Your theoretical modern Hero Factory trailer.

Hi, guys. I know that Hero Factory has been not here for 11 years (we need to find a way to bring it back, people), so I am thinking about promoting Hero Factory to today’s fans. I would make a (YouTube) trailer that goes like this: 

“A long time ago, 
before Mario came to Mushroom Kingdom (The Super Mario Bros. Movie in 2023), 
before the adventures in Lego Dreamzzz happened (Lego Dreamzzz in 2020), 
before Sonic the Hedgehog came to Earth (Sonic the Hedgehog movie in 2020), 
before the Justice League was formed (Justice League movie in 2017), 
before Captain Underpants was created (Captain Underpants movie in 2017), 
before the Nexo Knights got Nexo Powers (Nexo Knights in 2016), 
before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fought the Foot Clan (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in 2014), 
before the Mixels used Cubits (Mixels in 2014), 
before Emmet became a Master Builder (The LEGO Movie in 2014), 
before Superman fought General Zod (Man of Steel in 2013), 
before the people of Chima used Chi (Legends of Chima in 2013), 
before the Avengers were formed (Avengers movie in 2012), 
before the Ninja was formed (Ninjago in 2011), 
before Megamind became a hero (Megamind in 2010), 
before Gru became a hero (Despicable Me in 2010), 
and after the Toa did their adventures in the island of Mata Nui (Bionicle in 2001), 
there is a epic story where are intergalactic robots of various kinds. There is a factory that creates robotic warriors who protect the galaxy from threats of various kinds. This factory is called the Hero Factory, and the robots created in there are Heroes. They are armed with high-tech and can travel across the galaxy. There are many teams of Heroes. The best of them is the Alpha 1 Team. There are six members of the team. Three of them are veterans, Preston Stormer, Jimi Stringer, and Dunkan Bulk. The other three are rookies, William Furno, Natalie Breez, and Mark Surge. Their mission is to fight a criminal mastermind named Von Nebula and his gang of super-villains, who threaten to destroy the Hero Factory. The Heroes will soon reach new heights, recruit new rookies, and face new enemies that will hit the Heroes hard. This is where their story begins.” 

So, there. The stuff that I put the word “before” are just popular movies, TV shows, and video games that I like. I mean, Hero Factory is kind of famous, too (well, Bionicle is more famous). 

Also so, how would you make your modern trailer for Hero Factory?

Your idea is way too derivative. I'm not sure if LEGO would be allowed to mention eight other companies' properties, and for that matter many of those claims are not technically true. Before the specific films you mentioned, the Avengers, the Justice League, Mario, Captain Underpants, and the TMNT all existed, sometimes for decades (for example, the Avengers debuted in 1963, a full 47 years before HF).

The original Hero Factory trailer with Furno being assembled isn't bad. It's at least not misleading. What you see is what you get. Personally, in the event there was an HF reboot (unlikely, very few people seem interested) I would rather it be great with a mediocre trailer than it be mediocre with a misleadingly good trailer.
