Edit: Contest deadline extended! Entries due Friday 19, 9:00 PM EST or whenever I close it which will probably be after after Ca' enters.

I, ChocolateFrogs, am having a MOCing contest. This one (because I anticipate more) will have the them of a Bionicle MOC, basically Toa sized and humanoid, but not the average symmetry that many MOCs seem to have these days.
Explanation:
Seeing as how the sets and other MOCs these days have symmetry to them (
Here I go again, stating my opinion of the 2008 Bionicle sets. I've given some thoughts in other people's blogs, so perhaps you know what I think. But I will also give extended thoughts and reasons, opinions, mind you, about these.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «I am really liking these Makuta sets. Perhaps it's the wings. Bat-like, they can strike fear from up high and swoop down to attack. (But the summer ones might not be in the air)
In general, I'll aim for the re
Ah, the Master of Bionicle deadline was 9:00 AM. I got on 11 hours too late.
Here's what I wrote (under 100 words):
I should be manager of BIONICLE because I have an experienced background not only with BIONICLE but with LEGO as a whole. Since I can remember, I have been turning those colorful bricks into countless creations. BIONICLE revealed an intriguing storyline rich with mythology, heroes and villains. These aspects helped shape BIONICLE into what it is today.

Here I go, stating my opinion of the 2008 Bionicle sets. I've given some thoughts in other people's blogs, so perhaps you know what I think. But I will also give extended thoughts and reasons, opinions, mind you, about these. I will look at storyline resemblance and thoughts on the pieces.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «My opinions will be spaced out over a couple days. And before you think, "Here goes another member complaining about 2008," let me tell you that I am p
That's what Ouch said about this little scene I made after building my set:
It was a great meeting. More on that later. For now, here is the other sets I got yesterday (so I built them today at WAMALUG)
The Mars are really awesome. Great pieces but also great sets in general. I would totally recommend both, but the $20 one is awesome! It has so many points of movement to "transform" from speedy ship to super-speedy ship!
Matoro is also good. I like his weapon. I might use the mask
Seeing this, and that I had this thought for an entry, I thought I'd share my thoughts:
Seeing as how the Mahri containers are more so a box with plastic edging than a canister that can hold your set or whatever else you want, it seems pointless to me to have this useless plastic edging around a box. Wouldn't it save Lego more money to just put the sets in boxes if they really didn't want canisters?
The canisters are great because they can hold the set (or pieces, in my case). I'm even u
This Sunday, October 14, 2007, there will be a WAMALUG meeting. Everything you need to know on when and where and how to get there is in the link.
FYI, this is a LUG in the Washington DC (Metro) Area (WAMA...). Think about that before getting all excited.
I expect to be there from 11:30 or noon to 5:00. I'll be wearing my BZPower Shirt, so you can't miss me! (As well as a Brickbadge with my BZP name on it, so don't say, "Chocolate Frogs?" but instead say, "Chocolate Frogs!" because you
As you may have noticed, I changed my nav bars...again. I will also be changing my blog name soon to relate to my Neon Genesis Evangelion theme. For now my blog has a placeholder name (can you guess what it is?).
(Cause Omi said in his blog to make your blog special, and mine simply says this is my blog)
For those of you who don't know what Eva is, I still need to get around to making an entry on that. (and in the meantime go check it out)
For those who do, I have two blog names in mind:
The last week of Sept (whenever it was...) was my school's spirit week, before Homecoming. It was awesome! Basically what we do is have crazy dress up days. This year's higlights:
Wacky Tacky Day: Dress in wacky, tacky clothes and just be crazy! This year I wore long underwear, shorts, boots, striped polo shirt, plaid button down shirt open, black costume gloves, bike gloves, sunglasses, and a bike helmet.
I. Am. The. King.
And some of my friends are queens. The girls can go crazy w
On the topic of Exo-Force, I must say that the Bridge Walker vs. White Lightning looks amazing.
And seeing this makes me want it more.
(especially 15 of these in black!)
Maybe if I'm real lucky my parents will take my hint I'll throw at them sometime after Thanksgiving and perhaps it'll appear under the Christmas tree. That's the only way it'll be in my hands....

(I threw them a hint about The Millennium Falcon, but that seems a no-go.)

First off, I've been pretty happy with my Sony Walkman Atrac3 CDs and program. Tons of CD's on one!
Then my 8th grade brother decided he wanted an MP3 player, and started looking around. He's getting a fancy 20 gig from Creative.
My first thought was I'll be fine with my 1 CD (or actually 3) and he can do what he wants. But as he was looking around I saw this.
I think I'm getting an MP3 player. 1000 WMA songs (my fav file type) and it's cheap. (Don't comment on the color like all the r
I will eventually get around to making this: (but is the folder public?)

