The current fate of the Skull Creatures

Recommended Posts

Hi, guys! I know that 2015 is over, but there is this one question I have in mind: What happened to the Skull Creatures after they are defeated. Here are some things that I noticed:

1. Skull Spiders - There are like hundreds of them. Many of them have been defeated by being unconscious and destroyed. What about all of them? I mean, the remaining ones that are still alive.

2. Lord of Skull Spiders - Probably killed.

3. Skull Warriors - Many of them got their butts kicked and looked unconscious. Again, any remaining ones that are alive?

4. Skull Slicer - I heard he fell out from the City of the Mask Makers. What happened to him after that? Is he hiding to plan his revenge on the Toa for humiliate him in Hammer Flush?

5. Skull Scorpios - Two of them having been crushed by two giant stones. What about the remaining ones?

6. Skull Basher - He got his butt kicked really hard. In a chapter book called Island of the Lost Masks, he was called "lifeless" when it happened, but in Revenge of the Skull Spiders, he was sent to prison, so is he dead or alive?

7. Kulta the Skull Grinder - Same as Skull Basher.

So there, that's what we last see and heard of them. There are some bodies laying on the ground in the city. We know that Makuta could control Kulta and the Lord of Skull Spiders (and perhaps the spiders), who can also control their fellow Skull Creatures, but if Kulta and the Lord are disposed of, what would happen to their minions. Do they fall down unconscious, like a machine being turned off it or having batteries taken out, or are we still active and have full control of themselves? I know that they are undead, but we don't know how are they created or their origins.

Any thoughts or theories, guys?

Well, both the Grinder and the Basher are maskless and imprisoned. Who knows if Makuta may command Umarak the Destroyer to free them.

Skull Slicer was reanimated by a Skull Spider, but in the animations we saw him fall maskless through the arena, so who knows, unless he is reanimated, he's most probably dead again.

Skull Scorpios may be still found in the Region of Stone, but are most likely without any command and disorganized.

As for the Skull Warriors and Skull Spiders, a small band of them tried to attack the city after the Okotans moved back, but they were defeated. Is curious to note that without a leader they've become pretty much zombies, but can be a treat when a Spider posseses them. We also saw a Skull Spider captured by a Shadow Trap when Lewa was looking for the Creature of Jungle, so they are still running wild and are not allied with Umarak. So even with the Lord of Skull Spiders most likely dead, the spiders are still a treat, abeit not in such a scale as before the Toa came.

I recall in the second book that the LoSS is still alive and is in an underground "hive" beneath the city with hundreds of Skull Spiders. Trapped currently due to a cave-in created by the protectors.

I got the impression that he was crushed. The remaining Skull Spiders seem to be wandering around the island if the Journey to One is to be take at face value-still trying to cause trouble but not doing much in the face of the Toa's new Uniter powers.

I had wondered about Skull Slicer-granted he didn't do much, but he's the only "unique" Skull Creature whose fate has been left up in the air.

Voicing your opinions with tact is the best way to keep a discussion from becoming an argument.
So far as I'm aware, it's pronounced like this: We're ee ah moo.

In regard to the Skull Spiders, they'd presumably be little more than a fairly dangerous pest without the Lord of Skull Spiders controlling them telepathically. They might still attack or even take control of villagers if they were threatened, but with that happening on an individual basis rather than as a coordinated and sustained siege on the villages, it would probably not be hard for the Protectors or even other villagers to free them.

As for the other Skull Villains, it was presumably Makuta and Kulta who brought them all back to life in the first place. Kulta has been defeated, and even if Makuta alone could still call forth enemies to serve him, the skull villains no longer control the Ancient City and as such the most they could do is try to ambush the Toa, Protectors, and Villagers as insurgents, rather than already holding the island's most strategic position. And again, with the Skull Spiders mostly nullified as a threat, the Protectors would be capable of focusing more on defending against any new threats that might emerge.

skull basher and Kulta are locked up in the city's prison for now.  the others i would consider them lifeless they are done.

Does this mean we can get something like HF's Breakout story in G2? By the way i know that could be like the worst idea ever.

But i think that this topic shows that we need new minions and im happy we have the mysterious Creatures.

All skull creatures are trapped in a state of Schrodinger's Plot Device, wherein they are dead unless the story needs to bust out some low-level bad guys later on :P

Except for Kulta and Bashy I guess, who are just in jail or whatever instead of dead. Same goes for them otherwise though!
