I'll just let that sit with you all and confuse you while WE work on things behind the scenes.

Infinity is coming.

My Bionicle 2015 sets! (And a random Lego polybag for spending over $75 in the Lego online shop)

I got all six Toa plus the Protectors of Ice and Stone; I'll be posting a review of every set over the next week or so. :)

Downtime

Hopefully it'll be done by the end of next week

If it takes too long or we lose a bunch of stuff... well, it would depend on both what we lose and how much
I guess we shouldn't lose anything, but

Things never go wrong on purpose

Anyway

EVERYONE I NEED YOU TO HELP ME THANK JMJ (+Smash Files 67)

JMJ is legend

I thought I was receiving a GCN Controller Adapter, not that and a special NYCC limited edition transparent Tahu Mask! *shakes fist*
But still!

I thank you very much. Now I can play Smash Bros. the way that it was meant to be played, and I have my first little bit of Bionicle 2015 as well! TBH I'm really excited about the mask because I didn't think I'd actually ever see one in person, let alone OWN it.

Now to fight the urge to open it until I can assemble all six 2015 Toa together.

This is gonna be tough. ;_;

Thank you again!

6 Years

Posted by Lucina , in BZP Library, BZPower, Smash Files, Games & Trivia / RPG Dec 22 2014 · 178 views

So. I have been on BZPower as a member for six years. First off, to celebrate, here is a little something for Extermination.

I thought I'd go over some of the milestones from the past six years in this entry, that way I can never do it again.

2008
-I joined the site on December 22. Obviously.

2009
-In January I released my first comedy, Vultraz's Diner. To this day, the character Vultraz is near and dear to my heart.
-I entered my first contest on BZPower (a BBC contest), and obviously did not win. MOCs are not my strong suit.
-I also played The BZPower Challenge 2 in the Games & Trivia forum, almost a year and a half before I would return to the forum to play any of the Mafia games.

2010
-I joined the Comedies Critics Club.
-I changed my name for the first time (I don't count my name change in 2009), and I have been swapping names ever since.
-I hosted my first Mafia game, Bionicle Mafia 31: Mind Games. It was a disaster.
-I released Tahu vs. Tahu - my crowning achievement in the Comedies forum. While I might have started my career on BZPower with Vultraz's Diner, it is Tahu vs. Tahu that is nearest and dearest to my heart. Even now I long to bring it back, and if I can find a way to make it work with a new storyline taking place in 2015, then I will. I absolutely will. It actually released on December 19th - whether it is coincidence or not, 19 is my favorite number.

2011
-I helped to host the first (and last) ever Comedies Awards.
-Tahu vs. Tahu landed on the Hot Topics list several times.
-I became a premier member, and got my blog.
-The forums went offline for six months; when they returned, I was one of the members who returned - and actually stayed.
-I became interested in MLP right in the middle of the MLP craze, and was inspired to create three horrible, horrible display names. Ugh.

2012
-I finally hosted another Mafia game; Mafia III: The Cult. It would go on to be the first in a "Mafia III" series that has, so far, lasted four games.
-I revived the Comedies Critics Club, taking charge.
-I released How to Be a Hero, my second-most popular comedy after Tahu vs. Tahu. It eventually sort of quietly died off thanks to a lack of updates from myself, and the topic is just a mess now thanks to the coding errors that hit BZPower around this time last year. I had always wanted to re-write it in prose, but I don't really see the point anymore. It'd be too much time that I could spend on something else.
-I completed Tahu vs. Tahu after four seasons and almost two years;I should have left it at that. Regretfully, I allowed myself to follow through on the horrible idea of a sequel; The AfterWords was released that December. The AfterWords eventually ended after two seasons and less than a year, although the last few chapters were lost in the October 2013 Hacking and have not been reposted. I consider The AfterWords mostly non-canon.
-I also helped to organize the first (out of two) Comedies "Expos", where authors gathered to tease projects that they were working on.

