About this blog

Words we often so desperately want to say, but leave unspoken, for one reason or another, for fears rational and irrational, whether it makes sense or not.

A Thought

What happens if BIONICLE ends up as a revolving door of starting-stopping-restarting-stopping-restarting-stopping-restarting-stopping? I imagine it'll be like this   2001-2010 BIONICLE (First Generation - fondly remembered by nostalgic and not-so-nostalgic fans as the generation that defined and 'stayed true' to BIONICLE while not disregarding its own canon) 2015-2020: BIONICLE (Second Generation - will be divisive, probable rebott) 2024-2027 BIONICLE (Third Generation - in space! Space Matoran.

Bad Bionicle Puns

Because I may or may not be still irritated tomorrow, let's make bad bionicle puns and feel ashamed of ourselves several weeks after when we go back and look at how stupid this entry was.   Dead Bionicle - a dieonicle   A cool Bionicle - a bionicool   A piece of bionicle currency - a bionickel   A much maligned bionicle band - a bionickelback   A bionicle that asks too many questions - a whyonicle   A crying bionicle, or an ice bionicle - a cryonicle   A fiery bionicle, or something done to dea

The Moon

Nobody's ever tasted the moon, have they?   Therefore, we can't really say it's not made of cheese until we try and take a bite out of it.

LEGO Reveals Flavoured Constraction Sets

Did everyone else see the announcement LEGO just made? From the second half of 2015 onwards, all constraction sets are to be edible. Colour will correlate to flavour, so we'll end up with cherry-flavoured Tahu sets, Blueberry-flavoured Gali sets, Chocolate flavoured Pohatu sets, et cetera.   A bold move, indeed. Apparently, this to increase safety amongst the younger range of Constraction fans. Well, I can't wait to taste the new Skull sets and the sets of next year!   I hope nobody's done thi

A Terrifying Thought

What if bonkles were human sized and alive with feelings, and humans were small and bonkle-sized, inanimate? We'd fear getting torn from limb to limb from MOCists as they rend our bodies for spart parts.

This Is So Annoying

You what I find annoying?   When people treat their opinion as fact. It just annoys me so much. As far as I know, an opinion is not a fact.   Ugh.   That's all I have to say... for now.

LEGO Movies and Animations

You know how some people complain about the G2 animations?   Thank goodness we didn't get mostly terrible 75-minute CGI movies. That would have been even worse. We'd either get totally robotic characters that resemble the sets a little too much or biomechanical characters that only vaguely resemble the sets, small insects somehow forming giant Wave One Red Coloured Sets, cringe-worthy lines, eyes magically changing colour to indicate alignment, and characters with more rocks in their head than a

Hammers and Guns and More

Okoto must have had a rough history if there were reasons to put gatling guns in hammers.   But... isn't that sort of, well, not safe at all? What if you fire while hammering a nail into a wall and thus accidentally break it down? How exactly would you effectively aim it?   And then Onua takes it even further by putting a drill on the back of one, which sounds more dangerous - what if you're drilling through the ground and accidentally fire? Oops, you don't have an arm any more.   What's next? G

A Few Years Ago

Remember when, a few years ago, that people were trying to get kinetics to become an element?   This was around the same time PSIONICS became an element. Psionics was made an element, but Kinetics was rejected, under the basis that a 5-year old child would not know what kinetics is, I believe? Despite the fact that a child would likely not know what the word 'Psionics' meant either. Honestly, why use a fancy name if your target audience doesn't know what the fancy name means? It was a silly elem

Hello

Hi, BZPower.   I have some questions. Oversized weapons: a plague of BIONICLE or a staple of BIONICLE? Feet with the ankles coming out of the centre: good or bad? CCBS: In dire need of innovation or the best thing ever? What's your favourite colour? Yes, this has nothing to do with BIONICLE. I'm sorry for all the inane, pointless blog entries wasting server space. They are from a fool who knows nothing and you should treat them as such. Appropriate apology?

Last Question Regarding Games

Tell me something, BZP members. Because I have these final questions, I therefore hope that I shall have no more. Fairly simple to answer. What is your favourite game of all time, and why? What has come close to replace it at the top of the list? Has it replaced a game that used to be there? What areas does it excel in? Last Bonus: What games underwhelmed you?   A lot of my entries seem to be asking questions, I should stop.

The First Question

QUESTION ONE   WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON LEGO'S HANDLING OF THE SECOND GENERATION OF BIONICLE, WHEN COMPARED TO LEGO'S HANDLING OF THE FIRST GENERATION OF BIONICLE?

A Bad Thing Happened Tuesday

I haven't told anybody this, but on Tuesday I apparently passed out for an hour for an unknown reason and I had to go to the hospital for it.   Apparently I passed out because... I almost strangled myself to death with my tie?   what   what   what     Because of this, I also had to spend the rest of the week off school in case it happens again.   EDIT: Also, my school requires us to wear a uniform.

G1 Mystery Solved

In the 2005 film 'BIONICLE: WEB OF SHADOWS', a work of absolute and unparalleled art, the character RAHAGA NORIK (a small red helicopter rahkshi turaga) explains about the MYTHICAL RAHI KEETONGU. Another character, ONEWA HORDIKA, misinterprets this as the KEY TO NONGU, a legendary artefact. The mystery is not (it is a key) what it is or where it can be found, but what it unlocks.   Thus I present to you our guess: in all of GENERATION ONE BIONICLE, there is only one candidate that fits. They ar

A bunch of G2 assumptions

Skull Spiders are not native to Okoto. Nor are they native to the planet Okoto is on. They are extra-terrestrial, coming from elsewhere. The Mask of Skull Spiders was forged by Makuta after their arrival.   The fire village is constantly on fire. This is a problem. Currently, the fire villagers have to live and scavenge through the volcanic wastes of... the Fire Region This region, the region of fire, is also rich in Obsidian. Obsidian is now a material in G2 as it is IRL. It is used for stuff.

Bara Magna: Looking for a Co-Host

Right now, I'd say I'm finally comfortable in looking for a co-host.   The co-host duties, as suggested by Jed, will be splitting players based on their roles - Leaders, Diplomats, and the Iron Tribe will be handled by me, the primary host. Glatorian and Generals will be handled by the co-host. Both hosts will be part of location and group PMs, as those are generally the most important ones. Any major NPCs will be split between, with an NPC like Tuma being handled by myself and minor NPCs handle

Remember Something About BZPower, Late 2008?

Tell me: do you remember the Metru Nui Online Game? Created by BZP users -Takua- and Tula.   It came out in late 2008. It had a 'promotion' of those disk banners, of which were interactive and you could collect about up to 50 disks. Remember? That promotion itself started pretty much exactly seven years ago. (Related in terms of interactive banners - in 2009 came the whack-a-thornax banners. Surprising to see them still in a signature recently. That's old...)   It's still being hosted online, s

Hands

Imagine if we had detachable hands that could float when detached, and the fingers were further detachable. And our nails, instead of having to be cut when they get too long, could be sent flying at high speeds towards things.   You could do so much more if our hands were like this.

A Serious Question

In the BIONICLE Canon, both G1 and G2, do the bonkles actually have the gears on their back that turn their arms/waist, and if so, can they be turned by other bonkles?
