Toa Green Ninja
Did any one of you own him? I haven't heard whether people liked him or not. I think his combination of colors are a bit weird, and he's a bit too massive for my liking. Of course, this titan form of him is non-canon, so it doesn't really matter. For those who owned him, is he a good set? I may get him online eventually. Quote "We didn't lose the battle. Mr. Cup of Fail
I gotten the set but I have taken it apart long ago.I think he is mainly good for parts, because the leg movement was not good so not doing like a really cool pose even if the legs do look good but the body is just bad looking and his hands are a little too big for his arms. As for the colors ya, the color are a bit weird and I find it odd that he have like 4 gold pieces on him. For those who owned him, is he a good set? I may get him online eventually. I own him. I would consider him a decent set if a flawed one. His color scheme barely works (Bright Yellow and Flame Yellowish Orange are tolerable together at best, and with the Warm Gold thrown in it becomes somewhat of a mish-mash). His armor feels a bit ramshackle with lots of smaller armor pieces that don't blend well thanks to their disparate color scheme, nowhere near as elegant as 2008 Takanuva's. But his overall build is fantastically creative, using pistons not just to support his ankles but also to support his hips, instead of the smaller but clumsier hip support used in sets like 2008 Takanuva as well as later Hero Factory sets like Fire Lord. The result is a much more mechanical-looking build than most Bionicle Titans, which makes for a very interesting building experience. And of course his component parts are about as useful as any old Bionicle parts, with his main two colors being common enough to be useful but uncommon enough to be worth getting in the quantities he provides. Nidhiki of the Shadows
I think while yes, the colour scheme is awful and the set itself has some weird design choices (like the arms) the overall build of the set seems very fun and it's just nice to have Titan version of Mata Nui himself (which can also kind of stand in as the Great Being Robot, if you would prefer). Plus, Gold Ignika doesn't hurt and the set is so massive. It's actually pretty impressive to look at.I've never owned it but I have seen it, so that's what I am basing this post on. You can pair it with Maxilos to have a decently-paired Makuta/Mata Nui titan combo which is nice as well. However if you are planning to buy it, good luck. My searches, even on Bricklink, all came up with very expensive results. -NotS
OnuaNut
I own the set as well.My experience mirrors those posted before: A fun build with a great part selection, but a bit awkward in the looks department. I kept the set together for a few weeks before taking it apart and using the pieces for other projects. I haven't been moved to build it since. I much prefer the smaller Mata Nui for displaying with other characters, but I'm glad to own the titan version. Should you decide to purchase one, I wish you the best of luck, they don't come cheaply. Quote [ blog ] [ Flickr ]
Ragnar Lothbrok
A lot of useful parts for MoCing with, mashed together because of 08 Takanuva's popularity. There are better titans out there, such as Brutaka and Hydraxon, if you are looking to display him. If it's for MoCing purposes, I would say he is rather useful. Toa Smoke Monster
I don't own the set, but from pictures that I've seen of him I can see some very useful pieces on him for MOCists. And he has the Gold Ignika, which is really cool on its own. Quote Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story. Spiffy247
Well, I got the set when it was new, and putting it together was adequately enjoyable. But unfortunately, he just does not look that great. I have fooled around with the idea to get some new pieces and fix the problems he has, but I just never got around to it. He is standing next to my stereo, and he doesn't serve a large purpose. 1 Quote A fish wielding vampire. That's Spiffy.
