OOC: And there were two other ones. Right behind those three. That I didn't mention at all. Yeah. That sounds good. And no, I have no preference.IC(Mirr): "Oh no...Kraata are in these things." He swung he sword, cutting a staff of another rahkshi...at least, through half of the staff before it got stuck."Oh, fezzes." The rahkshi focused it's power through it's staff, knocking him back, and leaving the blade stuck in the staff.

IC(Zand's Armada, with special guest star Jeni!): Zand blasted on with a Zamor Sphere loaded with mercury. The kraata inside was poisoned, knocking the suit of armor off-balance. "Lyrica! Get Mirr to safety!"The toa of sonics whipped the rahkshi, taking it's staff and Mirr's sword with it. Mirr, however, had different plans. He had grabbed the Rahkshi of Illusion's staff, and was using it to duel the Rahkshi that had his sword. Or used to. Jeni blasted it with more air, sending it backwards through a tree. "And to the victor, go the spoils." Mirr drew his sword out of the rahkshi's staff and rejoined the battle.

IC: When Jeni's wind hurled the rahkshi into the tree, its armour cracked in several places. Just to be sure the kraata was dead, he magnetically moulded the metal around it into a contracting prison. When he heard the satisfying squelch, he released the metal. That left 3 more rahkshi, a panrahk, and one each of invulnerability and mind reading.

IC: Kirbati:Suddenly, the mind reading rahkshi was crushed by adjacent walls of earth, ceasing its mind affects. Kirbati then used his Suletu to invade the invulnerability rahkshi. It was a very weak mind but then-- KIRBATI! Makuta YOU WILL DIE HERE, WITH YOU FRIENDS! MANAS-KO! GO! What?!A manas-ko emerged from the hole, fireing blasts of energy. Kirbati had not known what it was, for he had only faced rahkshi. He formed a cube of earth around it, but it was vaporized by the blasts. You have to get out of here! This is for me and Makuta alone! Kirbati yelled as he blocked of Zand's Armada, Jeni, and Weta from the manas-ko.

IC(Zand's Armada): "I don't think so!" The Baron blasted a toa-sized hole in the stone."I've always wanted to fight some Manas!" He started a stream of plasma at it, but the stream still didn't affect it as much as he would have hoped. "Kirbati! I don't know much about this island, but not even the Toa Mata could defeat the Manas Crabs easily." Jeni came through the hole, aiming a jetstream at the Crab.

IC(Zand's Armada): "Kaita? But...we would have to be in a state of perfect sync to do that! And even then, the only ones of us who could do that would be some combo of me, Weta, and you! And that's just because we've traveled with you for no reason other than our own morality. If we tried hard enough, maybe we could, but I doubt it. Do you think...we should try?" Jeni looked sternly at Weta and Kirbati.

OOC: Wow, here we go! This should be interesting...IC: A rush of energy coursed through Weta's body. He could feel his limbs lengthening and his power growing, except they were no longer his. When the transformation was complete, a toa kaita stood where the three had been.

IC(Jeni): The energy flew threw the toa of air as well...but then, she broke concentration. The energy flow stopped, ending the fusion prematurely. The Mana-ko approached the three dazed combatants. "Oh karz. Guys, a little help here?"IC(Zand's Armada): Plasma and sonics whizzed together at the Mana-ko, courtesy of the Baron and Lyrica."After this, I'm talking to Kuyre. I do need a better job than 'Go to Po-koro or something.'"

OOC: Turns out there's a rule against kaitas. :( We'll have to figure another way out of this mess.IC: The fusion faltered, and Weta came back to himself rather dissapointed and a little desperate. If they couldn't form a kaita, defeating the monster crab would be close to impossible. It was then that a thought occured to him. What if we don't have to defeat it? He tapped his mask and called to the armada. "Could you distract it for a bit? I need time!"

IC: Withdrawing from the battle, Weta began to scrutinise Kirbati, attempting to take in every detail of his appearance and behaviour. When he was satisfied with the results of his observation, he triggered the power of his mask. The illusion he created had two purposes. First, it would hide Kirbati from sight, replacing him with an image of what was behind him from any given angle. Second, he created a second Kirbati, a diversion for the Mana-ko. This doppleganger gave every appearance of continuing to fight. Weta hoped that if the lethal crab disintegrated the illusion, it would believe the toa of earth to be dead, and - maybe - leave them alone.

IC (Naru)Naru had hung back during the battle, being surprised both by the Rahkshi and by the chaos that ensued. She was still trying to assert exactly what type of Rahkshi they were, even as she reached out with her Faxon to borrow a certain power that her fellow land-dwelling creatures had been so kind to demonstrate for her: The Mana-Ko's disintegration beams. She held her palm out, not certain of where the beam would manifest when triggered. Luckily she had guessed correctly, and she managed to focus enough to blast the crab with its own power. Undeterred, the mostly mechanical creature kept advancing, and Naru decided to unleash her elemental power instead. Seconds later, glwoing hot plasma streamed through the air, enveloping the Mana-Ko. The Toa could only hope it would be enough.

OOC: @Katuko: Thank goodness you have a Faxon! :)IC: Kirbati/Manas-Ko:Kirbati noticed another version of himself, distracting the manas-ko. He saw Naru fire identical blasts of energy staright at the manas-ko, but no avail. Then Naru fired plasma, which eveloped the manas-ko, and began to melt.

