Hapori Tohu
The LEGO Cuusoo team dropped a bombshell today - starting April 30th the site will be rebranded as LEGO Ideas and will finally leave its beta. You will be able to use your LEGO ID to log into the new site and connect it to your Cuusoo account to pull all of your existing projects, comments, votes, etc. over. As part of the new Terms of Service, projects will have one year to reach the 10,000 votes needed to enter review, otherwise they will expire and have to be resubmitted. On the plus side, fans aged 13-18 will now be able to submit projects. For more information on the change and what it means, head over to the Cuusoo site. Hexann
That's great! I've had some ideas for Cuusoo projects, but I was restricted by the age requirement. It's great to a see that CUUSOO is out beta at last.
Gatanui
Very sensible changes. LEGO Ideas just seems like a far better name than LEGO Cuusoo. It's also great that you younger fans can now submit ideas as well, though I'm a bit worried that the site could be flooded with suggestions whose quality is not good enough for a set. However, including kids in a community about a building blocks is just a good idea. -Gata 1 Quote - Gata Please don't use my avatar or signature without permission, thanks! Meiko
I'm so glad they finally announced this. Too bad I can hardly talk about it since I'm still under a non-disclosure agreement for it. Since I was one of a few people invited to test the new site, it is cool to see that some of the feedback and suggestions I provided have been taken into account. I can't wait until it launches. 1 Quote -- Meiko - @georgebarnick LUG Ambassador and administrator at Brickipedia News reporter and database administrator at Brickset Administrator at BIONICLEsector01 DISCLAIMER: All opinions and contributions made under this account are based solely on my own personal thoughts and opinions, and in no way represent any of the above groups/entities. Kopekemaster
I'm quite excited and happy about this change. I'm curious about what the new URL will be, though... 1 Quote My Writing Blog (more writing coming soon!) They'll be redirecting http://lego.cuusoo.com to the new URL. They'll be redirecting http://lego.cuusoo.com to the new URL. I never really got why they didn't make the URL for Cuusoo to be "cuusoo.lego.com", instead of "lego.cuusoo.com". Because it was a part of the Cuusoo website, not a part of the LEGO website. As for why that was done, I suppose that while the service was still in the alpha/beta stages and using the Cuusoo name, the two companies thought it best for Cuusoo System to maintain ownership of the platform. 1 Quote Latest MOC: PAIGE (Prototype Artificial Intelligence, Gynoid Expression)
