I'll start out. Purity Ring comes highly recommended right now.Purity Ring makes lullabies for the club, drawing equally from airy 90s R&B, lush dream pop, and the powerful, bone-rattling immediacy of modern hip hop. Mega's remarkable voice is at once ecstatic and ethereal, soaring joyfully through Corin's carefully chopped beats, trembling synths, and skewed vocal samples.Their debut album, Shrines, comes out July 24th, and they've already released several songs from the album that are out now: "Fineshrine," "Obedear," "Belispeak," and my personal favorite, "Lofticries."Also, no hatin'. I understand that this music isn't everyone's thing, but please, everyone, try and keep this civil. It's art, just like any other form of music. M83, Celldweller, Pendulum, some brony artists, and the occasional Klaypex are pretty much the extent of my enjoyment of the genre currently. Quote
