We used some movie passes to see Thor on Sunday, it was a good movie go throw money at it.
That is where the good news ends, I wanted to give an update on Sandy... but sadly there hasn't been a change and NY Rising is NOT as advertised seeing as they want to make people sell their houses/land. We are currently discussing options including trying to go to the greater media. It is a frustrating situation that has kept tensions very high.
In addition to this, our cat, Pickles has had to have a veterinarian visit... and she is staying overnight for a few days. She is very sick with a kidney infection, diabetes, and a slight heart issue. She has been having issues ever since Sandy hit. Pickles used to be an outdoor cat, but as we are relocated she can't be an indoor cat. Needless to say if she had issues, we believe she was self medicating on plants that she ate. Without access to her home she has gotten sick with various issues. She used to be about 22 lbs. She is now 13 lbs.
We saw her today and she was a bit better after getting fluids, insulin, and finally eating again. Still... this adds another $3000 onto our already out of control financial issues created by Hurricane Sandy.
Yesterday I was wreck, no sleep, felt horrible and depressed. And I spent a lot of time crying... I almost lost it. Today I'm a bit better but things are still hard... we don't want to lose our baby kitty.
Anyway... I wish my blog could be happy again... but who the heck knows when that will happen.
