I've finally gotten all my homework for this term out of the way.
What does this mean for you lot? Well, I get off my lazy backside and start comic-making properly again. That's what. First items of business: Chapter 20 of Land of Dragons (a year late already ) and Newsroom #86.
This following story, my friends, enemies, and those to whom I am indifferent, is a concise summary of why I think Mudkip is awesome.
~~~
This particular Mudkip was born... I forget, some time ago... on Route 120, hatched from my not-so-awesome Championship Swampert. At birth, it knew a small number of moves passed on from its father; what they were, I forget. Being one of those types who prefers speed above all else, I specifically bred it with a Hasty nature. It was not long until I s
...And that makes two of BZPower's three most awesome spriters who have commented here. That just leaves RahiZaku, but it's not like that's happening ever.
In other news, I think I have a name for that kit I keep showing off.
And this entry will be half-heartedly dedicated to shameless plugs!
Firstly, I've finally updated the MOCkery. Click or burn!
Second, as an update on that Keetorange Dlakii situation, I've come up with a better design with the black not-so-obvious, using two parts I can't believe I overlooked: Keetorange Metru feet.
Boy, stone characters have had it rough, and that's an understatement. One minute, they're a nice Metru-brown, the next they've been turned into some random shiny brown colour found only in two sets in the entire history of LEGO, then they're Keetorange for a year and a half, then orange, and finally Mata-yellow. Not only is the indecision irritating, it also pans out badly for us MOCists.
Why am I stating the obvious? You see, I've been fiddling with this really awesome leg design I made
This is the product of several hours of boredom. I made a certain Lai pose in Rayg 2.5 (albeit coloured in 2.0 colours), enlarged it, and smoothed it over considerably.
Well, who here likes it?
Textbook people are weird.
Really. In my Japanese textbook, the people in photos seem immensely hyperactive. In my Maths textbook, they're scaling mountains while sprouting random babble about sine rules. And in French, well, they lack dress sense and watch Titanic a ridiculous amount of times.
Why, textbook makers? Why?!
Look at this... (the posts, not the topic itself)
Those people comparing Bionicle character's deaths to 9/11 (or 11/9 as I think of it)... It's Matoro all over again... :annoyed2:
Copied and altered from an earlier entry...
I know that this is the fourth time that I've posted this entry, but the role seriously needs filling - about NOW would be nice.
As you probably know if you're a regular at the Emporium (which you should be), I'm making the final chapter of Land of Dragons a voice-acted, animated short. I also intend to do that on several occasions throughout LIGHT and the eventual Unknown Turaga III. The first planned animated chapter is Chapter 9 which, accord
Because such entries tend to reel in the comments...
Anyway, I'll start with Onua. If you overlook his SHEER SCRAWNINESS, he's actually a really good set. His new chest armour piece is quite good, and it fits well with the silver Metru chestplate situated beneath it. I really like that shield of his, just not as a shield; in my opinion, it makes a good axe, therefore solving Onua's melée weapon problem. His Nynrah also has a unique piece as a cover, which I seriously like. Need I mentio
This one, though it looks so much better than the last, didn't take quite as long to make. It was the product of a bit of trial and error.
By the way, this was actually featured in my latest comic for Heroes. Chances are you've seen it already, but here it is again, in all of its memetic glory.
As you may or may not have guessed, I bought Krika and Onua today (or rather, sent Lai out to do the shopping for me). I'm really quite happy with them; Onua is one of the better '08 Toa Nuva sets, and Krika is just plain awesome. I would say more, but really, what needs to be said?
Oh yes, like I showed above, Krika's Ghostblaster fires a lot further than Onua's, not to mention is louder.
Yup. Another kit preview, with instant awesome from Jaller and Hewkii. You can probably clearly see one interesting detail here - for the Matoran, there are different versions of chests, a la Mask of Light. So that individualises them just a little bit. Also, this preview demonstrates the only other two Kanohi I've made so far, the Hau and Kakama, and that the design is sort of a merger of movie and set styles.
Oh, and don't even try to steal the kit. You just won't be able to.
Apparently, I'm there, or pretty darn close. To quote Kortu:
What else is there to say but ?
In other news, I've finally updated the MOCkery, with a long-overdue self-MOC. Take a look... please?
