BrickFair has announced a new event in Charlotte, NC in 2019. The convention will take place on March 21st-24th, 2019, with a show open to the public on March 23rd and 24th. This is the beginning of a new series of traveling BrickFair events which will be in a different city every year. Cool, it doesn't look like it's going to overlap with BricksCascade, so hopefully we can keep the one west coast convention on the BZPower MOC circuit. :sly:

That's like ... less than two hours for me.  Definitely doable depending on my schedule around that time next year!

I like this idea of a traveling convention. Some places just can't support an entire Lego convention year after year, and North Carolina has proven itself to be such a place in the past.

This will be the closest con to me, and I'll probably end up going, especially seeing as how it looks like I'm going to be missing Virginia this year.

That's a lot closer to me than most of these conventions.I just wish BrickFair would come to Florida. Heck my home town would probably make a great place to host it.

Who do I need to contact to make this a thing?

Here's the contact page for BrickFair. Keep in mind though that there are a lot of factors that go into determining whether or not a city is a good location for a convention.
