Lots of people have been excited to see the writers and cast for the upcoming new Star Wars film, especially with so many returning characters. But it's even better to see them in LEGO. This image was recently posted on LEGO's Facebook page, and does a good job of showing off the characters. For a more in depth look, you can see The Brick Fan's breakdown of the people in the image.

Good question. I'm guessing it's just the first Leia that was available at the time.

Still a pretty cool image though.

That is a really cool photo. It almost looks exactly like the real one. :)

Everyone is one choice away from being a bad guy in someone else's story.

That must have been fun to make. Glad to see that LEGO is keeping up with Star Wars.

Why did they use "Slave" Leia?

Presumably the same reason they used the Chewbacca, Luke, and C3PO minifigures, instead of minifigs representing their respective actors.

Seems kind of strange to use the minifigs of the actors' characters. Makes the new members of the cast look a little awkward with their normal clothes. But still pretty cool.

There are other Leia minifigs they should have used, but no they went with the one horny teenage boys were thinking about in 1982.
