There I was, innocently browsing GD, when I suddenly came across this one revived topic. 6 years old. And I had posted in it. :>
Nothing ever tops being confronted with your way younger self! But I guess I mean that in a more positive way than one might assume. After all, it's nice to see that my English has actually improved a lot over the years. I've learned to express my ideas more clearly (seriously, younger self, get to the point already!). Use shorter sentences sometimes.
Opinion-wise, nothing much has changed. I am still annoyed by "I mean it's okay if girls like it too but that does not mean they should be considered a potential market", and I am still convinced my younger self would not have been happy with Bionicle suddenly becoming super popular among "the other girls".
In view of the worrying trend of gender-separating childrens' toys (with "for boys" being considered the norm, and "for girls" the exception), the first thing remains important to me. The second part lies in the mixture between latent hipster-tendencies and a special-snowflake-mindset I inevitably adapted due to not really fitting in with people my age back in school - and wow, those things are hard to get rid of! (though it's a lot better already. I worked hard on improving on these aspects, as they are rather unproductive.)
... remember what I said about shorter sentences? c:
Anyway, just felt like getting this out there because I just had a blast from the past and haven't yet fully recovered from it.
