Artifox
Hey there! (this is my first thread on here, woohoo!) I was looking at prototypes and I stumbled across this Akaku prototype. http://imgur.com/Lze1GSm Does anyone know the source? It looks like it could've been a video interview. Klanadack
There are other pictures of this proto circulating online that appear to have been taken in a different place, but the one you have definitely looks like a screenshot from a video. Azani
A cool find; I've seen another image of that prototype before, with the camera above and behind the mask. It was featured in this BZPower news story from 2002, with the same image provided as the one which you linked to in your post above: http://www.bzpower.com/story.php?ID=106 The article also says that a few of the prototypes eventually ended up on ebay, so not all of them are still in the possession of Lego employees. Wow, thanks for the help! I was hoping to find a YouTube-clip of the show, but it seems that the link to the article on the German site has been removed. You gotta love that guy's early 2000's hair, though.
Toa Kayn
You can find some footage of that and other prototypes in the extras of one of the Bionicle movies, I'm sure it's in the second one.
