What's A Good Title To Introduce A Non-sequitur?

And judging by how my bedsheets were half-off my bed when I woke up, I must have had a really rough night.   -CF   (Actually, the little metal rod inserted into my jaw and toothline to serve as a stick to eventually hold onto my upcoming fake tooth is now loose, making food very hard to eat (seriously, I had a donut* for breakfast. Just one, because I daren't** have another) and ruining my life for the next few days, in which I have to figure out when to go home to see my dentist about this w

What Would You Pay?

One of these? Two? And don't forget to think of shipping. So, random numbers, if shipping was $2 (which it isn't), then would you pay $4 each? Or $3? Or what if I did like Binky did with the BZPower bricks (giving me one would get you two zamor, BTW) and have each cost something and have a set shipping price?   And don't worry about shooting yourself in the foot with what you say. I'll take everybody's idea's into consideration. And no, free is not an answer.   I remember seeing these i

What Kind Of Person Are You?

Are you crazy in a sane type of way, or sane in a crazy type of way?   I'd say I'm crazy in a sane type of way.   -CF   Quote of the Day: Note: I do not compensate for injuries such as falling on the floor, dying of laughter, etc.

What Is Is?

So I built something (actually a while back) and no one has seen it unless you've been in my room lately.   what is it?   I'll post it soon, but for now I'll tell you its name: Sumorahk   Enjoy!   -CF

What I Won't Be Doing This Weekend

My parents made it pretty clear they didn't want to give a penny to someone who wants to draw people away from religion (Christianity/Catholicism in my case) and to atheism. It has nothing to do with me straying from God or anything. If it wasn't all the background they found about Philip Pullman's plans, it'd be fine.   So I have no idea when I can see The Golden Compass. It looks like it's a really good book representation, too.   The Washington Post had a good point in their review, Dako

What Do You Do?

A few of my friends use the search engine bar at the top of the screen, usually under the URL box, to go to the web pages they want to visit. This requires them to type in the site, have it searched for, and then click on the proper link. I just type in the URL into the URL box and go. Or I go through my favorites or use the favorites bar (under the URL bar) so my hand can stay on the mouse, resulting in less typing. Definitely more efficient in my book.   What do you do to get where you wa

Werewolves Revisited

The writer in me was thinking about an answer to the age-old question: "If moonlight is a reflection of sunlight, why don't werewolves change in the daytime?"   Here's my explanation for it: They need a certain amount and type of light. Direct sunlight is too much, and anything but a full-moon is too little. They need that perfect blend of darkness and reflective sunlight, which is why it won't work on a really cloudy day or early in the evening either.   -CF

Well, That's Annoying

I have to use stupid web mail while I'm here. For all four years.   Reason.   I rarely take my laptop out into the wifi. And I'm not going to download my email and then log into the interweb to send stuff.   Maybe I'll just abandon Cox.net and start using gmail or AOL. Though AOL has bad reviews, but people like gmail.   I guess I'll use Thunderbird at home.   -CF

Well, That Was Nice

Not worrying about my blog for a while.   But if figured since I needed to post news tonight you'd all realize I was back. (Granted, since "I'm back" now I have to go review a bit more of news for my boss (aka B6) before it's too late.)   College has been exciting so far. I arrived in Christopher Newport University last Wednesday, got settled in, met my awesome roommate for real, and realized we get along quite well. My whole hall of 38 (or 40 counting the two football players we see little

Well This is Awkward

The BrickFair withdrawl really hit me hard this year, as I love you all (well, most of you, not you, and you're ok... you know who you are ) and as such strong bonds were formed and reformed saying goodbye until who-knows-when was really hard.   But what I especially realized as I left everyone after our final dinner was how much fun we are compared to my local friends and friends from college. Maybe because I see them more often it's not as tough, or maybe because I know them so much better it

Well It's About Time!