2013
-I hosted Bionicle Mafia III: By the Numbers, which until very recently had the fastest signups in Mafia history.
-I started the Smash Files blog post series, detailing my thoughts on all news and other information regarding Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U.
-Together with Portalfig, I co-hosted the Darkest Days Trilogy of Mafia games, celebrating the fact that Bionicle Mafia X: Darkest Dawn was the 50th main series Mafia game on BZPower. It was also the first time anyone had co-hosted a Mafia game since Mind Games.
-Portalfig and I also did most of the work on the BZP Mafia Wiki, although it has since become outdated thanks to a lack of updates.

2014
-I got featured on the front page for two of my epics (Isolation and Extraction), which is very cool.
-I became a POBZPC, earning the orange (and promptly changed my name to "Sir Voltex the Blue" just to confuse everybody). The name change did its job quite nicely.
-I finally relaunched Bionifight as Bionifight Ultimate; it is the largest topic in Games & Trivia, and the biggest game in the series.
-I hosted Bionicle Mafia XIX: The Voltex Constant, which beat By the Numbers to hold the NEW record for the fastest signups in Mafia history.
-I also feel like this year, I became more active in the larger community of BZPower itself, rather than just sticking to one or two subforums like glue; I've popped in all over the place.

2015
-What is coming? Well... I will admit that I've never hosted an RPG before..... ;)

Regarding Raffles

Posted by Lucina , in BZPower Dec 10 2014 · 167 views

When there's more than one prize (for simplicity, let's say there are two) in a raffle... could the same member theoretically win every prize in that raffle?
That'd be some seriously miraculous number crunching

Go and vote!

Posted by Lucina , in BZPower Dec 02 2014 · 144 views

The new youtube banner contest voting has opened, so you should all go and vote! Of course, I must advise that voting Entry 5 would be the wisest option, but really, whatever wins is going to be plastered across social media, so... select whichever entry you think represents both Bionicle and BZPower best.

I'm gonna be honest

Posted by Lucina , in BZP Library, Life, BZPower, Games & Trivia / RPG Nov 26 2014 · 165 views

I started working in a call center on October 20th (well, training, at least. I started on the floor two weeks later). I appear to be at least half-decent at the job - I'm an inbound CSR for things like home heating, cooling, sometimes plumbing + drains, sometimes water heaters, sometimes other things. Most of my newbie teammates get spoken to about their lack of sales or quality on a daily basis (or still don't know what they're doing) while I, in contrast, have been told once or twice that I am "doing alright".

I am okay with this. I'm averaging one sale a day and that seems to keep people off my back.

BUT.

I have been dealing with more stupid people these past few weeks than ever before in my life, and I have noticed it leaking (well, more like flooding) into my interactions everywhere else. While at home it is easy to avoid (I can just go into my room, after all) and it's easy to bottle it in at the YMCA (since I'm only there for 1-2 hours at a time anyway), I have noticed that's having an effect on me with regards to BZP - so if I've seemed overly harsh or whatever, I do apologize. They say that the first step to fixing a problem is to admit that you have one? So I will be doing my best to solve this.

This plays into the whole "I have too much on my plate" right now; I started this job, did NaNo, hosted Mafia XVIII, posted Book 2, started planning + writing Extermination, hosted Mafia XIX, hosted Bionifight, organized a variety of projects with different members, and started planning for future IRL stuff too (which would take too long to get into with this entry). So I'm doing my best to scale back, and hopefully that will help. In the meantime, I shall try to not let this newly negative-ized attitude of mine continue (or at least not let it continue affecting interactions here).

In other news, my boss at the YMCA might be looking for a "team lead" person for the days/nights that she's not in to sort of take on her role; I'm really hoping that I can claim that position, because it might give me enough hours to warrant leaving the call center. Plus, I've always enjoyed (and subsequently done better with) positions of responsibility like that. :)

Anyway that's my whole "insight into life" post for tonight. Looking back, I realize that I said I was going to start doing posts like this on a weekly/monthly basis but kind of stopped. Oh well.
