I don't really see a need to. They're there to represent the years, so changing them would kind of defeat the purpose. I think they work well enough as-is.

The thing is that the reason this animation is so smooth is that it is based on a very accurate render from Lego Digital Designer, and no Bionicle masks exist on LDD. So you could maybe redo the spinnies from 2011 onward, but any further back would be no easier than it was the first time.

The Olmak spinny is very smooth compared to the Vahi and onward.
