Hapori Tohu
Just outside of Toy Fair 2017, Warner Brothers had a large photo opportunity setup based on their two LEGO-related movies this year: The LEGO Batman Movie and The LEGO Ninjago Movie. All day, people were posing with Batman and Lloyd. At least I think it's Lloyd - while many of us have seen The LEGO Batman Movie and know why Batman's holding a microphone, none of us have seen the Ninjago movie yet (and every tease we had at Toy Fair is either explicitly under embargo or probably was supposed to be under embargo). With so many people taking photos with these two sculptures, it was difficult to get a close look at the models themselves - so it's a good thing I (Dan) am crazy enough to hang out in the lobby before the show opened and well after the show closed. You get to see them with and without blinding light! View the full article Quote News Forums Q&A
danny316p
Over on my other outlet, I've focused in on the ninja's tassel - an apparent hint that the normal LEGO part might be produced in a new color this year (so far, it's only available in black). Ugh, typos in this post. Embarrassing. Edited February 23, 2017 by danny316p

I'm excited—I had sort of been hoping to see it used in gold on Aladdin's magic carpet, but the version in the Disney Castle (the only appearance of the carpet since that part's introduction) just used regular clips. But having it in gold definitely would expand options for MOCists. 1 Quote Formerly Lyichir: Rachira of Influence Aanchir's and Meiko's brother
danny316p
I had been thinking dark tan - however, I wouldn't put it past them to use dark tan bricks to represent an element in gold or copper. Even the model shops don't have that wide of a variety of bricks in any gold colors...
Toa Smoke Monster
Both of these look really cool. I definitely would've liked to have seen them in person. Thanks for posting these photos!