So my friend got it, and he gave it to me. What is it? Look!     I can finally make my own GIF images!   So I then decided to do something. This, using my own Vahki Tag avatars.     I was going to make another one, funny this time, but then it was time for dinner.   So, does anyone have any suggestions on using a GIF program? Tips, advice, how to make timing just right?   The program is called Microsoft GIF Animator     Don't forget to pose the Piraka Fusion!   -CF

Well It Would Help

I don't know about you, but if someone adds me as a contact on Flickr, I don't immediately add them back. I look at their photostream and consider the value it gives me to have updates from it.   The point is: If you want me to even consider adding you as a contact, you'd best allow me to look at some photos first. If I walk in and only see, "This member doesn't have anything viewable to you, but here are some from their friends," I'm just going to walk out, never worrying about you again.   -

Well I Think I Set Off A Nerve

Friday afternoon. Did a little Christmas shopping earlier. Caught up on the internets and now I feel that this is a great chance to MOC a little hero/Toa I've been thinking about for a few weeks. Sounds like a good plan right? Well I guess it was since I was building from about 4-10, aside from dinner.   My brother gets back from school at probably 5:30 (goes to my dad's office first and then goes home when he's done) and walks up to our room where I've spread myself, my pieces and my music

Well Aren't They Clever...

The ads at the top of the page used to be simple jpg images, so I simply right clicked and "block image" and bam, no more images from google ads.   But now, now, oh, now they've started using flash. No longer will a right click do anything. Now, if I want to block an image, I have to actually click the image, copy the new URL from the site, and then paste that into my image settings. And quite frankly, I don't feel like doing that.   -CF   Quote of the Day: There are three types of peopl

Weirdest Birthday Present Ever

It's not until Friday, but that doesn't matter. What I got was a razor. Y'know, to shave with. It's a Gillete Fusion, with five blades and an extra one on the other end. So it looks pretty nice. The package it came in (it came the mail), it was free mind you, said something like "You're 18! Here's a razor!" Weird.   My current razer works fine (Gillete Mach3, also free from about 5 years ago), since I have about 6 spare blades from an 8 pack or something, so I don't need a new razor.

Weird Dream

I can't quite deduce what the entire dream was about, where I was or what was going on or why we were doing what we were doing, but it was freaky.   I can tell you that I needed to wear my BZPower t-shirt that morning, then decided not to change it and kept wearing it for the rest of the day. Wherever we were was in a forest thing and things were falling from the trees, and we needed to catch some. I held out my shirt to catch them in that. Consequently, the bottom half of the front ripped o

Weasel Stomping Day

So I just borrowed a friend's Wierd Al Yankovik CD ("Straight Outta Lynwood"). (First time I've ever listened to one of Wierd Al's CDs) It's funny! I especially enjoy "Virus Alert" and "Canadian cool dude" (but that word is filtered right there, BTW...) other fun songs are "I'll Sue Ya," "Polkarama," "Weasel Stomping Day," and "Trapped in the Drive-Thru"   I saved "Virus" and "Canadian" to my computer and am giving him back the CD. (I enjoyed it, but not enough to do anything more with it)

We've Got Great Members

I've just finished registering all the MOCs for BrickFair that people have sent me, and just in time too as MOCs submitted after today (ie in the next 20 minutes of typing this) won't have their MOC cards printed out and I'd have had to do that myself.   And what dawned on me was how cool our fanbase is that we have art to go along with our MOCs. Aside from Greg Hyland's art here and there, I can't think of another theme displayed at conventions that have fan-made art accompanying their MOCs, as

Waterworks

And today the Whovians shall watch Doctor Who and experience heartbreak as we have never felt before.   My girlfriend and I are aiming for a BBC livestream so we can watch at 2:30 instead of abandoning our friends at 9:00. Or waiting a few days.   -CF

Water Water Everywhere

No, the fire sprinklers did not go off. (Thank goodness.)   One of my roommates pranked us this morning. Or last night. He did it last night (2-ish) but we didn't find it until this morning 9:30-ish.   And   My roommate wasn't too pleased, but I was cracking up with laughter, and I high-fived my prankster roommate when he came out of his room.   I've heard of this prank, even saw it done to a friend, but done to me...well, I LOL'ed, so it's ok.   -CF

Want: Steampunk Exhibition

I should totally catch a flight out to California for Bricks by the Bay in a few weeks. Why? Because at the very same time in the same hotel is Nova Albion, a steampunk convention. It's like two cons in one! LEGO goodness at one part, cosplay fantasms in the other! I'm going to have to keep an eye on the internet for reviews of folks who attended both. In the meantime, someone make a DC steampunk convention, pretty please? Or give me money to go to Dragon*Con? Love, CF.   -CF Note: Dragon*Co
