Weather man said it’s gonna snow By now I should be used to the cold The snow crunched underneath the Toa of Water. She glanced up at the greyish sky, the falling snow, the dim lighting of the moment, and sighed. Was it really winter again, had it been that long, she asked herself. The frost on her breath gave no reply and the snow underfoot didn’t either. Silence greeted her on this day. *************************************************** Mid-February shouldn’t be so scary It was only December I still remember the presents, the tree, you and me The Toa of Air flipped through the air and landed on a tree branch. “Tall enough?” He called out to the crowd below him. A wave of disapproving shouts came up to him and he sneered at them. “Fine, fine, another tree.” He flipped to the neighboring tree, taller than its brother. “This one?” The crowd gave a positive roar and he grinned. “Yes! Finally!” He dropped from the branch, his mask glowing to control his descent. On the ground he looked for her and smiled. “Like it for New Atero Square?” “Perfect,” she said. “Like you.” ************************************************** But you went away How dare you? I miss you The soft limestone felt comforting under her hands as she passed through the arch. She held back tears until she passed into the field. Stones stood in rows, each with a name and a symbol. Few she knew. All were mourned. She wiped away a tear and continued along the central trail to the center of the field. Not far now, she thought, not far at all. ******************************************************* He held his arm to his chest, gripping his weapon tightly. His cracked chest armor showed a rapidly slowing heartlight. His body heaved as he coughed. “Guh...guh….” She pulled him into his arms, tears falling onto his body. “Hold on, please, hold on, they’re coming,” she whispered to him. She knew the truth. He wouldn’t make it. “Dah….Did...we win?” He gasped. His eyes looked up into hers and she nodded. “You did it. You saved us.” “I-I…..love……” And she sobbed into the night. **************************************************************************** It really sinks in, you know, when I see it in stone She leaned her head against the stone, her mask rubbing gently against the inscription. “I miss you,” she said to his memory. She laid the air katana down on the grave and sat for awhile with him. A warm wind blew around her, and for a moment, she could’ve swore it was him hugging her.

Perchance you're wondering how I happened upon six-month Premier Membership. Allow me to satiate your curiosity. My plan was a devious one. Upon seeing the LSO COT Comedies contest almost empty, I proceeded to enter perhaps the most drab, torturous piece of garbage BZPower has seen to this day under the guise of a comedy. The judges promptly heaved the title of first place onto my shoulders and made me say (I crossed my fingers) that I would never again blackmail them with such rubbish as my story, which is thirsting for reviews, by the way. It is hardly necessary to recount my agreement of the arrangement, for here I am, sitting with the weight of a blog upon my fingers and a thousand methods of verbal torture upon my mind. You have six months, BZPower bloggers. Be sure to count.

Well, BZPower is back, about two weeks shy of six months, but I am ready to go. To be honest, if it had come back in the Summer, I'm not sure I would of came back. I wasn't to interested back then. But now, I am ready to get back to work. I will be reposting A Toy's Life and continuing work on it, but not Mata Nui Adventures, that is unforunatley, dead. My 1,000th post is coming up too, so I have a Short Story planned for that. So, if you read A Toy's Life, I hope to see you back there.
