Hmm... wasn't aware club nintendo was closing

It was just announced today.

It's sucked for awhile so I'm not too upset. Plus, I'm hoping the new program will be something along the lines of "you can play X number of Nintendo games for free this month".

Yeah, I heard this. There is only one option.

 

BUY ALL THE GAMES!

 

But good options to check out if you haven't already would be the DS Professor Layton games. I found them for around $15 a couple years back unopened, so I got a good reward deal for them. Also games like 999 are awesome. I hear The World Ends With You is good (and I got a copy and started playing it, though I'm not too far it indeed looks promising). I'm not sure how old Club Nintendo is, though, so maybe they don't all have codes? I'll need to double-check.

 

Ghost Trick is also awesome, as is the Phoenix Wright series. Pokemon games are also fun.

 

Okay, so I read that DS games stopped being accepted last year in Shockwave's blog comments. So, never mind.

Because I have a Majora's Mask Soundtrack that blatantly does not suck. (Though this is probably subjective and one CD doesn't mean much.)

 

Thank goodness I had no idea what club Nintendo was before I got a 3DS. Registering all of those codes was a pain but it was so worth it.

It's sucked since September 2013. We haven't had any cool regular awards (like the golden Nunchuk), and the 2014 gold/platinum rewards were just downloadable games.

What do the coins do, anyways?

They let you get special rewards.

Yeah, but platinum rewards are announced in June, so my whole "it's sucked to suckville and back again since September 2013" viewpoint still stands.

Fair enough, I can accept that.

Here's hoping whoever has Platinum Status this year gets a Mewtwo amiibo...not likely, though :/