I think I might get Vakama Hordika for this. I saw the legs used once (In Aanchir's Christmas MOC) pretty well, so I might do that, and the weapons would be good since I'd like to have fire on him other than 60 System flames. (I don't have Tahu's sword) I just hope a LUG guy still has it.

In other news, I just got 900 posts! Rank removed, to keep the ranks a surprise for others.
Wrote this for my Creative Writing class:
The darkness that surrounds us in
Looming over, can we get out?
The light is our hope from the sin
Demons’ shrill shrieking, causing din
Every attack contains a shout
The darkness that surrounds us in
Swords cutting through and trying to win
Attack the evils causing doubt
The light is our hope from the sin
Dragons swooping down with their kin
From the fire, ashes are wrought
The darkness that surrounds us in
Angels’ wings flapping
OK, first off, I wanted to do this before another MOC was taken apart and I wouldn't be able to do this.
Not Another Toa Nidhiki MOC!
Toa Metru body because I'm lazy
Green Iruini Kanohi because in theory that's the shape for him.
No silver ('cept weapon) because he's described as having "emerald" armor.
And I'm not going to post this in BBC.
Now, the WIP's! (and I still need to explain why my most recent Toa MOCs have Miru's....)
I'm going to try something, in which I place MOCs in the
There's this riddle I heard that's driving me crazy. I've actually heard it before and don't know the answer. Do you?
2 doors: one of life and one of death
2 people: one that tells the truth and one that tells lies.
If you can ask them only one question, what do you ask them to find out which door to walk through. (assuming you want the door of life, and I got this riddle down right)

Editess: Thanks for the help guys! This has been fun!
(Please read all the entry, I need some advice.)
First off, I'm hope I get to do this.
Second, I hope the Lego Store has Lesovik
On the topic of first, my dad has never really encouraged my Lego building for the past couple years. It's a real pain to buy sets, and somehow I got Brutaka last year and a couple other things, most likely from the web via WAMALUG, behind his back in general, or stuff he just doesn't know about. (no one in my family knows I have the Clone Trooper Battle Pack!)

Tomorrow (Sept 19) is International Talk Like a Pirate Day!
It's true! Go to google or wikipedia or somewhere and look for it!
So, I'm going to wear and eye-patch to school and talk like a pirate!
So, while we think of Black Beard and Jack Sparrow, let's not forget some other popular pi-rates!
Ninja Pirate at BF06
And Space Pirates!
My Space Pirate MiniFig
And Han Solo
And Spike Speigel!
(yeah, I like Space Pirates)
So, I made a banner for this occasion using a pic of my fav
Darn, that's who I'm up against.
Vote!
MOC #10 by the way...

I wrote this poem this week for my Creative Writing class:
As the sun melts the snow
and the trees are no longer naked
I put on my helmet and
fill up my water bottle
and check the air pressure.
I take out my bike and push off.
Faster, faster, down the hill to
the bike path.
Free, as I pass the joggers.
Free, as I get passed by those faster than me.
Free, with just the sounds of nature always there.
I’m no longer enclosed by the walls of my bedroom.

I picked up the Bionicle Encyclopedia 2 today for $5.25. (30% Borders coupon!)
I haven't checked for the obvious mistake from the first in which (I think) a Red Kaukau Nuva is called a Hau Nuva, but I did check for one that stuck out for me and I thought Lego/GregF would have changed:
If you look in the first, the Roodaka entry says she has a Kanoka launcher.
Checking the second encyclopedia, Roodaka apparently still carries a Kanoka launcher.
Tsk, tsk.
I guess I'll PM GregF in a week
I got these and these at my WAMALUG meeting last Saturday. (As well as this promo set from 2000)
Comments, concerns, question, rude remarks? (Or comments on that page?)

PS, Bundalings, do you want the Zamor? (Say so in the entry)
So, remember these? (they're life size Zamor!)
Well, I need to get rid of about 200+ of them. Who wants one?
I have no idea how much it'll cost to ship one (or two...), but I don't want something small. Well, there are some Kanohi....
So, what do you have to trade? Kanohi are great, as well as sets. (Used are fine, as long as they're in good condition (no cracks on the joints, etc))
Kanohi:
either a bunch of small stuff or perhaps something important.
Sets:
