Has anyone here played and/or owned the Bionicle Trading Card Game from 2001? I still have my cards from Legoland, and am interested to know if it is worth getting the actual game or just leaving the cards as collectibles? What would you guys say is the true age range? (Not the one printed on the package)

Your better off keeping the cards as collectibles. Who knows, you could sell them one day for a fair bit (but you know, keep one for centimental reasons or something :P)But nah, buying the game wouldnt be worth it. Who would you play against? (although if i bought it, id verse you haha)

I've never owned, no, nor played it. I wasn't even aware of BIONICLE's existence at the time. :P

On the day the wall came down / They threw the locks onto the ground

And with glasses high / We raised a cry / For freedom had arrived

On the day the wall came down / The ship of fools had finally run aground

Promises lit up the night / Like paper doves in flight

I dreamed you had left my side / No warmth, not even pride remained

And even though you needed me / It was clear that I could not do a thing for you

Now life devalues day by day / As friends and neighbors turn away

And there's a change that even with regret / Cannot be undone

Now frontiers shift like desert sands / While nations wash their bloodied hands

Of loyalty, of history / In shades of grey

I woke to the sound of drums / The music played, the morning sun streamed in

I turned and I looked at you / And all but the bitter residues slipped away

slipped away...

I think I saw a pack in WHSmith's before I ever cared for Bionicle. But I probably didn't. Given there's never been much emphasis on this card game, I've only been half aware of it's existence and I only remember it when someone else mentions the thing. I don't know how you play it, why you play it or what cards there are.

I wrote stories once. They were okay.

I remember collecting some of the cards during the first year or so, but I couldn't tell you what happened to them. The game was a little confusing, and despite being 11 or so at the time, I didn't have enough interest to learn the rules.I do know that was back when Lego was still using the word Tohunga, because I recall one of the cards having that word on it. =P-Ced
