Hapori Tohu
Did you know that there's a LEGO TV series currently airing on Nickelodeon? Me neither. Apparently LEGO City Adventures is currently in the midst of its second season, and to that end the company announced a new set yesterday based on the show. Releasing September 1st, 60271 Main Square contains 1517 pieces, 14 minifigures, and will retail for $199.99 in the US. It features a city hall, concert stage, park, diner, tram, and more - playability seems to be the main goal here as the product is aimed squarely at younger fans of the show. Honestly no part of the build looks very intricate or appealing to AFOLs who are used to spending $200 on a set and getting an amazing modular or display piece, so I don't expect many here to be excited for the build. I am curious about the TV show now and might have to see how it compares to Ninjago, Chima, Elves, and other LEGO animated offerings.View the full article Quote News Forums Q&A
Lenny7092
Cool! Gee, I wish there are such play sets for Bionicle’s direct-to-video movies or The Journey to One. Quote I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!
Daler99
Wait, the guy in the corn-on-the-cob suit is the Mayor? This looks pretty cool, but the price is quite high for 1500 pieces. Quote ~Daler
Master Inika
The day I definitely stopped being a child was the day I learned that an entire season of a LEGO City TV show had aired.
