As promised, TSC now begins, please read the following very carefully. Lets get started shall we?
Welcome to the inaugural Sanitarium Contest. The theme here is simple, Build a MoC using parts that come ONLY in non playset Bionicle sets. Thats right, no fusion, limited technic, limited system, your parts selection is limited only to Bionicle, and the few scattered system/technic parts available in those sets. I have just not been seeing enough quality MoCs that are solely Bionicle Based.
Entry period has ended, voting will begin soon!
Welcome to the second Sanitarium Contest. The theme this time is pretty straight forward, Build a ground based combat vehicle, with personnel. Your entry must meet the following requirements to be accepted.
1. The vehicle must be ground based, as in wheels or treads. The entry MUST have wheels or treads and they MUST be used as a means of transportation on the entry. Transformers and/or humanoid vehicles are also fine, the vehicle may
Credited and esteemed builders are being banned? Others are choosing to leave of their own free will?
This has got to stop, I think some are taking building way too seriously. I know not the reason for this yet, from what I have gathered though it could have been easily avoided. I keep seeing talk of BZP being a "Draconian" society, with no kind of diplomacy or room for discussion. This is bad, very bad. I can tell you all first hand that this is not true. I have had my disputes with th
The entries are in, all have been reviewed and the time has come for the voting! Voting rules are simple, you are allowed only 1 vote for each poll, and you may vote for yourself, please overlook each entry closely before voting. There will be 2 rounds of voting, one entry from each poll will advance to the finals, as well as a wildcard entry. The wildcard will be determined by the entry with the most overall votes behind each poll winner. At 13 entries, there will be 3 polls, one of which w
1.Which Mistika are you getting first?
2.Which Mistika do you think has the most MoCing potential?
3.Do you like the Vehicle Toa designs better than the original ones?
4.Which Mistika should I get first?
Anyone have a guess as to the theme? It seems like it has been forever since we had one of these things. Perhaps some speculation will ease my anxious-ness. I would like to see challenging theme, something like, well, anything but a freebuild!
Maybe build a landscape?
Okay, picture this. A hovercraft, powered by propellers/motors, that floats with magnets.
Impossible? I think not. My plan is to first obtain about 1000 lego magnets (this is the hardest part), then use their reverse polarity to make the hovercraft float. You know when you turn the magnets around and they push off of each other?
To make it work, Ill first have to determine how many studs wide to make the craft, Im thinking at least 6 or 8, that way I can mount magnets on both edges of
So my order came in today, clear from down under. I guess these were not sold in the US, meaning there might be some rare kanohi in them! Rumor has it that these polybags are the ones you might find the white huna, dark blue matatu or dark red ruru. I want to open them, but at the same time I do not! What do I do with these now, sell them? Open them?
Mobile Combat Polls!
Well, seeing as we only got 4 entries, there will only be one poll! Remember, first and second place will get prizes so please cast your vote for these people and their fine entries! First place wins a Chrome Hau and second place will get a Raanu, Tarduk or Coast Guard Kayak lego set!

4. Christo: Slicers, Transforms!
Good luck all, voting ends next Friday night, the 16th of October!
The votes have been tallied, and only 4 remain! 2 of these people will be winning prizes so lets give each entry a close look before voting, good luck to you all! Eddie made the wildcard by one vote, it was very close between him and the Sand Bat. Voting will be closed n

Did I overdo the tool?

What is going on in the gulf? The US cannot handle another oil spill upon our shores! This is absolute madness, its time the president considers alternate forms of energy. I really hope there is not another plume of oil spewing underwater, I really really hope.
Is anyone else needing parts from your BBCC 53 MoC, and not able to use them?
I seriously doubt I will place in the top 3, but at any rate, I think we can all agree we should have some results by now. Call it whining or complaining, I care not, I call it a civil request. I realize the BBC staff has no sway over the lego designers, so I am not bashing them in any form. We all love lego, how about lego loving us back? The customer/consumer is what has made lego the great company it is today
Reminds me alot of Maxillos in design, though perhaps a bit more primitve design wise.
I really hope it is just a combiner set, if not, is there any excuse for such a poor design?
I was walking to work today, and as I went over the bridge I found several broken kongu inika parts scattered along the road. A foot, a torso armor, some thigh/shoulder armor and a zamor holder. It was rather sad, I thought to myself, how could this happen? Could someone have thrown a perfectly good kongu out the window? I salvaged a foot and the torso armor, I plan on making a battle ravaged kongu revamp with them in hopes of bringing some honor to this disgraceful act.
Lets have a momen
So I have been thinking of hosting my own Blog MoC contest lately, I always wanted to do one and my time being a premier member is running out!
Something I rarely see anymore in the BBC forum is well done LARGER scale MoCs. They seem to be one in a million anymore. This entry is not the official announcement of the contest, but I want to see how many serious MoCists here would be interested. There will be some nice prizes, including some collectables (Kanohi, Kanoka, etc) for the 1st and 2
Can you spot the difference between the original (Makuta) Kraahkan and the newer (Tower of Toa, Icarax) Kraahkan?
Some of you know allready I am sure, but do not spoil it for those who do not!
Okay, so this just arrived...
Now the box is in very good condition for its age, almost 10 years old now. Should I open it and use its wonderful parts for MoCing, build the set itself or just leave it sealed and let it continue to gain value? I cannot decide!
Well, the voting ended in a tie between Primus and Veq, each with 6 votes, Ballom got 5 and Christo got 1, so there must be a tiebreaker now to decide the winner and actual prizes! Voting for this final poll will end on Thursday the 22nd of October! Please cast your votes everyone! Thanks to everyone who voted and entered for making my second blog contest a success!
1.Primus HTS Octomover
2.Veq? Uni Smaat
I am getting old people! My plans include going to work for 9 hours, getting home and opening presents, if I have any!
My 18th was so much more fun...
Update, birthday goods:
First of all, some lego sets!
And some white chocolate/cadbury eggs, which is my biggest weakness!
Lastly, a limited edition Ratchet and Clank PSP with RUSH game!
Well I see we have a debacle in the BBC 51 voting. Disqualified entries popping up everywhere. All I can say is the fun-factor of these contests is on the decline. I lost votes due to this garbage, some people I used to respect, I no longer do.
Sad times people, you know who you are and what you did. And sooner or later, so will everyone else.
I have been considering this for awhile now, most of the people I have asked tell me no, building LEGO Bricks is not an art, not even if they are of your own custom design.
Well guess what, I disagree. I think it is just as much of an art as painting on canvas or sculpting from marble. Too many just assume that because lego is themed towards children, it cannot be viewed as a real kind of art. What an unfair stereotype, just because they are considered toys. If painting, even with waterco
