So I revamped Toa Nikila and I thought, "You know what? This isn't Nikila. This is Deirdre." And so... here we are. Hooray for overcast-but-not-freezing-like-heck weather so I can finally take pictures outside!
Building Contest: Golden Oldies! ♪♫
Hello, BZPower! Yes, this is a building contest! Yes, there are cool prizes! No, you do not necessarily have to be someone who owns at building like Darth Vader to win!
Guidelines:
The idea is to build something, anything, that is directly inspired by a song which, in your honest, heartfelt opinion, fits the definition of a "golden oldie." So not a song from the '00s, not a song from the '90s, but, I have arbitrarily decided, any song from before 199
This is a poem for Easter by Les Visible.
I Do Believe
In that essential stillness...
that quiet endless hour
preceding every dawn
of every day...
God breathes into the world of sleep
whatever power might be taken
to reach
that waking moment
in the warm falling rain of his grace...
In every year,
whenever the wheel has turned
into the place where it must turn again
or stop...
for want of hope
or lack of faith...
God breathe
of Order over Chaos.
In my room. It is happening. Slowly but surely. This is good.
As a result, I will soon be able to focus ever so much better and bring you more Lego goodness! Yay!
I mentioned personal issues in a recent entry. I've now updated regarding those at another place that I can't link to but that shouldn't be hard to find.
*deep breaths*
And now off I go to continue what I was doing: baking a triple batch of my Special Delicious Cake recipe. :3
Reveal to me the mysteries
Can you tell me what it means?
Explain these motions and metaphors
Unlock these secrets in me
Describe the vision, the meaning is missing
Won't anybody listen?
Define the riddles of my mind
Nothing is really what it seems
Dreaming of Zion, Awake

Dreaming of Zion, Awake
Can't stop Sleeping Awake
Do you see what I see?
And can you hear what I hear?
Do you feel what I feel?
Can't stop Sleeping Awake
Do you see what I see?
And can you
Hi, guys. What's up? I've been pretty busy, and it just keeps getting crazier. Next month is Model Expo down in Helsinki. My first LEGO exhibition! Pretty exciting. I'll be catching a ride there with TheQ and some other dude. It will be all kinds of awesome.
I guess I'll kick off this entry with a diorama I made some time ago that I never blogged here. (It was featured on TBB, though.)

I haven't been very active in the BBC forum. Much as I'd like to share my works with

I changed my name, but I didn't join your thing.
With this name, don't be surprised if I suddenly get chased by a wild unicorn or snatched up by a rogue rainbow.
Yeah, they're technically Agori, if you're into taxonomy. I just think of them as Matoran.
I figured out this new way to make use of the Hordika upper arm as a torso. Also, the spikes on the arms turned out well.
Simple but cute. Uses the same torso construction as the original BC-Matoran. Headgear rather reminiscent of the psychic sisterhood in the movie Dune.
Happy March! Today was the first time I've seen slush and rain since winter set in here. Spring is on its way, by the looks of it!
I'll start off with this throwaway Toamod that I've had sitting around forever and finally took pictures of.
You like? Yeah, it's nothing special, but it looks cool anyway.
So in these past few days, I've pretty much just breathed, eaten, slept, MOCed, and taken pictures. The last one not so much... and not much of the second and third, either. It's my ma
Hay guise, guess what? Since only one person has entered so far (thanks, Disty!), the building contest remains open. I will extend the entry period by another... mmmmm... month.
So get a move on, get your groove on... and your flow, and your Zen, and your muse, and your creative juices, whatever fuels ya. Build something based on a golden oldie, or relate a MOC in progress to a golden oldie, doesn't matter. There are prizes to award here, so if no more people enter, I guess Disty's going to h
This is a MOC of Brenna, the other main character from my Elements 2 story. The Queen of Diamonds is the card that inspired her, but she became something else somewhere along the way.
(No BBC topic as yet. I'll probably post one thread for all the characters when they're done.)
So I paid another visit to the post office today. Here's what I brought back.
=)
The return address says "Andrew Boss-man." I swear!
Mmm, bubble wrap.
Oooh, Barnicles!
Not very stackable, those canisters. The design consistency is really lacking, too.
Pffft, instructions are for sissies!
...
OK, let's try that again.
Ehlek begins to take shape.
Poor Nuparu... No wait, that Gatling gun holds six shots! Go Nuparu! Matrix-style! [Cue slow-motion action sequ
