So basically mine and Andrew's headcanon is ACTUALLY canon.

One thing I like about the Breakout wave is that the character designs make many quite deliberate references to the characters' previous set forms and to their story roles. One claim I've often seen made about both BIONICLE and Hero Factory sets is that they just make the new sets and then assign them to existing characters arbitrarily, rather than considering the character roles in the designs themselves. These sets definitely show that this year, at least, this was not the case.

 

Stringer is going to be in the Breakout TV special based on the clips we've seen online, so let's hope that the show's writers finally begin to reference Stringer's musical talent. The only episode to really explore his personality and interests was Savage Planet, and it did so quite disastrously by only making bad jokes derived from his Western accent. And I still think the scene where he used his "plasma gun" could have been written to have him use a "sonic roar" instead, to reference both his old sonic powers and his new animal powers. Hopefully this time they'll treat the characters with the same dignity as the set designers have for the Breakout wave.

When the cops come by and tell Stringer to turn the music down, he says no, because he is the music and he is the law.