IC: The Mana Ko continued to advance through the plasma, though drops of molten metal dripped from its claws. It fired another disintegtrtion beam at Weta's illusion, but he wasn't fast enough to move the apparition out of the way. It was all he could do to conjure up illusory fragments of toa and scatter them over a wide area. The illusion was dead.Weta found it hard to show the death of a fellow toa, to visualise every detail as the beam struck, to replicate the agonised scream. Even though he had not killed a real toa, he still felt like a murderer. He only hoped that the Mana Ko would buy the trick and believe that its job was done - that it would return to his hole. All that hung on whether or not the beast still felt the summons coming from the real Kirbati, and if it did, whether it attributed that to the dead body in front of it.

IC (Naru)Naru had been thrown off-balance by the sudden scream from the illusion, but she managed to regain her composure after realizing it wasn't the real Toa that had been disintegrated.Hearing the suggestion from someone in the group, Naru raised her hand again and sent more searing hot plasma at the monster in front of her.OOC: No really, who says what? You tend to mention several names, Nitro, but not who each line belongs to.

OOC: Oops...forgot to mention that was Jeni. CURSES FOILED AGAINIC(Baron, Lyrica, Jeni): A sonic burst blasted the mana-ko, followed by a jetstream and a plasma ball.Okay...it's mildly annoyed I think. Maybe a little more energy, and it'll...fall asleep or something. Lyrica wasn't very optimistic about the plan.

IC (Naru)Naru and her fellow Toa of Plasma were both pouring super-heating gas onto the vicious crab monster. It didn't seem to be working all that well, for despite their combined efforts, the mostly mechanical being was still not giving up. Naru could see it struggling to move even before the barrage of elemental powers driving it back.Running low on elemental energy, she decided to use her Faxon once more to copy the creature's disintegration beams. She did so, letting loose a powerful blast from her hand. This time Naru was prepared for the effect, and so the beam slammed into her target with pin-point precision. Whether it would be enough to kill it remained to see.

IC(Jeni, Zand): The vortixx slashed at the Mana-ko, clipping it's really, quite overgrown nails for it. Jeni jumped up, and activated her mask to do a fancy little aerial maneuver, allowing her to grab on top of the Mana-ko. She waved her hands in front of the large crab's face.IC(Baron): The Baron altered his Plasma stream's trajectory, so that it collided with Naru's, creating a stronger beam. The Mana-ko was either getting really mad, or really having a hole in it.

OOC: Plasma was replaced with disintegration a few posts back (right before someone charged in with an axe despite all the elemental blasts flying around...) due to Naru running low on energy and thus using her mask instead. Also: We have been wailing on this thing for some time now, but if none of us are going to take a hit from it, I'd say it's time to just kill it. It's like one of those infernal "damage sponge" bosses right now.IC (Naru)The strategy wasn't working. The Mana-Ko appeared somewhat resistant to its own energy, and elements as well. She was certain that they would all have emptied their reserves soon, and that was not a pleasant thought. Going for an alternate approach, Naru shunned her previous Faxon-copied power and instead borrowed a more subtle one: the poison of the Fire Mahi that often plagued Ta-Koro's lower tunnels. While the crab-like Rahi was... distracted by being mercilessly beat upon, Naru snuck over and poked one of its organic parts with her now venomous finger. It didn't even notice the touch, but Naru retreated, for she knew that the effect would be setting in slowly. It was doubtful that the poison of such a small insect could actually kill the Mana-Ko, but it would most likely make it sick enough to view further combat as unfavorable.

IC(Zand's Armada): The Mana-ko stumbled, and began to roll away. Jeni jumped off of it, landing on the ground. "Okay...that was chaotic. Now I have one question. Zand, Mirr...other people I don't know. What are you doing here?""Ariga." Jeni looked at Zand. "Wh...what do you mean? H...He...""He's dead. I know...you know how I know.""Well..."She stifled a tear. "What?""I...need his mask. The Miru." Jeni looked at her side, where she had put the ancient mask. It had a dent in it from the rockfall."Why...why should I give you the last thing I have to remind me of him!?""Because..."He walked up to her, and whispered something in her ear. When he walked back, she had given him the mask."Mirr...Ariga wanted you to have this. Keep it safe...and secret. That sounds mysterious and cool, right?" He looked at the Baron, who nodded his head, giving two thumbs up."Huh?" Mirr had the mask thrust into his hands. He placed it into his bag, still very much confused."Now, what are you...three doing here? Why were you so intent on fighting that horrid beast on your own?" He directed the second question at Kirbati.

IC(Mirr, Jeni): "Wow...he must really hate you. The Makuta I mean."Really? That's how you're going to put a first impression on him?Mirr blinked. The voice in his head was different from when Kirbati spoke, and it wasn't the Entity. But it sounded familiar, strangely.Erm...what?Oh. You can hear me now. Greeeaaatt.Who are you?Uh...I think I hear my...water...swishing. Gottagoseeya"Did...did anyone else hear that?"Jeni looked at Mirr. "Yeah, it's a little hard to get used to. Talks to you psychically. Not sure how he...spreads it around among multiple people though."
