Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - #8

Man, I could go on all day about this one, but I'll just comment that it's been far too long since the last box art of the day. I'll try and keep up with this more, but life and Pixar have been getting in the way. =P

That said, this will proably always be my favourite Zelda box art. It has that legendary sense that every Zelda game tries to convey here in NA, but Twilight Princess does it wihtout shiny gold packaging. Half dull gold, half silver, half Link, half wolf, the Twilight Princess does something new with a beautiful piece of artwork.

And this is probaby the one game that truly deserves the Nintendo Selects border around it, because this artwork feels like it was created to be within it.

So that Co-Op thing

Posted by Agnes Oblige , in Video Games Sep 15 2012 · 127 views

Is there anyone who owns Portal 2 that would like to try some co-op with a total noob who hasn't played the game before
do you think I'll be too godawful to attempt it

Black Mesa

Downloading it now. I've never played the original Half-Life, so hopefully this'll be worth it. I hear you only need a Source Engine game to run it?

Or am I gonna be "forced" to go buy Half-Life 2?

Roosterteeth Livestream + Madworld - #7

Posted by Agnes Oblige , in Video Games Sep 10 2012 · 78 views

Alright, who else is gonna be watching the RT livestream tonight? It's gonna be awesome. B-) Hopefully we get some insider info, and the debut of episode 14 when it ends. Anyway, moving onto the seventh box art of the day:

Released in 2009, Madworld is a game I will most likely never have the chance to play. However, that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the box, which displays the rather fantasticically chosen art style of the game accurately. White, black, and red- that's Madworld for you.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - #6

Our next box art of the day is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, the game that rebooted the Castlevania franchise for a modern audience. Having never played it nor done any research (I'm so bad at this), I don't know who it is on the cover, but I do know that he looks pretty sick. His red cape contrasts very nicely with the mostly blue tone of the rest of the box, and the castle behind nicely foreshadows what will occur in the game.

Again, if you have any requests feel free to put them in the comments!

Rayman Legends - #5

Posted by Agnes Oblige , in Video Games Sep 06 2012 · 331 views

Posted ImageAs per request, the fifth box art of the day is none other than the upcoming Rayman Legends for Wii U. Personally one of my most anticipated games of the year, my most looked forward to Wii U launch/near launch title, and the sequel to the stellar Rayman Origins from last year, Rayman Legends will be a must-have.

This box art actually goes well with the Wii U's odd blue and yellow template, which I think might turn into a bit of a rarity in the coming years. It's also very beautiful when compared to the Rayman Origins box art. I'm just questioning who the girl with the axe is, and why Globox and both Teensies are absent.

Gradius - #4

Posted by Agnes Oblige , in Video Games Sep 04 2012 · 120 views

I don't think I've ever played Gradius, but I really really want to when looking at this box art. Obviously the game can't hope to have epicness of this magnitude within, but I can dream that it does.

Besides, those '80s space shooters are all the best things ever anyway. Even when they rock your socks every single attempt (I'm looking at you, Axelay).
