Heartbreaker is outfitted with tech to reduce the thermal emissions, rendering it very difficult to detect on most radar and scanning equipment. The two smaller eyes are, while more compact, the standard GUNDAM optic system. The third pod is a prototype triangulation module hard-linked to the sniper rifle. This allows for precision accuracy at distances previously unreachable by other armor systems. It also is able to identify other suits, ships and armors out of combat range, making the suit unparalleled in scouting operations. The Mobile suit is also equipped with twin beam sabers on the backpack. The sabers allow the suit to have a backup close quarters solution as the armor is quite a bit lower grade than most suits of equivalent size. What the suit lacks in defensive capabilities, however, it makes up for with speed and agility. The Unit boasts twin booster packs with stabilizers attached to the Twin Saber backpack. An additional center thruster also allows for silent maneuvering while scouting to reduce the thermal footprint. Anyway, enough loser nerd specs. Credit to Micah for his inspiration and help with my entry, and to Rob for just being the lovable guy he is. My Gundam was designed to exist "in-canon" with Micah's OZ-16MS Cronius. I'm not pleased at all with the over-used hand design, but it's the one thing that works thematically and structurally. Sure hope you guys aren't tired of Gundams yet!!!

I'M BACK! And without further ado, I present to you, my entry for BBC #68 , and the July Flikr Contest!!!!! ... Wait, what? They're over already? Name: Sinanju Stein Wing-X Description: Before the Sinanju was stolen, developers stumbled upon rather strange and foreign blueprints, one detailing a mysterious transforming mobile suit, while the other of a lunar-powered cannon-wielding mobile suit . Realising that incorporating the designs from the blueprints would greatly increase the mobility and power of the Sinanju, the developers set off to design a variation of the still two-eyed, gray-coloured behemoth. Comments: This was made back in December 2013. I just wanted to make a MOC with Gundam colours. And I kind of failed. XD So I completely ditched the idea of adding any more blue into the MOC, and just stuck with more red. I quite like the Wing Mode, but only at certain angles XD A direct side-view exposes the gap below the 'cockpit'. But it kind of looks like a mix of the Wing's bird-form and the Strike's Skygrasper... I've tried to make the Wing Mode look as un-mobile suitish as possible, so hope I accomplished that! XD Oh, and erm about the name. I just threw in everything that struck me when I thought about the features of the suit. Since I can't get a V-fin, why not make it a Sinanju Stein? XD Yes, sooooo convinient More Pictures: 3/4 Front 3/4 Back Back View Back View: Wings Out Wing Mode: Side View: (Eww! >w<) Bottom View: (Eww...?) With accessories attached Height Comparison Twin-rifle Solar-panel *insert another anime reference here* Shot(to!)

| | So this one takes the basic legs from my white and orange one, and does something entirely different, with an entirely new torso, new shorter arms (they have the same yellow shell, but the internals are entirely different because it needed to be shorter), new feet, new flight system, new weapons, and an entirely restructured head. I spent, man, like a solid twelve hours just on redesigning the inside of the head? Too many. The gun exists to be a gun. It's not very good because I hate building guns because I hate guns and prefer swords, but this model required a gun. Boo. This is my BBC contest entry.

Kakaru and I have a sort of collaborative/competitive Gundam build going. Couple that with the current contest (for which I have an actual entry I'll post soon), and these are the sort of things that happen. This is an original Gundam based on the SD line. Since I think the SD characters are not piloted, that makes it not fit the theme, so rats, I'll have to enter my OTHER NEW GUNDAM. | That's all the pictures.

More photos here! My march towards at least one MOC a month moves forward! So, there's a lot behind this one. On our last trip up to BC to visit Janus and Hahli Husky, I took extensive photos of Rob's Gundam collection, the joint systems on them, the armour systems, etc, with the purpose of building something based on one when I got back. Fast forward four months or so, and Kakaru built a very very cool constraction Gundam, and when he brought it over to my apartment, I knew I had to try one too. So this is my Gundam. It doesn't have a name, because it's just a random Gundam that pulls a lot of influence from several different suits, mostly from Gundam Wing designs. I decided to ignore the blue found so often on Gundam suits and do something a little less common (though blue-less Gundam suits most definitely exist). In my talks with Micah, we talked a lot about my keeping a little bit of visual consistency with his, because we'd like to display them together at a few conventions. So I borrowed the old toa feet and cheese slope vents on the upper torso, as well as an old toa foot on the pelvis. Not really a lot else they share, but I thought that was good and I didn't want to borrow much else from someone else's design.

hello I made a robot which is not based off of any particular design and is therefore a stupid robot for nerds special thanks to Deevs for helping me redesign the problematic bits like the head and shoulders and torso and also for giving me more red pieces

Well, the old thread died, and I'm pretty sure there's at least four of us on this site that likes Gundam, so I think we should give it another go.Anybody watch any of the animes or build the model kits? (Or buy the toys?)
