So I saw Deadpool this past weekend, and I rather enjoyed it. I wouldn't say its my favorite comic book movie I've ever seen, but I wasn't disappointed by it, so I would call that a win for it in my book. Ryan Reynolds gives it his all in his performance here. He does a great job with the character, in both his funny moments and even more emotional moments. (Yes, I actually got some feels with some of his quieter scenes with his love interest, Vanessa.)
But the movie does earn its 'R' rating. The movie doesn't go as far with some of its content as I thought it would've with this rating, but it definitely earns it.
Overall, I really liked this movie. It probably won't be earning any awards for anything, but I don't think that is what this movie is coming for. It was made for the fans of Deadpool, and I think in that regard it succeeds. So if you're old enough to see it and don't mind some language and other content you probably haven't seen in previous comic book movies, I'd recommend Deadpool for a viewing. It should at least get a few laughs out of you.
