Hapori Tohu
Lego Friends in the new theme aimed at girl, which is a bold step for Lego to take. Set 3933: Olivia's Invention Workshop is one of the more unique of the Friends sets because it involves Olivia exploring a hobby that isn't traditionally associated with girls. Does this set appeal to the younger female audience? I won't be able to tell you that exactly, but I hope to give an honest review of this set and how it can appeal to both boys and girls. Toa of Nerds
I just dig that blackboard. It looks perfect for a classroom. There are some really cool pieces in there, I have to admit.-don't touch my pocket protector Quote Three great comedies at one low, low price....NOTHING! Aanchir
Love this set. It definitely deviates furthest from the typical contents from a girls' toy out of all the Friends sets released so far. It also has a lot of lab accessories to give it great variety in play value.Regarding the mini-dolls' physique, personally I think they're a fairly healthy body image. Arguably they're a healthier body image for girls than many standard minifigures, which often show they are feminine with prominent printed breasts and hourglass figures. These figures are more realistic not only in that they are less boxy, but also in that their curves are much subtler. On a side note, some people have pointed out that the robot's design and color scheme make it vaguely resemble Alpha Rex or Alpha Rex 2.0. No idea if that was intentional, but in the very least it's a cute coincidence. Obsessionist
I really want this set. It has a really nice selection of new colors and purple tools, plus the blackboard. Exellent review, I had no idea the figs were Bionicle compatible. Now I have to get some.

Ballom Nom Nom
Man, that image of female-headed Jaller makes me crack up every time I see it. XDAnyway, another good review of these sets. Again, as before, the new pastel parts look very awesome, as do the chalkboard and Erlenmeyer flask.~B~
ALVIS
Toa Olivia Inika! Why couldn't Lego have tried to make BIONICLE appeal to both genders? (Regardless of whether or not they tried to, it did, but I still wish there was some more gender equality in the BIONICLE universe.) Still, that's a debate for another day that I don't want to bring up here.I love that Lego is showing a girl inventor, as we have far too few female engineers and scientists nowadays due to sexist images and concepts. Small things like this go towards evening the gender inequalities in our world. :)I won't be buying the set, but I love the idea. Quote "You are not entitled to your opinion. Toa Sonis
The piece colors are really nifty. The concept of being able to play halfway through is nice too, in case a younger one gets bored. Very unique!
