Just went to Zellers, got Pohatu and Photok. Orange FTW!
But Photok had Gavla's instructions. Didn't matter, I built him in like, 30 seconds.
I built both sets on the way home, in the dark.
As soon as I got home I ripped them apart. I had to look away the moment I got inside. Their forms still burn my eyes.
Lego, what the Muaka did you do to Pohatu? How much time did you spend, torturing him on the rack?

Okay, so Lego's recent sets fail. This is truthiness, and for many reasons. I will attempt to list some of them here.
Proportions on any set 06 onward are so hideous that I don't keep them built for more than a minute, if I even build them at all. Limb lengths are utterly off, shoulders are much wider than they should be, torso is paper-thin. Same torso parts are reused to the point where every torso is a clone of the previous one. And I thought Lego decided not to clone sets. These sets look

Anyways, here's the font I've been using for MOC pics recently, though it's just a pic; you'll have to copy individual letters, since I suck at Font Creator.

Warning, minor rant ahead.
The Piraka torso fails. Even the Metru torso was better. Y'know why? Depth. The Metru torso was fairly thick from front to back, giving it a much better look than the Piraka/Inika/Mahri torsos that so plague sets these days.
So it seems that the Bionicle universe is full of wide-shouldered, thin-limbed, paper-torsoed apes.
This fails.
Lego, get some set designers with some knowledge of anatomy.
And, while I'm at it, get some who know how to do functions
