Another G1 Mystery Solved

Thoughts on LEGO Universe

Out of the blue, I started thinking about the now defunct LEGO MMO LEGO Universe. And the more I think about, the more disappointing it seems that it got closed and that it was a MMO.   I think that game could have worked, with a longer life, if it were not a MMO but rather a 4-player Co-op somewhat open-world LEGO game, with or without online capabilities. What Would You Do If You Had...

What would you do if you were effectively immortal, eternal, pretty much had divine powers and the things that come with it?   That is to say, What would you do if you had divinity, or at the very least, an approximation of it?   Would you become a recluse, afraid that you would misuse the power? Generation 2: Umarak, Onua, Lewa, Terak and Uxar

Got some sets, time for my thoughts.   Umarak: Umarak is tall. Probably the tallest BIONICLE set since Toa Mata Nui. Probably. I'm not actually sure. But he's definitely the tallest in a long while. Bow connects a little weirdly on the right hand, though. Makes it a bit awkward to pose. Also, the trap halves on his shoulders get in the way of 'UNITE' mode with other creatures. Incoherent Rambling

What if The LEGO Movie sets were so successful we get a The LEGO Movie Movie? We would then get The LEGO Movie Movie sets.   Why were Mata Nui and Makuta the main protagonist and main antagonist of 2010 respectively, yet neither got a set that year?   We totally should have seen more 'special' canister sets in the later years, like the Hagah.   I constantly imagine the early Toa Mata having their gear functions turned to the beat of some random music that only exists in my head.   I found two

Necks

Imagine if our necks were like screws in that if we rotated our heads our head + neck would pop out of our body, and also that are necks were flexible + extendable so we could look around corners around corners, and that that our detached neck-heads could float. So you could detach your head by unscrewing it, get someone else to detach their head, and swap bodies for a while, or go on an adventure as just a head (and a pair of hands, see that other blog entry), or extend your neck if you needed

Thoughts on Games

Sometimes I get the feeling that people say games are good just because it's what everybody else told them: that it was good. No reasons. Just that it was 'good'. Or, if there were, that one part of it was good but not the other parts. Which really isn't enough to justify that a game is good, IMO. So then we end up with overrated games. However, games are allowed to be flawed. I do not mind a few bugs, but what I do mind is gameplay that is just bad and unclear graphics. Not 'bad' graphics, uncl

A bunch of G2 assumptions

Skull Spiders are not native to Okoto. Nor are they native to the planet Okoto is on. They are extra-terrestrial, coming from elsewhere. The Mask of Skull Spiders was forged by Makuta after their arrival.   The fire village is constantly on fire. This is a problem. Currently, the fire villagers have to live and scavenge through the volcanic wastes of... the Fire Region This region, the region of fire, is also rich in Obsidian. Obsidian is now a material in G2 as it is IRL. It is used for stuff.

On the UK S@H, Lava Beast, Storm Beast, and Ekimu are available, but Umarak the Destroyer and Quake Beast are not.   Don't really see a reason as to why they would be unavailable while the other three 2016 summer wave sets are released...

Bonkle set thoughts

Skull Grinder looks good from the front and the back, but the sides... could definitely be improved. Pulls off the skull theme as well as Warrior does while still feeling decently tall. In fact, feels taller than Tahu does, even if they are the same-ish height. Probably due to the skeleton stuff.   Ekimu is, as everyone knows, a protector with a gearbox. Specifically, a gold and trans-blue Protector of Fire with a gearbox. Except with lower arms this time. And infinitely nicer to look at. Colou

Even More Questions

I have no idea which colour looks better Maybe this will do? A little more orange... no, too orange and too common. Perhaps something more like this? Too easy to mistake for brown. Transparent Orange Haus

I HAVE A TRANSPARENT ORANGE HAU. It's so transparent. And orange. Trans-orange. It actually looks pretty decent on Tahu, although the transparency and being able to see the 'head' through the mask is kind of awkward which makes me worried for the gold/transparent blends coming this summer.   Also an extra skull spider so that's cool too.   and also LoSS but he's nothing special. Nice of LEGO to make his acronym 'LOSS' as a warning.

CCBStar Wars

Wow, those Star Wars figures are tall.   And the larger ones are really well designed.   Skull Scorpio's designer, how do you defend yourself?   Maybe it's just me but after seeing some of the better SW figures (pretty much every set that isn't Luke), I'm thinking that the BIONICLE set designers need to step up their game. Tahu looks gappy and awkward by comparison and IMO Tahu was one of the better bonkle sets of the first wave.

Hands

Imagine if we had detachable hands that could float when detached, and the fingers were further detachable. And our nails, instead of having to be cut when they get too long, could be sent flying at high speeds towards things.   You could do so much more if our hands were like this.
