Circle
Good evening.According to Wikipedia, male "refers to the biological gender of an organism..." Female "is the gender of an organism...".As far as I know, the races in the BIonicle universe are not capable of reproducing. Despite that fact, some characters(Turaga Nokama, for example) are known to be female and others(Toa Onua) are known to be male.Dilemma. I think it means that there is no male/female in BIonicle.Thoughts/ideas/coments? Edited February 21, 2012 by bonesiii Let's not get that detailed about human reproduction, okay? This is a family-friendly site. :) --bones Hahli
Erebus
There's been males and females in the BIONICLE universe. This has been confirmed since 2001. :PGlatorian and Agori on Spherus Magna are capable of reproducing.
Katuko
Beings from the Matoran Universe operate on what we might call "mental" gender. That is, they "feel" male or female, and have the voices and somewhat the builds to match. Apart from the fact that they are actually alive and act on their gender, this works the same way we humans build "male" and "female" robots: They have simply been made to be that way by their creators; in this case the Great Beings.Spherus Magna inhabitants are, as Erebus says, mostly biological and do reproduce in "the natural way", and so they have genders. The Great Beings based their bio-mechs on both them and themselves, so it stands to reason that they would feel inclined to include some form of gender roles (especially as it has been shown that they at least thought they needed different genders for some elements). a goose
The difference between male and female in BIONICLE is simply psychological. There is no big difference, except that the female character's armour tends to be slightly different in the films. There is male/female, just not male/female as we know it.- Vorex [BZPRPG PROFILES] Nikarra - Kaelynn - Ronan - Muir - Donal - Aerus - Montague - Kira - Koura - Learu - Alteora - Fuacht - Caana - Nessen - Merrill
