Tri Force Heroes

It seems the biggest challenge in the game is being able to complete anything before something between my 3DS and the two other 3DS's takes a nosedive and kicks me into the lobby.   But the one time I was able to successfully complete a few levels it was quite fun.   Anyone have this game and need some players to assist?

Transformers: Devastation

*Turns difficulty to medium   *Devastator is the first boss.   *Gets hit once and health bar halves   *Dies   *Gets stuck for almost an hour   *Shamefully turns difficulty to easy     You never disappoint, Platinum.

Tomb Raider: CLEAR!

This will be the third copy I've had of the game but I never made it past the first stealth portion of the game. Once I got past the beginning portion it was much more enjoyable then I initially gave it credit for.   (It was on sale and I wanted to test out my new graphics card. It ran quite well most of the time but had issues with the TresFX for some reason.)   I'm moderately interested in the new one now, but I'm mildly annoyed that Microsoft made it Xbox/windows exclusive and Nvidia branded

Today was a good day

I went out thinking I might get a copy of MH4U.   I was not expecting the Shulk amiibo. But apparently nobody had asked about them and when I showed interest in the new Xenoblade game the employee mentioned he had an extra one in stock. And the Target nearby had one copy of MH4U left.   Score.   Also, don't ask about the pink tinge. I honestly haven't a clue what that's about.

Today in computer class

We learned how to be paranoid on the internet.   Such highlights include: Don't use online banking Don't use social networking Always pay with cash Don't have online e-mail If you do use online banking, make sure it's from a desktop with a wired connection to a secure router Don't have a smart phone Don't do online transactions Google ads are evil   And my favorite: Use a mac, as they are obviously superior to windows based computers (This one gets thrown around a lot in the class) A

Titanfall 2

So, does anybody play this game on PC? My origins friend list is completely empty, so someone else to play with would be nice.   It might at least be better than getting ground to dust alone.

Time is running out

So I got an E-mail saying I should renew my premiership. This isn't a good sign. I'll think about it after christmas, but I did this mostly to see if the $40 was an okay price. I still don't know. I figure that if I do get it that's the way to go, but I don't know...   I do like having a blog here....

This Steam thing is becoming a problem

I've just bought three games in the span of less then 24 hours.   All of them on sale.   Pfft. I won't buy a bunch of games I said.   I was wrong.   I wonder how long it will be until I just randomly start buying gift copies of games for people. I see that happening during the next big sale.   This has been one of the best mistakes I've ever made.

This is part of the reason why I dislike Nintendo sometimes...

So They've essentially neutered Swapnote, and I've heard things saying flipnote got nailed with something similar in Japan. Which is flipping ridiculous because it's not like you can just send notes to random people...... Plus I liked the periodic notes I got from Nintendo and the backgrounds they contained. Though I rarely used the App for anything else. I'm disappointed that a small group of (Insert word of choice here) ruined it for everyone.   As one of my fellow bandmates would say: "this i

This company is the freaking greatest

Fascinations has now helped me complete two of their steel model kits with their excellent customer service.   Now if only I could find a way to make whatever floor I have a table over stop devouring the small metal pieces. Thankfully I usually have just enough extras to complete the kit.   Maybe I need to disassemble one of those old speakers for the magnet...

This CD is fantastic.

O...k... Well... The BBCode is being frustrating and doesn't appear to like me. But here's a link to the video.   How do I embed videos?

There's Probably A Lesson Somewhere

Continuing on a fairly recent blog entry of mine dealing with the young lady at the restaurant, it would appear that she no longer works there.   This is not the first time this has happened, though usually my reaction is of relief that I don't have to deal with it anymore. This time I'm a bit dissapointed.   I know it's my own fault, but I just can't seem to do anything about it for a mess of reasons. I thought maybe I could do it this time.   Probably the biggest one is my inability to drive,

The Xbox Community

Thank you, 3 random players for informing me how much I suck. No wonder nobody takes the gaming community seriously.   *Sigh* That's enough Iron banner for today. (As an added bonus, I got three (I'm assuming) "Avoid this player" points for trash talking. Which is monumentally hard to do when you don't use a mic. In fact, all the avoids I've gotten where due to trash talking. So figure that out.)

The Wii U

So yeah. I've got one.   It kinda bugs me that when I went to the store to buy it, instead of asking what I wanted they immediately tried to sell me used. Which would be fine, except it's not a good deal, since the new one came with games and wasn't that much more.   So yeah. It's a nice system. I've heard complaints about the graphics but it all looks really nice. And the controller is pretty cool. When I first heard about the system I thought it was gimmicky, but it reminds me more of the 3DS

The thing that bugs me about the end of LoK

I think I pinned down what's felt off about it.   At the end of Avatar, after the final battle, Aang was shown standing triumphantly on one of the rock structures in the middle of where the battle with a slow, powerful version of the melody that's heard in quite a few of the AtLA and LoK music pieces. followed by a little bit of a time skip when we got to see how everything turned out.   Korra didn't get that. The final battle ended in a huge literal bang and then just fell off a cliff into havi

The thing I don't get about Half-Life

You have a suit. This suit can do many things. This suit can heal you from poison, absorb damage, allow you to sprint, and presumably protect you from at least some radiation, as well as detecting it. Not to mention it can absorb energy from enemy chargers.   But that nifty flashlight? Yeah, you've got thirty seconds of that thing. I'd say sprint while you can see, but that'll just eat the energy faster.   And then, to compensate, in episode one, you occasionally run across these little flares

The semester is almost done (And other life stuff)

And I am so very thankful for that. My Writing class has sucked most of my motivation out because I feel like my final grade isn't under my control. Like, I could spend another hour on the essay or I could log another 15 and it would not make a difference. And that is not how a writing class should feel. Logging a solid 15-20 hours on an essay to almost get a D is stupidly motivation crushing. Especially when the reasons that I got the grade don't make sense. I think it's worthy pointing out tha

The hero with a thousand faces

If that title doesn't immediately set off some sort of bell in your brain you might want to watch this real quick. Anyway...   I've always found the monomyth interesting. Why? Because it tries to link stories that have little to do with each other together, and it can be a great way to dissect the meaning out of stories, as well as a way to compare and make connections with other stories and show patterns and discuss the greater meaning of life, the universe, and everything.   Just. Like. That

The End of Bionicle. Again.

I'm honestly not surprised. I liked some of the 2015 sets and bought some of them, but the 2016 sets where mostly not to my liking. I don't even know what's happened in the story. I was a little sad about the news but I heard of some of the situations with the sets being not released in certain regions so I'm not surprised.   If nothing else the '15 Gali set was phenomenal so I have that to remember it by.

The call center life

What have I gotten myself into.   I mean, the people that work there are cool, and generally speaking taking calls isn't that bad.   But man. There is so much misinformation. Like, no, sir, I can't upgrade you a month early. I don't actually have that power. I'm sorry the person you called lied to you. But I actually cannot do that for you.   No. Ma'am. I don't know why your refund didn't get processed. I Realize they said that, but this is what actually happened. I can fill it out for you right

That was stupid: Part 2

I was right. That was a terrible Idea. Now instead of sitting in the seat at the table I sit at, she sat a different table.   Again, this is why I don't talk to people.
