Oh, I'm sure it can be done, but it boggles the mind. You go, crazy girl.

Vegeta!

What does the application say about his word count?   It's...OVER 9000!   And to acheive that goal, I have been listening nonstop to the following playlist: Caramelldansen Bad Reputation Dirty Deeds Star Trek Rhapsody Bye Bye Babylon Come Sail Away I Am Santa Claus (Iron Man parody <3) Transformers Theme Song And now I need to go to sleep. =p

This Is Pretty Fun So Far

And here is the genius of NaNoWriMo: Your first draft provides an excellent idea of what not to do, while at the same time forcing you to come up with new and intriguing ideas.   I'm not going as fast as some of my crazier writing buddies (I mean really, 22,000 words in 24 hours? O.o), but I'm doing all right. I have a decent buffer in case school throws me off tomorrow.

A Fairly Decent All Hallow's Eve

Even though I didn't do anything specifically for Halloween, I still managed to have some fun somehow, mostly because of work. There was trick-or-treating going on during the latter part of my shift at the assisted living facility, so we saw some fun costumes and some people we knew and got wayyy behind our usual schedule, though part of that might have been due to the new hire. There was one embarassing bit where I mistook one of the trick-or-treaters for a coworker and grabbed some of her cand

Now Fancy That

I say, this is exciting, isn't it? Blue and orange look rather nice together.   As do neon yellow and neon pink.

What are you doing for Halloween?

Taking Care Of Business

It's at times like this, when I've got a chemistry lab report, a script draft for drama, four pages of Spanish homework, two college application essays, and various smaller answers and thank you notes to write, all before week's end, not to mention two jobs and a play to be getting on with, that I am reminded of a quote I committed to memory while having nothing better to do during the SAT than read all the quotes on the wall of the classroom I was in.   The mind that is not baffled is not empl

Hey, Boys And Girls!

I'm too tired to think of anything original to put here, so I'm just going to copy and paste something and call it a night! Actually, I ostensibly have homework that I should be doing. I like that word. Ostensibly. Oh, and I accidentally the whole State Supreme Court today. Chemistry was cancelled because of them, so yay.

I Honestly Did Not Know

...that one can get zits on his earlobe. Good to know, though, since I was all worried it was EAR CANCER or something. Well, I got through my birthday with less freaking out than I had anticipated, though one of my friends took to heart the forecast I had made that I would curl up into a fetal position and be all catatonic and stuff. Halloween is fast approaching and no feasible ideas have presented themselves, so I might not participate this year. I would like to be this, but I am not crafty en

Some Kind Of Crazy Writing Machine

Actually has nothing to do with this November, which is why I'm posting it.   As he did almost every morning, Lukas Goldman awoke to the sensation of his head falling through the space where his pillow had been a second before.   The United Worlds Corporation recognized that pillows were necessary for a good night's sleep for many species. They also recognized that, as far as blocking light and sound at optimal shipboard intensities was concerned, there was nothing better than a pillow made wi

Evil Metus

And you can tell he's evil because he has a single glove and also a gun that fires forks. This was stuck together in like twenty minutes from recently disassembled MOCs and also bits from Metus and BrickCon. Bonus points if you can name all the MOCs who died so that Evil Metus could live. If Evil Metus could grow facial hair, he wouldn't have a chin under his beard. He'd have another fist.

This November!

I shall be writing about superheroes.   Who fight gengineered armadillo men.   With GRAVITY and WATER.   On an alternate Earth.   Drama ensues.

Holy Cabooses!

I've gotten into a delightful little farce at the community theater titled The Matchmaker, by Thornton Wilder. I play young Barnaby Tucker, and among other things, I get to help explode some tomatoes, hide under a table, and disguise myself as a girl. Of course, this means November will be even crazier than it was going to have been, but what's life without three plays, two jobs, a novel, college, and an attempt at a social life to drive me mad? 8D

Also, I Can Play The Harmonica With My Nose

So I have like a metric bunchload of stuff needing to be taken apart and sorted, and that's without all the MOCs I plan to scrap and on top of homework and work and other things that need to be done. Gah. On the plus side, this is now Foreigner night.   Speaking of Foreigner, I played Rock Band for the first time last night. It was fun. I got the hang of the guitar in about three songs, then went on to take the mike, sing Gump (to the track for Lump) Flirting with Disaster, and Ballroom Blitz,

In Which A Squidman's History Is Revealed

It explains so much! Also, I picked up a book titled "The Myth of the American Superhero" from a library today. Basically, it seems to contend that superheroes and similar figures are fascists who take the law into their own hands when democratic institutions fail and that the heroic mythicism prevalent in popular stories is an entirely too simplistic resolution of complex political and theological issues. With chapter titles like "Fascist Faith in the Star Wars Universe" and "The Cultural Supre

This Just In!

Sleep deprivation causes altered states of awareness! I know this because I'm still quite capable of holding a semi-coherent conversation and walking around when I would normally be passed out due to sleep deprivation or else only able to communicate via groaning and grunting noises or maybe both. It is possible that the GIANT BURRITO I had for dinner may have something to do with this. We've already got more BZPers logged in the guestbook today than we did all last con, and more MOCs too, but l

Does anyone remember seeing electrical outlets or wireless ports at the Exhibition Hall last year? I'd rather like to blog and upload pics straight from the 'Con.   I've all my Lego stuff packed and ready to go, and I just need to pack lesser items (such as clothing and toiletries), finish this last bit of chemistry homework and also an Astral Bunneh Orb, try to go to sleep, get through Spanish class tomorrow, swing by my house to grab all that stuff, then I'm off!   Also, copypasta to hopeful

Nerdy In The Extreme

I got shanghaied into being the vice president of my college's new sci-fi/fantasy* club, which is basically the now-defunct physics club under a different name and leadership. We'll be doing fun stuff like watching movies, playing geek jeopardy, and possibly having a book club if we can get enough people who (gasp) read for fun.   I'm started to get really excited for BrickCon. It'll be awesome in so many ways. Hopefully I can make it to the Lego Store this year.   Also, should I get a Twitter
